1. Speaking of doing things old school. This outfit is pretty dang awesome too.
2.   I think you hit the nail right on the head, my friend. Civics and government are barely skimmed over in school these days. I don't think this is by accident, either. I believe we are rearing generations of voters who have no clue how/why this country was formed. There are those (mostly on the left) that want it that way...<oops, dropped my tinfoil hat>   Cartoons are available 24/7, so there's no Schoolhouse Rocks on Saturday morning to help either.
3.   Same thing happened to a LGS a year or 2 ago. The business was bashed pretty hard for something that legitimately happened. I knew the owner enough to know that it didn't reflect his business sense. Plus, he was out of the shop when it happened and likely didn't even know. So, I forwarded him the post and he came on here and made it right.   This door swings both ways. I think he earned a lot of respect for making it right and NOT making excuses and being defensive.   The owner at A-H couldn't have thought this out, right? Why risk this much bad rep over a couple hundred lousy bullets. In his case, the customer was right in front of him and he CHOSE to do the wrong thing.
4.   Considering the spineless governor we have, it'll have to be with a super-majority like Missouri has or Haslam will veto it.
5. No screws and no nails? That was some super duper badassery right there! Nothing but wedges, pins, and brilliance!
6. Did you have bologna and fish sticks? I always wanted a Wookie.
7. Awesome! I want one.
8. OK, I'll bite...what are you getting? Inquiring minds want to know.

My New SR1911

The only ammo mine wouldn't cycle were Berry's 185 gr SWC. Their SWC have an odd shape, though, so I don't blame the gun at all.
10. For CZ to make a compact sized .45
11. Whichever one you sell, you're gonna regret it. A year from now, you'll still be talking about 'that CZ you wish hadn't gotten rid of'.
12. The 75 is doubtless a classic, truly deserving its place on the list of the original Wonder Nines, ...but the P-01 was an instant classic, IMO. I would keep the compact, no question in my mind.
13. Welcome from just down the road in La Vergne
14. Bar none, the best pizza in Nashville is Joey's House of Pizza on Elm Hill Pike. It must be good, they are only open from 11-3 M-F and rain/snow/sleet/shine there is a fast-moving line nearly out the door EVERY day. Yet, I'm always in/out in under 45 minutes including sitting down to eat. There's another pretty good mom & pop shop in Smyrna called Salvo's Pizza. They make a mean pie too.
15. Wow, that is one fine looking pistol. I love that finish...all of the ones I've had were just plain black. They do amazing work, huh? They can do amazing things to the trigger on a CZ! And if you take the FPS out, it's even more amazing. You just have to put it back in for IDPA. I've been wanting a Pro-Tek for years, but can't bring myself to spend that much. But, if they ever make a compact .45 and CZ Custome turns one into a Pro-Tek, I don't care how much it costs, I'm getting one. BTW...never seen grips like those. What are they?
16. I have 3 CZs currently, a P-01, a CZ 75 Shadow, and a CZ 82. You're welcome to check them out when you have time. I bought one at Outpost Armory and one at Guns & Leather. I haven't been to G&L in a while, but I was just at OA a couple of weeks ago and they had 4 or 5 CZ, IIRC.
17. so, if I showed up with a EAA EZ9 w/ 4 factory mags, you wouldn't let me "borrow" that Springfield? :D
18. I can tell you really liked your EZ9, but gotta agree...worked out nicely. I'd make that deal. I'd still be pissed off, but you did well.
19. I hope the OP doesn't feel like that. When I was shopping for my first quality handgun, I had a list of what I thought I wanted too. Had I thought to get more suggestions, I'd have saved my self a lot of time, frustration, and wasted cash/ammo. I'm just saying, I think everyone is only trying to help. Who knows, the OP may try something he hadn't initially considered and find out it's his favorite too.
20. something about this story doesn't sound very believable...this guy actually knew what an impact wrench is?
21. Riding that course on a Honda Rebel would be Bucket List worthy! On a bada$$ streetbike it'd be Soul Selling List worthy.
22. Going strictly off your list, I'd go with the Sig, but I'm partial to hammers, decockers, and steel. That being said, I carry an XD-s because it's light and small and shoots the big bullets. Assuming your list is the starting point, you have a lot of other really good suggestions. I'm a CZ guy through and through. Try a CZ 75 if you like steel and a P-07 if you like plastic while you're there. Just make sure you shoot them last, so as not to spoil your experience with the others, LOL. If you dropped your whole budget on a CZ 75 Shadow (any format, they're all spectacular), you'll probably never get regret it. I didn't.
23.   It's a belt holster. I like them much more.   Check out their models 5187 and 5197. They are rock solid and IDPA legal.
24.   Whoa! I thought size didn't matter? This changes everything!
25.   I tried a Galco paddle first and hated it for IDPA. The Fobus belt holster worked well for a long time, but once I tried a Safariland, I was hooked.   A couple of other things: mags can only be loaded to 10 rounds and you cannot have more than 2 mags on your belt, IIRC. Good rule of thumb: equipment must be designed for concealment, not for quick draw/USPSA.
