What's the Chances of Tennessee Going Gunless?
BigK replied to gun sane's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Yep, the legislative equivalent of click-bait. -
I see more wheelchairs than you'd imagine every year at the NRA Convention. Most venues there is plenty of room to navigate. The worst was Louisville, no way I'd try to get around at that one with a wheelchair.

That is the best news I've heard since Sunday.

Is it Eternal Flame by the Bangles? -
I'm not so sure GA was a smart choice. Atlanta isn't far from being the NYC of GA that ruins the whole state because they out-vote the rest of the state's population.

It's true, that's how I broke my nose the 2nd time.

I've been on the fence about a smart watch since they came out. I love tech and I'm sure I'd enjoy the convenience. I'm just so rough on watches that I'm afraid I'll tear it up. Does the screen scratch easily?

I don't blame them for moving. I only wonder what the heck took them so long?

That looks like a lot of fun to shoot. GLWS -
That only works if you only plan to drive to the mall.

If you go to wranglerforum.com you'll find a lot of threads about death wobble. I've heard some say you can stop it with a beefier steering damper and some say it's worn links, joints, and bushings, like your track arm bushings and your control arm bushings. Regardless of which components are worn, the longer you wait to get it fixed, the more parts the death wobble starts destroying. It's a pretty violent shake and eventually you could have numerous parts to replace and they won't be able to tell what parts were wearing first. Here's the best video I've ever seen about death wobble: Last time I had something done to mine I went to True Blue Truck (used to be Essentially Offroad) halfway between M'boro and Smyrna. They did good work and were nice folks. https://truebluetruck.com/

Things the next generation simply won't understand
BigK replied to NoBanStan's topic in General Chat
Time actually are getting better though. I read the other day that only 11% of Americans smoke today. When I was a kid it was around 42%. My stepdad used to send me with a dollar to the store to buy him a pack of Kools and I got to keep the change which I almost always spent on a comic book. -
My wife's aunt recently died as a result of her drinking. She crawled into a bottle after her husband died 7 years ago and drank herself into the grave last month. She/I weren't close, but I hated seeing the gradual pain and loss her alcoholism caused my wife and mother-in-law. I feel your pain, brother.

I have the 45acp version, GREAT GUN! I always regretted not getting a 9mm too. If only you were closer

I'm blessed to work from home, so my commuting days are behind me. My 6 year old Jeep Wrangler JKU only has 42K miles as a result. Weather permitting I prefer 2 wheels as well. In fact, I put more miles on the old Vespa I picked up last summer than I put on my Jeep all year long. I bet my other bike (2012 Yamaha Super Tenere) thinks I don't love her anymore.

Call to action for 2nd Amendment supporters in Tennessee.

Every time I watch this video, I think of the old homestead where my Granny and Grandpa used to live.

The Double Filet o Fish is my go-to menu item at McD's. Ignorance is bliss, so I don't wanna know what goes in a McRib, but they're delicious.

I've tried a bunch of times to build a lightweight AR, but I have favorite parts/components that I won't live w/out. Then I see the prices on the pencil thin barrels that I don't even like. Then I realize if rifle is too light I'll want buy a really expensive trigger to compensate for the weight. By the time I'm done refusing those compromises I wind up at 8 or 9 pounds anyway, LOL. I think what puts me off from seeing the lightweight build through is that in an ultralight 5.5lb AR the polymer lower saves less than 10% in weight. Somewhere in between, like a 7lb rifle that weight savings is only 7% and I don't have a use-case that justifies the cost to save that much weight.

On the way home from church, I asked my wife reckon why there's so many cars parked at our neighbor's house. She told me it's the super bowl.

Blue Alert issued after one Maryville officer killed, another injured
BigK replied to Kano's topic in General Chat
Maybe I'm also an a-hole, but when I'm asleep in my bed, I am not going to wake up and join the search. Therefore I put my phone on DoNotDisturb on a schedule for 8 hours every night. I'm not offended by them in any way, but I sleep poorly enough as it is, so it can wait til morning. I don't need to add my phone to the list of things that wake me up from a sound sleep. I check the alerts right away the next morning and throughout the day to see if I need to be on the lookout or not though. -
He was part of an era that first turned me into a country music fan. I am a big fan and thought he was a heckuva good dude.

I see where you're coming from for sure, but we had to resort to looking outside our geographic area to find qualified candidates and we couldn't hire them based on Nashville wages and we had to fill the position...capitalism in perfect form.

I agree, but I have 4X the experience as him and can code circles around him, but he gets paid about the same as me because of the labor market where he lives.
