  1. Sitting on that stool, he's almost as tall as you are standing. To put it in perspective, he's 2" taller than Michael Jordan. :o:   I met him at an RK Show back when they still had them in Hendersonville...very nice guy. He's an asset to the shooting community.
  2.   I always wanted a remote controlled plane or helicopter when I was a kid...still do, especially now that they can take pics and video. When it was a toy I don't recall there being so much paranoia. Now that they're called drones everyone acts like the sky is falling. :panic:
  3. Aside from the mfg that prohibit discounting (Glock comes to mind), some shops make more money on a transfer than they do on a sale. Other shops (FGS comes to mind) the mark-up is at or above MSRP.       Definitely my favorite local shop now.
  4. Say what you will, but he must know a thing or 2 about sharpening a blade. Most of those cuts were pretty clean.
  5.   Don't ask, don't tell? LMAO

Thanks, I just found my next BCG
  7. I like this time/place/day better than any of the ones in the past! I'll be there.   Can't wait to see musicman in his cowboy outfit...hope he puts pants on under the chaps this time.
  8.   It's my understanding that states interpret the constitutionality of bans differently, because it hasn't been ruled on by SCOTUS yet.   I agree that this ruling could go in our favor, which would make existing bans in the commie citices/states unconstitutional and thus null/void. Does that sound right?   If it doesn't go our way, it would serve as validation that existing bans were legal and may embolden any state/municipality that is on the the fence to institute bans of their own. Just a pessimistic expectation maybe?
  9. Am I the only one who thinks shoring up the blockades at the quarry would have been a wiser use of resources than building what they did for the Pied Piper idea?
  10.   I agree...maybe better to let what happens in Chicago stay in Chicago instead of pushing the SCOTUS to make a decision.   On one hand, they could say the gov't doesn't have the right to ban anything, opening the door to repealing NFA and the like. On the other hand, they could say local/state/fed can do what they're doing, emboldening more cities, states, or feds to enact even more tyranny.
  11.   I like Morgan and think Lennie James is a fine actor, but his fake southern accent is among the worse I've ever heard.
  12. My wife is that way about books, she has hundreds too. To her credit she's read them all at least once and many several times. I see some of her books that I know she bought new that show serious wear from being read so many times.   I'm too fidgety to sit down and read. I only do audio books, so I can multi-task, especially while driving. That's the only way I can "read" a book without my mind wandering and having to re-read pages all the time.
  13. I don't know if I got the suggestion here on TGO or elsewhere, but someone recommended the Zombie Fallout series. It was the last series I tried before doing AUD again. It was pretty good, but there wasn't enough of the survival aspect for my taste.
  14. Crossbreed offers a 2 week trial. If you don't like it, they'll buy it back. Plus you get a lifetime guarantee too, but it's about 50% more expensive.   If I were buying an Alien Gear IWB hybrid, I'd get the original Cloak tuck instead of the 2.0 or 3.0. I prefer the leather over the synthetic material, plus it's cheaper.
  15. Well, I'm gonna be "THAT" guy for sure now...I'm almost finished the series for the second time. This time around I bought them from Audible to try a different presentation...glad I did. This is my favorite zombie book series as well. BTW, look what came in the mail today:
  16.   Depends on whether you're talking about Prayer Rugs 'R Us or Menorah Mart...I'd hate to miss out on that discount.
  17.   Absolutely agree! I barely feel that 1/2 pound of gun, even if I'm wearing basketball shorts around the house without the drawstring tied. Awesome little gun...love mine.
  18. After reading the story, watching videos, and reading comments here on TGO and all over the web, I am impressed with how the shop's idea has turned out.   Best case scenario: small town gun shop owner implements a capitalistic idea that he believes will gain him national attention, increase his foot traffic, make his little shop famous, and improve his bottom-line. Worst case scenario: small town gun shop owner hates other religions, offers Christians discount the unintended result of which gains him national attention, increases his foot traffic, makes his little shop famous, and improves his bottom-line   I don't care which is the case or if it's somewhere in the middle..I call it a HUGE win for this guy. The risk of losing any of his customer base vs gaining more customers/supports is statistically insignificant.
  19.   That's likely cheaper than the productivity lost to the flu.
  20. My new job is offering flu vaccines free. Mine is scheduled for Tuesday. Better to have one than not, IMO.
  21. I hope the parole officers were done eating anyway and were asked to leave before paying.   Regardless, I wouldn't even take them up on the free lunch after they kicked me out.
  22. I can't believe they left without paying and the restaurant did NOTHING about it.
  23. I bought the 3-mode version of the same light a few years ago. It was cheap and seemed well-made. The thin rubber over the switch held up better than I expected.   I've got 3 complaints about this light: 1) the battery rattles inside the body, but a few layers of electrical tape around the middle of the battery solved that, however; 2) from day one I have to whack the light against my palm to get it to come on...not a good "feature" in an EDC light; and 3) it uses up a batteries faster than I expected.   For the price, none of these complaints would keep me from keeping a few of these on hand for convenience, but I wouldn't rely on them for emergencies.
  24.     Gotta refuel that enormous beast too.
  25.   My wife even called them out on that douche bag move. They drove right by all their neighbors and didn't warn a soul about what was coming even though they had enough time and then left the gate open to add insult to injury. Extreme douche baggery!!    As far as the writing goes, this series ranks right up there with Warm Bodies and Zombie Strippers. The same people that left their neighbors to die are surrounded by zombies in an unfamiliar building and they stop to let the people the gov't thought were dangerous out of their cages. Where do they find such crappy writers.   Salazar is the only character I like, he's the Daryl of this series IMO.   I thought we all agreed, NO FAST ZOMBIES!!!
