I wore a Crossbreed Supertuck for years until I recently switched carry guns. I've been too cheap to buy another Supertuck, so far. Plus, I think I'd enjoy trying to make my own. I was inpired by Crossbreed to try this: Before assembly, I lined the kydex with pigskin to reduce the wear on my gun's finish: It didn't turn out too bad and is quite comfy, so I'm gonna try the IWB next.

Cop pulls gun on person 'holding up' McDonald's line
BigK replied to a topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
He may be fired and go to jail. Do you think the incident should be investigated, or just throw him in jail on the word of the kid? Kind of stole my thunder, Dave. The officer may have done everything the article says he did, but the presumption of innocence applies until after the investigation is over. Now, if it turns out to all be true, sure, go back and take his pay too. Until then, he shouldn't be punished. -
I saw 5.56 at walmart in Smyrna, but they wanted $13/box for it and I won't pay that much.

I'd say throw him a beating, but... I saw my step-brother drag his wife across a bed by her hair once. Long-story-short...one thing led to another and he wound up getting punched in the eye. He immediately called 911. So, when the lil prick stole/pawned a couple of my dad's guns while he was in the hospital having bypass surgery, I knew an ass-whoopin' wouldn't fly. I just went down to the PD and reported them stolen. They found out who pawned them and he got picked up and released. The court hassle was enough to make me feel a lil better...not as much as giving him a beating would, but whatcha gonna do?

When you decide to move, you move quickly. I like your style.

If you found the SR1911 for $699 (that's 16% off MSRP) and the Sig for $899 (that's 20% off MSRP), I'd say both are good deals and you'd be happy with either. I have the SR1911, myself and absolutely love it. It's a HUGE step up from the cheaper 1911s and runs like a champ. I don't really have any complaints, but... For the $200 the Sig TME has all stainless controls instead of cheap MIM parts (safety, mag release, slide release, grip safety/beavertail), a checkered front strap, and adjustable rear sight. To upgrade those parts on the SR would be WAY more than the price difference. These may not be a big deal to you, though. I've also read that the Sig has a better fit/finish, shoots tighter groups, and has a lighter/crisper trigger.

A "friend" who'd pawn/sell your property, regardless of how desperate, is not a friend. I used to have "friends in need" too. I never heard from them until they needed something. A few polite refusals in a row and I never heard from them again.

While I agree that TapaTalk is buggy and has some design issues, it's the best thing going for mobile phones. It crashes about once a week on me when surfing threads. Otherwise, it sure is helpful when you wanna stay up-to-date on a tiny little phone screen.

You can always put a nancy-pad on it, if you have a tender shoulder, like Stan. LOL These are my favorite rifles to shoot. They are real cheap, historical, beautiful, reliable, and cost less to shoot than a 9mm. What's not to love?

What? Giant springs? I love giant springs! That's it, I'm buying it! ...I wish I bet some drug lord will buy it and turn it into a DEA-proof rave-around-the-clock party site.

This is outstanding news to me. I'm on the other side of the fence. I abhor cursive. It takes me twice as long to read stuff. We have a member here on TGO who posts using some squiggly cursive-like font...I've LITERALLY never read any of his comments, just because of the font.

My wife has trouble with stairs. She falls up them and she falls down them. We call her Aunt Bunny after Eddie Murphy's aunt, who he believed was a Sasquatch. Does that count?

I stop my daughter when she says "umm" more than once in a sentence. I tell her to stop and think, so her brain can catch up with her mouth. Aside from the lies and liberal blather, it's the worst part about listening to Barry O. speak.

I wrote this a while back, but it covers most of my grammatical pet peeves. If you are sensitive about these things too....DON'T READ THIS. If you just read that and "don't get it", you're who I'm talking about...

I degreased mine real good and used a Dremel with a rubber bit. It shines it up w/out taking off metal. It won't remove gouges/scratches, but it's shiny when done. I wouldn't be afraid to use a buffing wheel and metal polish either. I just started with the rubber bit to see what it'd do. -

I'm gonna drop one of T-53's in it. It's stock is beat all to $hi+ anyway. No way I'd put one of my good Russians in it. -

Not that these guys are the subject matter experts, but I got the impression that once it hardens it takes more than chemicals to remove. I run a 9mm bore snake w/ Hoppe's down mine as soon as I'm done shooting it (still hot) and mine is still sticks. http://62x54r.net/MosinID/MosinCleaning.htm scroll down to "sticky bolt syndrome" http://www.surplusrifle.com/shooting2005/eliminatesbs/index.asp -

I read that the reason most Mosins have a sticky bolt is the hardened cosmoline in the chamber. They recommend chucking a cleaning rod in drill, wrapping a few strands of Chore Boy copper pad around a 20 gauge bore mop soaked in Hoppe's and scrubbing it out real good. I'm gonna try that this weekend. -

Y'all are really gonna blast me hard when my Archangel stock w/ detachable mag comes in. I'll be sure to post pics so you have something to glare at menacingly. -

I see what you mean about the accuracy, except for the trigger job. That's bound to help the shooter shoot better. I still don't see any harm in making the bolt smoother and making them pretty. I like pretty guns better than ugly guns and I like bolt actions that cycle easy better than those that don't. Plus, he didn't put much money into these, just his labor. I have lots of hobbies that produce far less useful results. -
I'd go for a used Sport that old enough for you to get the Melonite 5r barrel w/ 1/8 twist, like the others said. . is my vote as well, so you can make sure you get
