I'm a big fan of dash cams as well. I run an AKASO DL12 that I picked up pretty cheap on Amazon. I did a lot of product testing for them over the years and one of the products they sent me to test was the previous generation of dash cams. It was so good that I upgraded on my dime when the next gen came out because it has gps and records my speed. Since I don't drive fast, I thought that'd be a bonus if I ever needed to prove I wasn't speeding. I have some decent offroad footage from the front-facing camera, but haven't needed it for a wreck thank God. It's setup to record 5 minute files until the card is full then overwrites the oldest. You can watch directly on the rearview screen too, which I like. It also has a rear-facing camera that I use as a video rearview mirror because my Jeep tire blocks my mirror. I'd buy this one again in second if anything happened to it.

nvm, may be misinterpreted as a political comment

What is preferred 1) starting a new thread about an existing topic or 2) resurrecting an old thread? Seems like half prefer one and half prefer another.

If funeral goers had to take a shot every time that woman says something stupid or starts cackling, there'd be more drunks than an Irish wake.

I've ridden the one closest to the door way more times than I care to admit, LOL Once my grandson was old enough to reach the rear footpegs, he liked riding so much that I finally sold the 2 I didn't ride much (KLR 650 and NC700X) and kept the one he fit on with me the best (Super Tenere). My wife got so jealous of us riding that she took the MSF and got herself a Vespa to join us on short local rides.

No, just really bad metal, too rough and porous to get a layer of seasoning on them. For the price, it's not worth the hours of sanding.

I have a drawer full of yard sale cast iron. I haven't gotten lucky yet. They've all turned out to be unfit to cook on LOL.

If I tickle my grandson while asking him to be still, he will not comply with my verbal commands no matter how many times I demand him to do so. So, how on God's green Earth could anyone expect a grown man to put his hands behind his back while he's being punched and kicked. EVERYONE will involuntarily guard their torso/face instead of exposing themselves to further pain. Saying Tyre Nichols would still be alive if he hadn't resisted isn't accurate in this case anyway, these cops intended to beat his @$$ from the beginning.

The people I know that usually defend LEO at costs are silent on this one. I pray that's because there's nothing defensible about this case instead of because the cops weren't white this time. The conversation in the aftermath did sound more like a bunch of street thugs than cops to me though. I saw zero professional law enforcement training displayed in this case, just a group of bullies trying to hurt a guy half their size.

I'm all jacked up on Mountain Dew. I wonder if I'm covered.

Jerry Clower used to say Memphis won the Cleanest City in America award because a train named the Panama Limited used to drive through so fast that it sucked all the trash right out of town. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uzovL3-dHPU

He took that cat with a bow! I wouldn't want anything less than a tactical nuke if that thing was on the same trail as me.

@willis68 Have you tried out the Arkfeld? I think I might like the form factor, but I'm on the fence about spending that much and maybe not liking it. I have bought around 8 or 9 Olights, so I'm trying to exercise some restraint now. LOL

Baldwin shoots two on movie set, accidental misfire???

Wow, that video is INCREDIBLE! That is one talented lawyer right there. -
I built all of mine, so all they know is that I bought a lower, but I've lucked up and bought most of my lowers 2nd hand, so only 1 or 2 have a 4473. If I bought a complete AR pistol w/ brace, I fully believe the ATF keeps those records, effectively creating a registry like you said.

Yes sir, it has been around 14-16 yrs.

Please don't laugh at me, but last time I bought 9x18 MAK was from Outpost Armory outside Murfreesboro, TN and they had JUST gone up from $6.99/box to $7.99/box and I was all butthurt that I paid almost 16¢/rd. I went home and started trimming Luger brass to reload my own. I'm such a cheapskate, LOL.

Nashville Armory has new policy of collecting customer ID Info
BigK replied to Bayo's topic in General Chat
What kind of fraud threat does a customer paying cash for a magazine pose that name/number/photo ID will mitigate? -
Looks great; holster wear = character marks. LOL I love the ambi-safety, but mine was gritty at first. Your rifling looks WAY better than mine does. That should make for a great shooter. When I went to pick mine up from being cerakoted, the guy behind the counter said I was crazy for refinishing a gun w/ the rifling all blown out. Apparently he'd never seen polygonal rifling. If you find a source for cheap 9x18, please share it. Happy shooting

"Free" SBR registration means they don't care about the money and they don't want them to be illegal, so they must just want us to register them so they know who owns all the guns. That scares me way worse than the penalty for not registering.

I'm probably crazy to put this much into a $190 gun, but it has 2-tone Cerakote frame/receiver, buffed hammer/sear, rubber mag base pads, red wattle grips from Hungary, and all new pins/springs.

I have them in a few places as well. My favorite is the dashboard of my Jeep which is way more comfy on long drives than my pocket or hip.
