  1. I was already about to pour a glass of milk. What a let down.
  2. How much ya wanna bet the dog doesn't know a single other song anyone EVER heard of?
  3. You nailed the part that keeps sticking in my head: I can carry a sharpening stone anywhere and the places I'd need to sharpen my knife the most won't have electricity. LOL
  4. I'm in the same boat, kind of. My instincts tell me traditional wet stones and practice would give me the best results. However, I know I lack patience, so I tried Smith's first and didn't like clamping the blade. Then I tried the Spiderco and got really good results, but it's still not as easy or flexible. Now I'm using the Work Sharp and I gotta say it fits me and my severely lacking level of patience and determination. LOL One thing I noticed most is that my older cheap knives had steels like 8Cr13MoV and AUS8 that sharpened easy/fast. Some of my newer/better knifes with steel like 154CM and SV30 still take longer even with the electric belt driven Work Sharp. Sharpening knives the lazy/easy way gives me a great deal of respect for the guys with the skill to do it by hand. If money were no object, I'd get a Wicked Edge system though. Somebody on here got one and really convinced me it's likely the best sharpening system I've heard of.
  5. Dang, wish you weren't so far away. I'd love to give that to my sister for her upcoming birthday, so she'd keep her mitts off mine.
  6. SOLD - 740 rounds of Golden Tiger FMJBT steel case, lead core (40.5 ¢/rd). It's also pretty good ammo and has a good reputation.
  7. sold, moving ammo to another thread
  8. I love ultrasonic cleaners, they are awesome. Good price on that one too. GLWS
  9. Hard pass, I'll take the scenic route
  10. yeah, that's definitely not how civilized folks do business
  11. rifle and most of the ammo sold pending meet-up The Golden TIger ammo is still available for now.
  12. I thought an 18-20 yr old could own a handgun given to them by a family member, but they couldn't buy one. I did not know that only pertained to FFL transactions.
  13. so true
  14. That is an epic ride!! I didn't even put that many miles on my bike in the past 2 years. You are the man!!
  15. That is one fantastic pistol...first one I ever bought. That bull barrel is the best one they make, IMHO. GLWS
  16. I have that same pistol in a different color. Just curious if you had any trouble sighting in that RDS? Mine shoots 2" high at 50 ft and it's adjusted all the way plus it has a shim under too.
  17. I'm guilty of using inferior driver bits and mediocre hex tools, but I do own what I'd consider a good set of punches. Grace-USA makes them. They're the same folks that make those wood handled screwdrivers w/ the silver sleeve on the shaft that I bet we all saw in our dad's or grandpa's tool box growing up. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007WADKN0/
  18. Reckon that RM43 would kill poison ivy and Virginia creeper?
  19. I like those base plates for the mags. I keep forgetting to look them up online, thanks for reminding me.
  20. I'd bet that someone already on their staff has a HS kid that could could create a better website than their current one. The reason it frustrates me so much is because of how many of us want to join, but are having trouble doing so because of their site. Imagine the impact they could have with more money and more members if not for the site.
  21. I need some room in the safe, so I have this Izmash Saiga 7.62 X 39 for sell (just kidding @Handsome Rob ) for sale. It comes with 3 factory 10 round mags and 3 aftermarket 25 round mags. The original factory stock and forend come with it along with a side mount for optics. Looking to get $1050, but I'd entertain reasonable offers. I also have some 7.62 X39 I wouldn't be needing anymore: 320 rounds of Yugo M67 brass/lead on 10 rd stripper clips exactly like what you see in this link. If you aren't familiar, it's among the best surplus ammo and it's non-magnetic $130 I'd throw in 64 rounds of Tula 7.62 X 39 and bundle the ammo and gun together for $1350. Buyer must be legally eligible to buy/possess firearms and be willing to show TN DL to prove residency.
  22. I noticed there's a few other motorcyclists here. I'm selling my Garmin 590 LM (lifetime maps) with a Touratech locking mount, the good Garmin cradle w/ remote USB, and RAM mounting hardware are included. I bought this new from GPS City and it's been great, but I don't use it much anymore. The screen has some dust specks in the pics, but it's absolutely scratch free and in great shape. With the RAM security knob and the Touratech locking mount, you can leave it attached w/out fear of somebody snatching it and running. In case you aren't familiar with the Zumo lineup, they are 100% waterproof and dustproof and you can upload tracks from the internet and download where you've been. I paid nearly $900 for the whole setup, but I think $200 is a fair price used. Garmin 590 LM w/ protective case and original USB cable Touratech Locking mount with Garmin 590 LM cradle and RAM ball installed RAM metal short arm with security knob instead of thumb knob
