  1. As a C&R guy, I hope so. I like having multiple places to shop. I haven't been able to complete a single order with them in past, but SOG has been fast and easy every time. I guess I'll have to resubmit my license and give them another try.
  2.   Same here, nothing but problems with them. They've sold me stuff they said was in stock only to find out weeks later they were waiting for a shipment. I asked the same grumpy lady how they advertise graded firearms that they haven't received yet. All she said was blah blah blah high volume blah blah blah constantly rotating stock blah blah blah impossible to keep up to date blah blah blah.
  3. I worked nights and my wife worked days from the time my youngest was born until she started school. I ran all the errands, did the doctor visits, paid the bills, shopping, etc. with my lil princess in tow while my wife was at work. I got stopped by a complete stranger in Food Lion one day. He said, he sees me everywhere with that young 'en and she's always so well behaved and happy. Then he said, I must be a really good father. ...that was the proudest moment of my entire life and I will NEVER forget it.
  4. It's a trick question! Nobody with that much brass would use a single-stage press.

    Some toys

Awesome collection! I can't wait to get my hands on a KSG...if they ever make enough of them for them to get down to MY price range.
  6. He should have "Zombie Apocalypse MVP" tattooed on his chest!
  7. The best threads are always immortal
  8.   That's one of the WMDs that assaulted me at the office.   If you have good employees that meet deadlines and churn out high quality work, you gotta keep them happy. The little things like a top-knotch coffee service, air hockey, foosball, free Rockstar Energy drinks, and no PTO policy go a long way.
  9. I'll have to make a better counter weight, b/c this will only send a marble-sized plastic ball about 6 feet. At least it works.
  10. Yeah,I work in IT for an education software company. Great place to work (they're even HCP friendly). The Nerf Nerds will rue the day they darkened my portcullis.
  11. I was attacked last week at work, not once, but twice. I did nothing to provoke either assault...I was minding my own business. The first encounter happened on Tuesday, when I was headed back to my cubicle when I was shot twice with a USB powered missile laucher. The second attack ocurred on Friday. Two assailants with Nerf guns creeped up on me. One laid down suppressive fire from my right while his accomplice circled around and shot me. I wanted to put this in "Survival and Preparedness", but it's really only my pride that suffered. Nonetheless, I vowed to serve the cowards that waylayed me a dose of their own medicine. So, today I started building a jelly bean launching trebuchet. It may lack mobility and I may not have the same rate of fire as my attackers, but I plan to win the war with cool points instead of littering the office landscape with bodies. I think that will repair my wounded pride faster than bloodshed. I'll post pics as my project progresses.
  12. Minus a better forward lean, I'd say the brunette did pretty good. @NoBanStan, you better quit staying up so late watching hotties shoot shotties on the Internet or your own hottie will put the smack down on you, LOL.
  13. If some thug comes to rob me, he will be injected with an adequate dosage of lead to dispatch the threat to me an mine. I only hope that all my shots aren't into his back. That way I don't have to 'splain nuthin' to a DA/Jury or a civil court. It'll be clear what went down.
  14. I figured the full name would make it easier in case the OP might want to look it up online. It'd be an even better place if there were more rifle lanes.
  15. I've been wanting to do this for years. I'm a pistol guy, so some long gun shooting would be a fun new experience.
  16. Not to mention the recorded evidence of him shooting at fleeing suspects who no longer pose a threat. Luckily they were still inside the bldg when he fired.
  17. Welcome to the party from La Vergne. +1 for the TWRA range (Stones River Hunter Education Center) on Hobson Pike. Good deal at $5.50/trip or $101/year.
  18. I've only ever fooled with the small of the back and the hind legs. Dredge them in egg roll them in flour and pan fry. Cooked like that and served w/ fried eggs and biscuits is the only way I've ever had them. That dumplin recipe sounds fantastic, though.
  19. Not all teachers are flaming lib-tards, just like not all gun owners are beer-swilling rednecks or criminals. Like everything else, it's a matter of perspective. We don't hear many good stories, just the ones were somebody did something they shouldn't. One of my kids is grown and the other is in HS, so b/w the 2 of them they've had dozens of teachers over the years. I've only had issues with one or 2 of them. Admittedly, it was the same kind of issue the OP mentions. 1st day of school they made us come get my son's Star Wars backpack, b/c it had "weapons" (light sabers) depicted on it. I threw a fit, called them names...basically made an ass of myself for their stupid policy. Basically, I cemented in their minds exactly what kind of beer-swilling redneck I must be.
  20. I feel optimistic and I base it entirely on one premise: Greed will force manufacturers to ramp up production. They won't do it out of any kind of altruistic ideals. They won't do it because they love us. They won't do it because we've been loyal customers. They will do it to make money, period. Furthermore, they will only raise prices enough to recover their ramp-up costs, which will make them look kind. But in reality, they know this won't last forever and they don't wanna sit on all those extra machines or face the public scorn for laying off workers when "crazy" has past. ...and I don't blame them a bit.

No trick question. I was just curious how many rounds you have to put through a gun before you trust it enough to carry it .   I don't have a hard/fast rule for this myself. I've started carrying some guns after as few as 100 rounds in a single range trip. Yet, others I wouldn't trust my life to no matter how many rounds ago the last failure was.
  22. If I see black BATFE helicopters fly over La Vergne heading south to Shelbyville, I'll shoot you a PM. BTW...I grew up in Shelbyville (class of '88) Go Eagles!
  23. Hope your trip goes well.
  24. That is a good explanation from them.   With more ammo produced than last year, the question is "Where is all the ammo?". The answer is "Sitting in some hoarders' safes".
