  1. Sadly, I don't see too many for sale at local gun stores. Great guns! I have had 9 over the years and only 1 came from a gun store. Are you looking for anything in particular or just to fondle and grope some awesome guns?
  2. Least it wasn't your right thumb Hope it heals well, man.
  3. I have nothing against a good beer or Irish Car Bomb. I just prefer to do so at home with friends instead of out. A Dos Equis with my burrito at a restaurant isn't worth disarming myself. Besides, I'm a cheap bastard anyway...I won't even order a Coke or Tea.
  4. The world could definitely use more people like Andy Griffith. I love the old shows from back when I was a kid.
  5. I think it's possible to be reach contentment without becoming complacent. Self-improvement and ambition don't have to be tossed out to be content with what you have "right now".
  6. I must not understand correctly. I use Google Shopping all the time. I find ammo, guns, gun parts, etc. all the time. Is this something they plan to implement in the future?
  7. A friend I went to HS with was a game warden for many, many years. He LOVED it! I agree, that would be an awesome job.
  8. When I got out of MTSU with a CIS degree 8 yrs ago, I thought I'd be an IT manager by now. Instead, I gravitated toward one area and couldn't be happier that I didn't go the other route. I love what I do and that makes a huge difference. The money being enough depends more on your lifestyle than your income. When I got out of school, I was making the same money I did managing restaurants for 15 years. The difference was I liked my job better, but increases in pay did come faster. I'd like to think that's mostly due to the enthusiasm that comes with loving what you do. Whatever you do, don't chase the money. You'll be miserable! Instead, do what makes you happy and save all the money you can. Besides, a dual-income couple making an average salary can live very comfortably and not have to worry about money.
  9. I hope you get it figured out. I know I enjoy my trips to the range more when I'm practicing instead of diagnosing issues. Have fun & shoot str8 --- I am here: http://tapatalk.com/map.php?fvjfa3
  10. Great point, peejman. I read somewhere (I think it was an AMU article) that these shooters wheels are only created to diagnose flaws during bullseye shooting (i.e. one handed). So, now that you got me thinking about it, they can't really tell you what you're doing wrong with your support hand, right? At best, the support had is probably mitigating some of the errors we're making with our shooting hand.
  11. The bottom half of workers in this country aren't paying any income taxes at all. Illegal aliens fit into this category of people. Legal immigrants, however, typically play fairly and aren't here to game the system. Like many of us, they are law-abiding, tax-paying, decent folks that deserve more privileges than the others. So, no those additional taxes/fees that are incidental to the purchase of a handgun and the class is not enough.
  12. I think that if you are legal, pay taxes, can pass the background check, and are able to pay for it...you ought to be able to get a permit to tote it!
  13. Well, Happy Birthday, dude. Homemade chicken tenders beat the hell out of McNuggets! I bet that batter would make a mean piece of cod!
  14. not so bad, I'll google my way to some supressor prices, thanks
  15. my bad, apparently that's the smallest, crappiest picture of a shooting wheel on the Internet and coincidentally the first one I found
  16. try this and note the bottom of the pic (lefties use mirror image) if you can't see that one well, use this link: http://pistol-training.com/archives/292
  17. How much skin does it take to get into this game? ballpark
  18. Damn JAB, that last pic of the pork loin almost made me lick my monitor.
  19. I heard the mag draw explained in some classes I've taken and books I've read. As long as you bring the fresh mag to the gun with your index finger along the front of the mag to help guide it in and add tactile input, you're doing it right. For vertical draw, that means bullets facing front, but with horizontal it depends on how you orient your hand when you draw it. If you draw it out overhanded, you want bullets up to align your finger properly. That's how I'd do it, but it might not be comfortable to you.
  20. We have that at work, I may give it a try too. If it almost tastes as good as real sugar, it's a win. The other stuff is horrible.
  21. I know exactly what you mean. It's hard to get a grip on the mag with so little of it sticking out. You could try stuffing a paper towel down in the Kydex holster to give the mag some lift. Leather may not work. I decided to make a couple of leather mag pouches for my Kel Tec to avoid this same issue. The problem I ran into was that getting enough of the mag sticking out for a good grip means too little is still in the pouch. Tightening the tension screw enough to overcome this means it's too hard to pull quickly/easily. I'm sure someone will come up a better answer.
  22. good stuff guys, I gotta get a chrony
  23. I'm more of a pistol guy than a rifle guy, but if anything is going to be "challenged" I'd agree it's mags or EBRs. So, I'd get the AR first too.
  24. very nice!
  25. A cammo paint job on a Corrolla does sound silly.
