I know this is a day or so late, but somebody explain how/why the air marshall was allowed to give hours of heresay testimony? Also, assuming the prosecution knew what GZ's bff would testify to, why on Earth would they call this witness? Was there a hidden "gotcha" in his tesimony that I missed?

  I don't know the details leading up this event, but from what I saw/heard in the video, I'd have to agree.   This isn't your typical thug getting popped while committing a crime. This guy was messed up in the head and needed help. I don't see any way around how it ended though.

A guy at work following this story more closely than me said he'd been trying to "get out of the gang, but they wouldn't let him". He apparently says he tried to buy his way out, but the gang wanted his time instead. Sounded like an invitation to his pity party to me.

I'm a cheapskate, so for my first holster belt I went with a $20 Uncle Mike's nylon rigger belt with the kydex insert. Since then, I've picked up 4 extra thick leather belts that are fantastic and I love them too, but I don't like how my holster creaks against them. So, I've still been rockin that same el cheapo UM belt 4 or 5 days a week for about 5 years. Once a year I clean out the hooks and loops in the velcro. It won't sag, due to the kydex stiffener, the double layers of stitched nylon don't stretch, and although I prefer leather it's the one I keep going with almost every day.

For a belt to be IDPA legal it must go through the belt loops of your pants.   So, strapping that belt to your inner belt with keepers, is NOT IDPA legal.   That's not to say that every club will call you on it when you go shoot, but it will be enforced in sanctioned matches. Thought you'd want to know that.

YESSSSSSSS! I got a text message from UPS saying my ammo will be delivered tomorrow b/w 2:45 and 6:45.   I wasn't sure whether to trust it, so I checked my order status at Cabela's. According to them my order shipped last night around 9:00 pm. It'b be damned impressive if it actually arrived Wednesday afternoon. That'd be less than 48 hours in the hands of UPS.

I think the defense is doing a much better job, so far. They've kept things factual and boring, which kills the emotional pull the state is going for. Based on what I heard, the state REALLY needed to prove what kind of mood Z was in that night. I don't think they did. In fact, I get the impression that he was rather calm and resigned, even when the "punks" and "always get away" part were stressed.

  LOL, me too, bro.   I am starting to get arthritis and stitching leaves my hands sore and cramped up for days. So, I went over to the dark side and started making/using hybrid holsters instead. All the fastening is done with eyelets and Chicago screws, leaving me pain-free, even after making a couple in one day. I still PREFER all leather, but whatcha gonna do?
