  1. I also have no clue what the rest of the world does with their crazies. However, looking at their gun policies, tax rates, socialist tendencies, and economic trends, I can't say I'd be willing to model anything after how they do things. I'm still curious too though.
  2. Not to discount any of those points, but we're devolving as a society. The more we resemble a Godless society that doesn't effectively deter crime, can't disagree without hate, and actively dismantles families by punishing the married poor and incentivizing single motherhood, the worse it's going to get.
  3. PM sent
  4. You do realize governors only sign laws and veto laws, right? Has he vetoed a bill that would arm school teachers that I'm not aware of? He's not the scapegoat for this school shooting. Furthermore, when did he publicly say that he is no longer for arming school teachers? The timing and accuracy of your claims are tacky and inappropriate in my opinion.
  5. I'm vehemently against red flag laws altogether because of due process. However, keeping crazies from buying guns is something I'm not so opposed to. I don't know the perfect formula for achieving that, but I hope it happens in a way that it could have prevented people like this nutjob from buying guns.
  6. I'm not opposed to a method for medical professionals to report patients they feel present a danger to themselves or others, but I am opposed depriving someone of due process as a result. If that report temporarily flags them for TICS that's less egregious until the flag is cleared, I'm fine with it. I'm not fine with showing up to take someone into custody and seizing their private property until they can prove themselves innocent.
  7. Lacking enough information to assume there was a disparity of force between the shoplifter and the employee, I'd assume the punch doesn't warrant the use of deadly force.
  8. I couldn't possibly agree with you more, especially that we should not abandon hope, even in this time of grief.
  9. True and still others let no tragedy go to waste before they start sending mass emails blaming Governor Lee for impacting school safety.
  10. I'd argue that anyone who shoots innocent children has to be mentally ill, right?
  11. They (MNPD) just confirmed live that the shooter, Audrey Hale is a 28 yr old transgender and was a former student. Also, the shooter shot out glass to gain entry...the door was NOT unlocked.
  12. How do letting perverts near our kids and exposing kids to porn in the school library have any bearing on this conversation?
  13. I'm very proud of MNPD's response time and selflessness to rush toward the gunfire to save lives. I'm so glad more lives weren't lost thanks to their bravery and quick actions.
  14. Prayers for peace, comfort, and loss
  15. so darn true
  16. Very neat!! GLWS
  17. A few years ago, we lost our whole house due to a fire. We were in a rental for about a year and it sucked. So, I'm really glad this story wasn't worse for you and thank the Lord nobody got hurt.
  18. I see that same trend in what my company pays/approves in claims too. Telehealth is a blessing and it helps a LOT, but it cannot possibly grow fast enough to make up for the shortage of therapists, counselors, and psychiatrists that you mentioned. By the time someone decides on their own or is coaxed by someone else to finally seek help, waiting another 3-6 months for a first appointment makes people less likely to get help too. I'm also seeing alcoholism be easier to hide as vast sections of the workforce are still working from home. Imagine having to be sober enough to make it to/from work and collaborate all day before going home to tie one on. Then suddenly you don't have to be fully sober at all anymore to keep your job.
  19. I respectfully disagree. Based on my experience, I see more of what @Chucktshoes points out. I feel American society is more accommodating toward mental disorders than ever before. I also see the problem growing as it is becoming more normalized. Maybe "sucking it up" isn't the answer, but whatever is causing it to grow so fast also isn't the answer.
  20. TGO is the ONLY way I'd arrange to meet a stranger to buy or sell a gun. If there's not a lot of witnesses, I get leery when I see trash in the parking lot, oil stains at EVERY parking spot, and if the MSRP on all the cars looks lower than average.
  21. The difficulty seating a mag aside, that is one sweet shooting handgun. It's WAY WAY more comfy to shoot than my compact P365 is. That longer grip will help a lot with consistency and accuracy since the trigger guard won't be digging into your middle finger so badly. The difference in felt recoil is much better due to a full paw on the grip too. One of the things the Europeans do that I don't like is they seem to put oversized trigger guards on everything. I get it, they think we all live in the Alps and wear ski gloves when we shoot, but I think I've worn a glove one time in my whole life for maybe one mag. It wasn't for me. I'd rather have the grip space back. I ain't gonna lie, I liked shooting your P-01 better, but I'm always gonna be partial to a good SA/DA trigger. Made me wish I'd brought my P-01 instead of my P365. LOL
  22. Careful torquing that screw down. I know this one guy that broke a hex wrench off into his CZ Scorpion recently. I'm sure you're smarter than him though.
  23. I use my credit card instead of my debit card every chance I get. If I had my way I'd never use my debit card. IMHO, it's way better to cancel my credit card and get a refund for those charges than for a thief to drain my checking account and me have to wait for that to be reversed.

Anybody else like chopped up onions in their cornbread?
  25. At that speed, even if the miracle gloves actually work, that'll be the only part of you still working.
