The show wasn't bad, but nothing spectacular either. DLM was the star of the show for me, since I needed bullets. I wish I'd needed primers too, you won't find a better deal anywhere. Another vendor had a great price on Glock 17 factory mags, so I bought all of them. That transaction alone paid for my admission and parking. I also got to drool all over a CZ 75 TS for the first time, wow! I had no idea how badly I needed one of them. I've also been wanting a Glock 36 for a while and finally got to fondle one. Glad I did, I didn't realize their grip was till too huge for my lil girly hands. Il enjoyed looking around, but if I suspect many won't think it was worth it.

It's been a while since I've been to a gun show. Sure, I'm in.

Judge Shuts Down Mega-Mosque Construction - Murfreesboro, TN

I've learned a lot reading this conversation. One parallel I found most interesting is the bit about 'where Christianity was when it was the same age as Islam is now'. I can't help but think that if Christians had the kind of bombs back then that radical Islam has today, we wouldnt' be having this conversation...there'd be no Muslims. Both sides had swords back then and both sides have bombs today. Ain't progress grand? One big difference I see is that Islam is out-breeding Christianity by leaps and bounds all over the world. By the time they outgrow the violence, they will be plentiful enough to achieve all their goals (whatever they are?). -
Now that's funny!

Good Morning Mayor Bloomberg, you putz.

That might be the first time I've ever agreed with Jon Stewart. -
Who makes the best Kool-Aid, really? I can only imagine how that would go around here over who's momma makes the best biscuits 'n gravy.

I feel your pain, Caster. I'm way better looking than I am rich too. My Lee primer flips SPPs, though like Mike's does. Ironically, I have a real cheap/crappy Smart Reloader hand primer that never flips anything and I got it free from a friend.

I'm not up to speed on NY's state constitution, but I'm sure the U.S. Constitution does NOT empower the gov't to decide what I can/cannot eat or drink, so it's a state's rights issue. I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if NY added it as an ammendment to their state constitution. You know...for their own good and all. I agree: stupid should have consequences...they elected this jacka$$, they deserve what they get -
Looks like an easy call IMO... With the Lyman kit, you're gonna buy some kind of priming tool and powder measure right off the bat and they'll cost WAY more than the $70 difference With the RCBS kit, you have a much better start, but you'll prolly want 49th ed. of the Lyman manual

I'm still torn here ...one side of my brain says OC is part of a set of rights that must be exercised to be kept, so tote 'em if ya got 'em ...the other side of my brain says OC the Brady activist types want more laws that cost us more rights, so don't scare the sheep

Not sure if it was a Hollywood spin or true, but the irony of how the 2 patriarchs' characters reversed is interesting.

Now you're talking! Just haul it all over here to Nashville. That sounds fair (it's kinda in the middle and all).

I wonder if they sift out more of the dust when it's for pets than they do when it's for reloaders. The bag I got is nice and course with sharp edges, just like you need. Hope it works for you.

Interesting...figured there must be some logic behind it, otherwise it wouldn't be such a widespread practice.

Good one, new to me...thanks

It's hard to find 40 people willing to review a product. It's even harder to find 40 that all agree how awesome something is. That lizzard litter may be the same stuff I use. I thought it was for bird cages, but not sure. I did get it from Petco. It's real cheap compared to reloading media and has little to no dust.

D&T Arms for sure. Forum supporters, locally owned, great folks, and reasonably priced.

Flitz is good stuff and comes highly recommended all over the place. I'd have tried it by now if I weren't such a cheapskate. I picked up some liquid car polish at the dollar store and some walnut bird cage filler at the pet store. I throw used dryer sheets in during tumbling too. It keeps the media from getting cruddy too fast.

I prefer the belt clips on the Crossbreed to the ones on this one or the Comp-Tac, but they are easily/quickly replaced.

I've been told that aside from primer pockets & flash holes, clean brass is mostly cosmetic. I can't tell a difference in the way they shoot, but I don't shoot long range rifle matches either. That being said, I'd recommend spending your money on better calipers and scales than on tumblers, media, and separators. For the record, I still tumble my brass. I'm just saying you can wait and get that stuff later.

My wife and I enjoyed the 1st episode. There's good guys and bad guys on both sides, so far. One side seems to clearly have more clout than the other. The other side seems to be a lot less ruthless One leader is clearly smarter and more calculating than the other. The other lost his marbles in the war and has less self-control.

I noticed that cops often seem to ask for ID even if they don't think you did something wrong. I get the impressions it's a stall tactic. They aren't technically detaining you, but with your ID in their hand it gives them time to assess a situation. You are still free to go, but wouldn't likely leave without your ID. So, it seems to me like a way to keep you from leaving without detaining you. In a way it's a smart tactic, but it seems to have become SOP. Maybe that's why it's not a bad idea to refuse, even if it would defuse a situation. If enough people refuse, they'll stop asking for your papers unless they have PC.

Who has the right to ask you if you are carrying?
BigK replied to sschrick's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
By being somewhere armed that is posted with a gun buster sign, you are unwanted and therefore trespassing. If you don't want to be somewhere you aren't invited, you don't go armed where it's prohibited. It's that simple. Just because you weren't found to be carrying illegally doesn't mean you are welcome or innocent.
