  1. Amen, brother.
  2. I feel like lowering the hammer manually introduces more risk than not having a safety does, YMMV.

They're taking some liberties with the math, LOL. Maybe their inches have less than 25.4 mm in them.
  4. I've never shot 147gr or subsonic 9mm ammo. How does it perform?

I heard rumors of that too. I thought it was odd for them to go from .223 caliber to only .264 caliber. If they do, you won't hear me complain. That's much less competition for us for .223/5.56.

The only time I worry about 5.56 vs .223 is when I'm buying the rifle. A .223 rifle can't shoot 5.56 because it produces too much pressure, but a 5.56 rifle can shoot either. The hotter 5.56 round should have slightly more range and speed, but I wouldn't pay more for 5.56 for the amount of difference in performance. I've never missed a target because I was shooting .223 instead of 5.56. I can find .223 cheaper, so that's all I shoot.
  7. You already named my favorite one. I'm a big fan of the decocker too.
  8. He was already a legend and he's getting faster! WOW
  9. Apparently my wife of 29 years likes ugly guys with no money. I work hard to keep her smiling, because there's a ton of competition out there in that category.
  10. We had a dozens of trick or treaters. As usual my job is to hide in the garage with the dogs and play music to drown out the sound of intruders. My wife gets all the fun of handing out candy.
  11. The only thing that amazes me more than the plethora of disgusting things that are for sale is the plethora of disgusting customers doing the shopping. I find myself unable to muster up any sympathy for the buyers in this market. I only feel sorry for the wives who suffer the same consequences as their cheating husbands.
  12. Exactly! This fella was clearly several sammiches short of a picnic and no action was taken. The mental health system has to be held responsible when known crazies so stuff like Card did or what good is a law saying nuts can't have guns? If this part gets fixed, we'd have less certified whackos with guns. Then some form of a red flag law might actually help keep the crazies who won't get mental health from killing people if we give them due process BEFORE we take their guns.
  13. I'm rarely in favor of this, but I think everyone in authority who decided to let him go w/out taking steps probably share some level of responsibility for his actions. If there was a mechanism to link his crazy to his ownership/purchase of guns and it was not utilized, I think there should be some consequences.
  14. Do you remember the Beltway Snipers in 2002? That was a pretty darn scary scenario and they were only using an AR-15.
  15. What am I missing? Assuming initial reports are accurate and this guy was committed for 2 weeks this summer, why does he still own guns? If you're a guy who like shooting and in this guy's case, guns may be his livelihood, would you seek mental help if you thought they'd take your guns? Do you think he lied about violent tendencies and/or suicide when he was being treated in order to keep his guns?
  16. While that's sage advice, it's akin to telling a drowning man to learn to swim. Whether I'm thrashing around in water over my head or trying keep my pants up while toting a gun, I must first focus on the here and now, LOL.

  18. I tried getting in too, but no dice.
  19. gotcha, thanks...misunderstood
  20. I can't agree there. How is wanting to buy/sell guns evil vs just being against a statute?
  21. I hate the thought of a parent thinking they set it up right, but they didn't and it caused their kid to get their hands on a gun and kill himself way worse than thinking the device failed. That is really hard to imagine living with.
  22. I read 4 or 5 articles about this and they were all vague and fact free. So, I must be missing something. I wish I could find some answers. Do the biometric devices let anyone in until a valid fingerprint is registered? Did the owners fail to properly register their fingerprints allowing anyone to open the safe? Do the biometric devices when properly setup still let anyone in?
  23. I found some knockoff Upfitters on Amazon for real cheap. I'm gonna try them out this weekend.
  24. I agree with you that the average LEO doesn't want to arrest anyone JUST for this. I'm less worried about an overzealous cop pressing the issue than I am about an overzealous business owner (like Randy Rayburn) wanting to make a mountain out of a mole hill.
