yessir, we do...I was telling musicman after we left that I swear I know you from somewhere

Don't go to AR15.com for ANY advice of ANY kind about your rifle.

I grew up hunting and fishing and my dad taught me to respect nature and obey the rules. These 2 punks have no respect for either and I feel their punishment was no where close to adequate for what they did. Banning them from hunting for life is no punishment, they've already shown they'll kill 40 deer when they want without regard to the law. A measly $5000 fine each isn't enough either. </rant>

I look at these people the same as looked at the people who stayed in New Orleans with a hurricane headed their way....STUPID!!!

I love a good zombie thread. I cringe at every wobble and especially at 1:30 everytime I watch this. I like this one too, the camera work sucks but the music is cool...plus there a cool segment of POV footage around 1:25.

I totally agree about "To each his own." I've had a Glock 34, but traded it for a CZ SP-01. Later I had a Glock17 and traded it for a CZ Phantom. Then I had a 1911, but traded it for a CZ PCR. See a pattern? I keep trying other guns and going back to what I like the best.

LOL, yeah, right. at this price, I won't be ordering more than one at a time that's for sure!

Thanks!!!! I didn't bother looking yet, since they didn't offer them in the TFO line...this is OUTSTANDING news!

I got a wet tumbler from HF in the mail yesterday. I tumbled a decent size batch of brass with stainless steel media last night. It worked flawlessly.

EXCELLENT question to ask. Anyone who doesn't seriously consider this is asking for trouble, IMHO. As one who also switches a lot, I feel 100% sure I can draw and fire any of the handguns in my rotation. It helps that I avoid buying guns with manual safeties and would never even consider carrying any of mine that do have a manual safety. Also, I practice drawing whichever one I'm carrying several times before I leave the house, so I don't get caught off guard. I wonder how many people would get fouled up by something as simple as changing from an unbuttoned cover garment to a pullover to a zip-up jacket. Switching from OWB to IWB or pocket carry seems more risky to me than switching from one gun to another when the carry method stays the same.

...and don't forget, restrictions on vehicles strong enough to pull down bars..no one needs assault vehicles

I have TFOs on my XD-s and had them on 2 other previous guns. They are hands down my favorite handgun sights. If they made them for CZs, I'd buy a set for all 7 or 8 of my CZs.

took me a while to learn to use them right, they are very slow to swing, but if you make contact they sure do sizzle love catching one from underneath and hearing them pop when they fall onto the contact area

I bought a HF belt/disk sander about 4 years ago, the motor died, they replaced it on the spot - no hassles whatsoever, and it's been working well since (been thru 2 belts and 3 discs already - zero issues). I also got a HF drill press several years back, it's worked like an absolute champ - I don't even have the tiniest of complaints about it and I use this thing a LOT!. I have a bunch of HF attachments for my Dremel and my Sonicrafter - they're half the cost of the name brand attachments but last well over half as long, which is all I should expect. The only thing I've gotten from HF so far that wasn't worth the price was a set of clamps with plastic handles that you squeeze. They couldn't tighten as much as I needed them to and one finally broke when I squeezed too hard.

One of my favorite all-time scenes in any movie: Luke: I can eat fifty eggs. Dragline: Nobody can eat fifty eggs. Society Red: You just said he could eat anything. Dragline: Did you ever eat fifty eggs? Luke: Nobody ever eat fifty eggs. Prisoner: Hey, Babalugats. We got a bet here. Dragline: My boy says he can eat fifty eggs, he can eat fifty eggs.

This made me laugh hard enough to get a stitch in my side. I've grabbed a delicious handful of M&Ms and made that face when I realized they were f***king Skittles! Not that I don't like Skittles...just gotta get my mind right for them.

IMO, the 4 must have additions for an xl650 are 1) strong mounts - just get them, you won't regret it,they're that good the extra 6" saves you much pain for the back and the mounts for the tools and finished round bins are a big improvement 2) automatic case feeder - it'd be worth it at twice the price, but don't tell Dillon that 3) adding lights to illuminate the shellplate - huge safety improvemen! 4) get the Ergo roller lever by Inline Fabrication - the roller handle Dillon sells is barely an upgrade in comparison, I'd almost rather keep the ball handle There's also a few tweaks that help too, just gotta search around. The ones I found most helpful: Use a zip tie to hold the primer feed arm back when adjusting dies to prevent filling up the primer chute Put some tape around the sides of that chute and around the spent prmer cup to keep them from falling out onto the floor Use a rifle round to pin the case feed arm open to interrupt the case feeder when adjusting dies Keep the shellplate clean too. I have gummed up my primer feed system more than once by not keeping my shellplate clean.

that's freakin' awesome

Now, if I can only find a way to rig a bayonet on my LCP to replace the nunchucks...
-
On a whim I took the nunchuck pinata getup with me to the range last night. I didn't have to fight anyone off me, nobody was returning fire, and drawing from concealment was not allowed. Otherwise, the ability to shoot wasn't hampered in any way. :D I did get a REALLY funny look from musicman when he saw it/tried it out. I don't think he was a big fan either, LOL. I'm carrying with the holster sans tether today and while it's comfy and 100% unnoticeable, I still don't dig the idea of strong side mag changes...not that dangling mags are any better, mind you...just saying.
-
This is an item on my bucket list. Congratulations
-
Great input, guys...thanks. There's not much left I can do as a proof of concept. You all make valid points. Funny thing...the holster is only worthwhile to me if the tether is viable. Otherwise, I wasted a few hours and have more fodder for the black hole box 'o holsters.I'll never carry a holster/mag holder combo.
-
Thanks for the input. I see what you mean about it being more difficult to grab and orient the spare mag.
-
Nothing says drive fast and don't stop for anything like driving through majestic settings such as Memphis and Arkansas. LOL

I don't think strongside mag holders are a smart idea, so by default I also don't think holsters with a built-in mag holder are a smart idea either. However, I saw a pic once in which a guy linked his spare mag to the mag in his pistol like this. I wanted to try out the idea with an IWB hybrid style holster, since that's my favorite. I am still kind of skeptical about the setup, but I had the time to spare. This is what I came up with over the past 2 evenings. My own knee-jerk reaction is that it looks crazy and unsafe. I assumed the tether would get tangled or snagged on something., but I practiced the draw a LOT last night. So far, it never snagged on me a single time. I tuck the paracord behind the holster, so it can't get tangled. Clearing my shirt enough to draw the pistol as usual also clears the mag to come free. The spare mag is so light and the string is so short that you can't really tell it's there when you aim. Obviously I'm not going to carry out in the wild with this rig until I feel 100% sure about it. Assuming nothing changes and the mag deploys correctly 10 time out of 10 like it's doing now and the tether isn't long enough to get stuck on anything, what other issues do you guys see that I might be missing?
