  1. Last weekend Walmart in Antioch had 100 count boxes of WWB .380 in stock for $31, but they were flat nosed. My Bersa will eat anything, so I got 2 boxes. As a measuring stick...the same store had 100 ct box of WWB 9 mm (not flat nosed) for $25. I didn't think I'd ever see 6 cent diference per round b/w .380 and 9mm again.
  2. For the love of all that is Holy, no! Not a Taurus pocket pistol! Just kidding, yours may be fine, but I had the TCP and it was a nightmare. I hope you have better luck.
  3. I like going in Outpost even if I'm just looking around, which my wife calls "pre-shopping", since she knows I'll find something I have to have w/in 4 months or so. They also have a huge holster selection and it's easy to "try one on" there.
  4. .22 LR .32 ACP .380 ACP 9mm X 18 mm Makarov (my favorite) 9 mm
  5. At the range I like to load my 14 round mags with 12, 13, or 14, instead of always 14. That way I get to the end of a mag I unexpectedly, since I can't help counting shots. I give myself a big pat on the back when I hold steady on that last squeeze and I flog myself mercilessly if I dive or flinch and it don't go boom.
  6. I believe most candidates are in the a$5-kissing phase of their campaign now. It's good to be the ones whose a$5 is being kissed instead of kicked for a change.

    CZ Question

I know a lot of folks like that. I show them how and they do it their own way...then they have the gall to whine when they can't get 3 in a row on paper at 10 yds.
  8. I have nothing against tattoos either, but all of mine can all be covered up too. The thing that amazes me is that tattoos and piercings are NOT cheap. This freak has enough ink, metal, implants and scars on him to make a LOT of my mortgage pmts, so he must be making money doing something, right?

    CZ Question

I'm a undeniably a bigger fan of CZs than S&W, but I still came real close to getting a M&P 9 instead of the P-01. As someone else already explained, the P-01 (9mm) is funtionally identical to the P-06 (.40 S&W). The deciding factors for me were metal vs plastic and the CZ has superb ergonomics. The reasons it was a tough decision is that the S&W is also a very good gun with interchangeable backstraps to make it fit your hand size and he'll have a lot easier time finding mags, holsters, etc. for it. I think I still made the right call, but I'd be glad to own a M&P too.
  10. Glad I'm not the only one who thinks about it. BTW...I like the "shooting fast as a semi-auto simply demands sometimes" comment. My M&P 15-22 has 25 round mags for a reason, LOL...
  11. You guys are a riot. I needed a good laugh before bed, thanks.

    Ruger LCR - .357!!

I've been thinking about getting a S&W .357 Mag Airlite, but it's so high ($800+). In .38 the LCR is usually about $200 less than a S&W, so this LCR may be my answer. thanks for the info.
  13. I got some mediocre ammo (CCI Mini Mags) for sighting my scope in last week. After I got it dialed in pretty good, I only got to shoot about 50 rounds. My 16 yr old just loves it, so I let him have most of the fun this time. He must have shot up 350 rounds of Federal bulk ammo w/o a single issue. What worries me about the cheap crap is squibs. QC is so bad, I can't believe it hasn't happened yet. That's why blasting away scares me. Am I being paranoid?

    Ain't. No. Way!

I'm sure she blames her mom and dad, like she didn't get enough hugs when she was growing up. Whack job!

    I finally broke down

Your Sig looks great with those grips. Congrats on the 1911 too.
  16. I had to be my wife to watch Sean of the Dead and she finally caved in. She even bought it on DVD. That made it easier to get her to try Zombieland, which she will undoubtedly buy now! She still won't "talk zombie survival tactics" with us, but it's a start. I told her, when they invade...we'll see who's the idiot and who's just being prepared.

    My bad, I stand corrected.

    Riddle Me This....

I'm pickin' up what you're layin' down, but it won't result in the same answer without getting as tricky as solving it outright. You have to proportionally increasing their rates of work to match the increase in the total job. Furthermore, you have to maintain the 4:3 ratio of their rates of work.

  20. I enjoyed reading this and if I'm ever in your neck of the woods, I'm looking for Vega's. In the meantime, I'm stuck with La Siesta.

A man gave his his wife a botomless container to put flesh and blood in. What did he give her?

    Riddle Me This....

what if the house had been 21 sq. ft. then....21/7 = 3 = wrong answer?
  23. I got one of them ugly things too. I agree...nothing can help it look pretty. I thought at least nothing can make it uglier, but then I put on one of those $15 flea market lasers that attach to the trigger guard. I was wrong...it gets uglier! Darn shame mine shoots so good or it would have been gone a long time ago.
  24. Yeah, but in all fairness...try buying an American flag that isn't made in China. I don't disagree, though...I'm just saying...too
  25. I'd hate to see Elly Mae, Jed, Granny, and Jethro die, but I'd go with the Cartwright sons and let pops sit this one out. Now, if Miss Hathaway and that monkey help...it would be a little closer. P.S. I love the show!
