If you buy straight from Opinel, you can get the blade and/or handle engraved. They even do logos and artwork if you upload a jpeg file. Surprisingly affordable engraving too.

We got a chance to shoot at 12" X 18" silhouette targets at 100 yds at a class I took once. It took me 6 shots to hit it. I'm a better shot than that now, but my money is on you. I don't think 1 in 100 average gun owners can do it in 2 shots.

I don't have a problem with the media referring to them as gangs. That's what they acted like. It's up to the public to realize that all MC clubs aren't gangs, just like we realize all rednecks don't have a noose in the bed of their truck, all gay people don't have AIDS, all Hispanics aren't here illegally, all Muslims aren't terrorists, and all Democrats aren't commie-douchebag-hippie-A*holes.

That is very a very nice piece. I'd be quite interested in a lighter weight version of that.

Proof that Concealed Carry permit holders live in a dream world
BigK replied to Ron_TN's topic in General Chat
This video has been used against concealed carry a lot. Try pointing out the inexperience of the kids chosen, awkward holsters, ridiculously impractical cover garments, and bad guys that know where they'll be seated and sadly, the left still believes it's an accurate simulation. -
This is definitely not "the list", in fact it says "based on Alien Gear Holster sales. Too many things wrong with basing popularity on one mfg's holster sales, but the style of carry alone skews the numbers. Nonetheless, they probably sell a lot of holsters, so you can at least say this would be a fair representation of handgun sales for owners who prefer hybrid IWB holsters under $30.

I do all the cooking at my house and I'm with you 100% about sharp kitchen knives. My wife and my daughter don't have the best knife skills in the world, so when they do use my kitchen knives I want them to be sharp. It will actually lessen the likelihood of them getting cut. I have a Chef's Choice sharpener under my cabinet collecting dust. It did an acceptable jog at sharpening my longer kitchen knives, but not so good for pairing and utility knives. I quit using it when I got a Spyderco Sharpmaker.

truer words have not been spoken about this man Got to see him many moons ago back when Starwood Amphitheater was a thing...greatest concert I've ever seen. Crossed that one off my bucket list. Loved his music so much I named my dog Lucille after his guitar. We may feel this loss today, but his legacy will never end.

The closest place I know of is in Woodbury. They have a "pit" where you can shoot pellets/shot as much as you want. Here's a link to their FB page, if you can hold your nose long enough to use FB... https://www.facebook.com/pages/Ok-Corral-Shooting-Range/176107609185970

Sorry, if this is dumb question, but... Don't those rails have to go in place before you set the posts? If so, I hope your posts aren't cemented into the ground...otherwise how are you going to get a new rail in place?

Sheriff's employees may have profited during ammo shortage
BigK replied to TripleDigitRide's topic in General Chat
From what I've read, what they did that actually broke policy is using the computers for personal business.Almost everyone who uses a computer at work does that. While technically wrong, it's not worth losing what may otherwise be a good employee over. I may be wrong, but it seems to me most people are butt-hurt that they used their connections to get ammo when others couldn't and made some money off it. I hate the ammo gougers as much as anyone, but I don't think any of them, including these county employees, deserve to lose their jobs over selling ammo at a profit, let alone being prosecuted. Sounds like jealousy and sour grapes to me. -
I pocket carry a .45 XD-s 3.3 every day in a slim kydex holster. Sure it's heavier/bulkier than my P32, but I don't mind it. If I didn't wear loose fitting pants, I couldn't pull it off. I've also pocket carried a Ruger SP101 for a while. It wasn't so bad either.

He's definitely a magnet for trouble. I can't believe he stayed in FL after the Martin trial. If he had any sense, he'd have moved somewhere like Utah or Idaho where he'd have fewer enemies.

Thanks it was a fun project...now I have the coolest pair of $10 earbuds I've owned

Great story, I always like Larry Potterfield and my dad always had a MidwayUSA catalog in the gun cabinet.

Is this going to be a competition gun?

Like GregInTenn said, you can get the OAL from a factory round that you know will cycle well in your gun(s), but the amount of powder might still need to be tweaked until you get the best reliability and accuracy. Starting somewhere around 1/3 of the way between min and max is what I do when I switch powders. To work up a good load I make 10 rounds at that charge, 10 rounds a little lighter and 10 rounds a little hotter. If I see a measurable difference in accuracy and all the rounds cycle well, I may even tweak it further with 30 more rounds with powder weights closer to the one that I found to be the most accurate in my previous batch. BTW...I have 45 brass that I have no doubt has been reloaded 30 or 40 times, because I barely flare/crimp the mouth...works for 9mm too.

Maybe even state laws prohibiting the transport of open coffee cups in vehicles without TDOT tested spill guards and cup holders. You know, to protect stupid people from themselves.

My mother-in-law swears by using mothballs to deter rodents. I'm sure it works, I can't stand the smell of those darn things either.

I won't put a cold drink with a lid between my legs in a car, let alone a hot one. If you can't anticipate the possibility of a flimsy plastic lid coming loose, a bump in the road, or just unsteady hands removing a lid, not only do you need to stay away from hot beverages, you need a walking-around helmet. You're probably right, but if it got this far into the news, it may be past that point. Regardless, as consumers, we bear the cost of these frivolous lawsuits and out of court settlements. Every time someone wins these cases, a light bulb comes on in the minds of scandalous people looking for a quick buck. Many of these cases would never see the inside of a court room if we weren't one of the only western democracies that doesn't have a "loser pays" judicial system.

The exterminator tells me that rats are very skiddish of traps, so sometimes it takes days before they'll get anywhere near a trap. Mice, on the other hand, are overly curious and will investigate new things, so traps that haven't caught something in a day or 2 should be relocated. I haven't seen a rat since I was a teenager, so I can't verify this. It's just what I was told.

Check out Mr. Fancy McSpends-a-Lot splurging on magazines, LOL. Seriously though, does anyone actually make aftermarket mags for these?
