1. That's how I loaded everything until my 9mm volume met the needs for a Dillon press. I think it's the most versatile setup out there.
2. Nice! I love mine. I had to pay MSRP due to my lack of patience, but I don't regret it.
3. I used to feel the same way, but the more I thought about it the more I came to realize it's another way to attack our freedoms. They are taking away enough of our rights without me voluntarily giving them up.
4. Welcome from La Vergne. I grew up in Shelbyville, CHS class of '88.
5. I tumble first then deprime/size my brass, because I quit cleaning primer pockets about 3 months into my reloading hobby. I've never been happier. In all fairness, I only reload pistol ammo for plinking. If I were reloading rifle rounds, I'd use my lonely universal depriming setup then tumble and clean pockets.
6. I wouldn't go that route either. For $20 more you can get this press and these dies and you'll be much happier until you can upgrade.   I've seen a handloader used and it's just for emergencies, IMO.

Just curious, how many rounds do you expect to put through it before you feel confident enough to bet your life on it?

Funny Stuff!

If everyone who's ever flipped someone off got 30 days in jail for it, I'd invest every penny I have in prison construction companies and retire early.   Still no saying she is in the right or doesn't deserve to learn a lesson...just saying the judge was being a bully.

Funny Stuff!

She's a ditz alright, but I can't help but wonder what kind of chip the judge has on his shoulder. Like strickj said, he was all jovial and light-hearted until she said "Adios". She seems dumb as a bag of hammers, but he kind of lead her to believe his proceedings were rather informal up to that point. No excuse for her actions after that, of course. I'm constantly telling my daughter, that it doesn't matter how mad you are at someone, if they have authority over you, it's best to bite your tongue. Otherwise you risk their anger, which has power behind it.
10. I read the other day that a DOJ study concluded that the average number of shots fired in a homicide was four. I'm pretty sure it was in the NRA articles they released debunking several myths about mag capacity, cop-killer bullets, etc.
11.   Back when I was getting started, you were the one that convinced me that the turret press was the way to go. I have been re-stating that advice ever since and am still convinced you were right.   I still use it every week for .45s, but upgraded to a Dillon for 9mm due to volume. Both presses are fun to use.
12. Thanks to an awesome fellow TGO member, half of the material is now spoken for.    Broomhead and a couple who PM'd/texted me have the rest spoken for.
13. Pretty cool, but what a waste of time. Says the guy sipping coffee, sitting in front of his iPad, surfing the web.
14. deleted
15. I'm copying the press I saw on another forum. It's very similar to the one Old Faithful Holsters sells, but with MUCH better hinges. I bought 3/4" MDF, ordered some heat resistant thermoform foam online, and plan to use clamps to hold it closed while cooling. It'll look a lot like a waffle iron when I'm done, only square. MMMM waffles.
16. Story of my life, whatever I need, it's always on the other side of the state, LOL. It's the standard 0.06" that costs $5-6 plus shipping just about everywhere I've looked.
17. I want to try working with some Kydex. It doesn't look too hard.   I don't want to pay for shipping or wait for it to be delivered. So, I found a local shop that sells it for over $1 cheaper per square foot and I can come pick it up. The catch is that I have to buy a 4' X 8' sheet. That's 32 square feet of Kydex, which will take me forever to use.    Anyone interested splitting this sheet of Kydex? I'd love to sell at least half of this sheet for $60. I just don't to end up arranging 16 meets for $4/sq ft.
18. Re-packing airbags is expensive! God only knows what else bubba tore up when he landed.   Lesson: just because you can doesn't mean you should.
19. First, you need at least 2 reloading manuals and a strong understanding of the material. They aren't just for looking up loads.   Then you'll need: Dies for each caliber (Lee is cheapest and works great) Scales (to weigh charges) Calipers (to measure crimp and overall length) A strong table that doesn't wobble (best if bolted to the wall) Powder measuring system (dippers work, but a powder measure would be better) A powder funnel     Since you're doing .223, you'll eventually need a trimmer as well.
20.   When my AB wants a treat, she'll come to me and whine, sit, lay down, rollover, offer a shake, and every other trick we've asked her to do. I think that's pretty smart to be proactive like that.   I'd be a mess without her.
21. I love seeing how much everyone loves their dogs. People who have never known that kind of love, have something missing inside and they don't even realize it. Here's my babies Lucy (American Bulldog), Barkley (Old English Bulldog), and Layla (Pit mix?):
22. Walnut has sharper edges, so I think it works much better. Both "can" get down in the primer pockets, if you deprime first, which I no longer do. Since I switched from corn cob to walnut, I don't see any down in the flash hole either.
23. I just tumble mine in crushed walnut bedding for pets with a little auto body polish added. I let them tumble til they shine, cause that's how I roll.
24. Best news I've heard all week!
25.   That's not hard to believe at all. These ammo companies will do anything to save a penny per box of ammo lately. What do they care if their brass sucks so bad that we can't use it for reloads.   Of the major brands, Remington seems to be the thinnest I've dealt with. S&B and Pvri seem like they're much thicker than most of the others.
