I've only handled the VP9 at a gun store. The only thing I really hated was the mag release. I actually got to shoot a co-worker's PPQ and it was sweet. I don't see how the H&K could shoot any better to be honest, so the tie goes to the Walther, IMO. This is based largely on the fact that the PPQ's still awkward mag release was much easier to press. I still don't like that paddle style mag releases, but it's better than the one on the H&K.

I don't understand why any man would rather be in a kitchen instead of a garage. Space heater for the win. --sent from my top secret lair (yeah, the garage)

I can always count on you for some of the best blade porn on the internet!! Great looking knife as usual.

I was advised by someone I respect a GREAT deal on here when I was first starting to build ARs that a lower receiver is the absolute worst place on an AR build to waste any money on upgrades. I tend to agree and have lived that advice ever since.
-
Me and some buddies at my last job built about 8 ARs with various NiB and nitride BCGs we found on sale here and there. The cheapest were around $100 and the most expensive was just over $200. We didn't run 10K rounds and we aren't what you'd call operators by any stretch, but we shot them a LOT and compared notes a lot. The consensus in our small group was the NiB, but we suspected the nitride would hold up longer even though none of us are close to wearing anything out yet. For my personal use and taste, I wouldn't give you a nickel for the difference I saw between the cheapest black nitride BCG from AIM and the most expensive nitride bolt in the group. However, you could tell the cheapest NiB (from AIM) from the good ones.

Is reloading not worth it on the common pistol cartridges?
BigK replied to NeveSSL's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
Any time I spend reloading is time I'm not wasting on YouTube, Amazon, or sitting on the couch watching TV. I don't ever ask how much that time is worth to me. -
Customer gets into open carry dispute
BigK replied to NextExit's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Personally, I would have shown my permit and then as politely as humanly possible explained to the cop that I know he has a job to do and it's not an easy one, BUT I was not breaking any laws and that being forced to show him "my papers" to keep from getting arrested is unconstitutional. I would not have filmed it unless I was trying to be an azzhat and cause trouble. -
I like the Lee Hand Press too...just wish it could be operated with one hand.
-
Like I said, never heard of a hand deprimer until this thread. Googled and found this one. Looks promising and it doesn't require collets. http://harveydeprimer.com/

I've used a universal decapping die that doesn't sized the brass, but it's in a bench press. I'd be interested in a hand-held model and didn't even know they existed. Cool idea.

Jeez, you ain't kidding! I got 4 spam emails within 5 minutes of hitting the damn submit button.

I tried something different with my Perry suspenders today. I wore the front hooks around the side like trucker style suspenders. It was so comfy that I ordered a pair of these suspenders online.

I wore a pair of perry suspenders just like these ones between a white tshirt and whatever other shirt I was wearing for a while. It was quite comfy and handy not to have to tighten my belt so tight. Don't know why I quit wearing them. I think I'll wear them to work tomorrow. I'll let you know how it goes.

I'm with you...great show, love it. Can't wait to see what happens with Carl.

Actually, I have watched it twice. I got a screener copy that somehow got leaked.

I watched it twice now and read the book...both are awesome.

I wondered the same thing back when I first got into CZ pistols. At that time I didn't even know NATO had a 124 gr standard for 9mm, let alone that it mattered. I just knew that the test targets say they used S&B ammo and the only S&B ammo I could find was 115 gr, so that's what I shot. It wasn't until I started reloading that I did any actual research. There are dozens of threads on the CZ forum about reloading 9mm specifically for CZs and they seem to agree that 124 gr is the best bullet weight. The weight isn't the only thing that matters though. I read that the rifling in the CZ barrels begin closer to the chamber than with many others, so OAL or the ogive matter a lot. Longer and/or fatter bullets will throw off your accuracy and increase pressure because the bullet sometimes touches the rifling when chambered and has no room to get moving before it starts spinning.

Help finding T.C.A. code about selling wild meat.

Yep, farming deer is a thing. I think the first time it was tried things did't go as planned though: http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/9293-roping-a-deer/?hl=%2Broping+%2Bdeer -
The Hi-Viz are very easy to see and feature very bright light pipes. LPA makes some good ones too, but they're a lot more spendy; http://www.midwayusa.com/product/240352/lpa-ttf-adjustable-sight-set-cz-75-85-steel-fiber-optic

Careful, there...I may take you up on that, LOL.

One of the best custom CZs money can buy, IMHO. I'd love to meet the shooter that is more accurate than this gun is capable of demonstrating. You definitely have a winner.

Don't get me wrong, I love the Saiga, but it's the awkward sporterized version. The only part of the conversion I don't feel confident about is drilling/tapping the bullet guide, but I guess I could keep using Saiga mags until I man up and install the guide.
