  1. I wish my daughter always acted like I raised her, but she doesn't. Luckily, it's the small stuff, not the big stuff. She gets good grades, hasn't gotten pregnant, isn't doing drugs, and hasn't been caught hosting a threesome, so I count myself lucky. People are individuals and have their own sense of morality (or lack thereof) and their own degrees of self-control. I have 3 siblings that were raised under the same influence that I was, yet 2 of those 3 have struggled to do what they learned to be "right" most of the time. One will clearly never learn, but at least the other is finally seeing the light. Their actions are absolutely NOT a reflection on my parents and the values they tried to instill. I know b/c I have the same values my parents have and cannot see how they could make the decisions they've made.
  2. What can you do in a situation like that? Most dads might want to scare the crap out of the boys and maybe even kick their ass. The daughter deserves something too, but not this much. All-in-all, this dad did what many of us might want to do in that situation, if there were no consequences. At least now, we know what might happen, if we do.
  3. Respect must be earned. It is not given out of duty...that would be fear. Regardless, it cannot be a NON-political picture of a President doing his duty, b/c the White House released the photo for purely political reasons.
  4. I think the IQ of the electorate is what really needs to be questioned! He's at least smart enough to get a whole bunch of 'tards to vote for him.
  5. Think the ghost of James Brown was controlling his teleprompter?
  6. I'm not sure how often they have the classes, but he had them stacked pretty close together this spring and early summer. Right now he's out of town doing some advanced training of his own for the PD. At the last class I was at, IIRC, he said he'd be gone for 3 months. I'll shoot him an email and see if he responds...I'm ready to take another class too. I'll let you know what he says when I hear from him.
  7. Truly awesome to hear!! I LOVE ABs and can't believe you found a puppy so quick. When my wife got me mine, it took months to find one locally. I hope it work out and the new family member helps to ease your pain, bro.
  8. I liked Amanda. She was pretty cool. Too bad she sucks at shooting offhand with a rifle. My wife was actually looking forward to this season, b/c of Amanda (must be a "nurses stick together thing"). Now she's let down and won't watch anymore. Any way...I thought the team challenge was one of the better ones they've had. The elimination looked like it would be fun.
  9. I liked the last BG show, but it wasn't worth the money, especially since the RK show in M'boro is so much bigger/better. A/C or not, I'll keep going there from now on. I find way more deals I wish I hadn't passed on at RK.
  10. I've been wanting one of these bad boys ever since the Shot Show videos came out. They've made several improvements since then, including chokes. I'm anxious to see if they come up with a heat shield, b/c that tac rail looks like it'd be melted plastic in no time.
  11. I'm not a Mike Seeklander fan, but he kind of got screwed a little bit in the season 1 opener. Yeah, he missed the target, but they gave them a spotter for a reason...teamwork. I've shot with a spotter several times and without proper calls for adjustment you're screwed, because you have to focus on so much, including follow-thru that you can't also watch where your shots go. I think most rifle shooters could have done better, so he still shot like crap, just saying it wasn't 100% on him. I've seen him shoot waaaay better.
  12. I'm trying to talk my 15 yr old daughter into coming to the Zombie Match too.
  13. Me too! Love this show!
  14. I was advised by some experienced HBWC reloaders on another forum to I seat flush and roll crimp over the top. l followed this advice and I made 10 rounds with decreasing amounts of crimp. All were loaded with 2.7 gr of Bullseye and CCI primers using once-fired Remington brass. I fired these at 10 yard at an 8.5"X 11" sheet of paper. Some didn't even hit paper. Since they missed, I couldn't even tell where they went. I only bought a Lee 3-die set for my turret press instead of a 4-die set. I figured the roll crimp would be best, but now I'm wondering... Did I over/under crimp? At this distance I can get 2" groups with factory ammo. So, it's not me or my gun this time. I can pick up a factory taper crimp instead & go with a longer OAL (seated higher). Will this work? Will my brass last longer too?
  15. I went with the ones from MidwayUSA. They are good enough for now. I am having trouble getting the roll crimp right. They're cold swaged, so there's no crimp grooves. I'm loading them flush and having trouble with accuracy.
  16. Hearing this is an unpleasant reminder of the mortality of my own dogs. My family has an Old English Bulldog and an American Bulldog and they are our friends, "other kids", companions, and protectors. We provide for their every need, but get back 10X more from them in love and happiness. Both of ours are inside dogs and I worry constantly about them in the heat. I can only imagine your sense of loss. You have my deepest condolences.
  17. Depending on the extent of his injuries, the color of the gun may be more appropriate now.

    New Toy

the more I see these, the more I like them! Congrats...nice tool!
  19. Great match as usual. David & Brandon, who came with me, seemed to really enjoy it too. Too bad about the jewelry store, looked like it would've been fun.
  20. Darn it Caster, you were told..."What happens in Zombie Apocalypse club, stays in Zombie Apocalypse club."...you can't go giving away the secrets like that.
  21. She can oil my barrell any day.

    entitlement

You're darn right social security is an entitlement and it always was! Let me tell you a lil' story... Once upon a time, "Generation A" was poor & broke due to their own poor decisions, like electing crappy politicians. Facing hunger and homelessness, they did what they always did...make more bad decisions. They send representatives to Washington that enact legislation that will take money from Generation B and give it to their constituents in Generation A. Despite warnings about the direction they headed and the unsustainable scope of the system, they continue to elect representatives to change the rules, replace funds with IOU's, and get more people hooked on big government to bolster their numbers. Now that there are more folks riding in the wagon than there are pulling. Those of us pulling are finally sick of the system. The ones who are now riding, had ample time/warning to keep the wagon from crashing. Instead of recognizing there's a problem, they're now justifying our sweat by complaining that if getting hosed was good enough for them all those years, it's good enough for their kids and grand-kids too.

    decisions

Gen 4 grip is the only one I can get my paws around comfortably enough to shoot well. Otherwise, I don't see the hype about the differences.
  24. Thank you for your service and welcome aboard. Nice looking pea-shooter, ya got there, LOL. Did you find what you were looking for about Tactical Response?
  25. Hope yours hides this well...
