I'm definitely with you about the corruption of all kinds in this case from day one. The media tainted both the jury pool and the politicians. The politicians tried to railroad Z for a scapegoat, rigging the prosecution. The judge allowed the prosecution leeway that I've never seen/heard of and denied common sense evidence that would have helped the defense. Yet still, after all that, a hand selected jury listened to this rigged trial, sifted through the BS, found evidence/truth in the testimony, and rendered the right verdict. Maybe "restored faith" is a bit too strong, but I'm sure we agree this verdict is a thin silver lining at least.

Glad to see the jury got it right, weighing the evidence against law instead of falling for the emotional ploy. SOME of my faith in our legal system has been restored, but not enough to go back to calling it a justice system.

That is NOT what I was expecting to read about. How would you like to be the officer who had to disassemble the firearm? Good thing they snatched this up before she could hurt somebody. -
I don't want to play, if they're fast. I'm too fat, old, and out of shape for that shit. The only thing fun about the zombie apocalypse was supposed to be that for once, I'm faster than my counterpart. I think I'll just take up sloth hunting instead.

Man arrested for making gun gesture in TX theater

I've been known to put my LaserLyte Training Cartride in my P-01 and see if I can shoot every zombie in an episode. That would really make these movie-goers freak out. -
My first thoughts...'that's gotta be one of the worst ideas I've ever...ooh, that looks pretty damn cool" NICE!

Man arrested for making gun gesture in TX theater Who yelled "fire" in a crowded theater? The guy making the gun gesture at the screen? The person who yelled "he's got a gun"? -
The most stupid movie-firearms mistake i've ever seen.

ain't that the truth! One of my son's friends once asked me if I believed "curving a bullet like in that one movie with that hot chick and the black guy" was possible. -
Over at the CZFirearms.us forum there's a CZ 82/83 club that's worth checking out. I learned a lot about my CZ 82 from there...like what part(s) are no longer in production and where to find them while you can.

That Walther model is pretty cool. Right off the top of my head, I can't name another SA/DA striker fired gun with a decocker (perhaps someone can enlighten me who else made something similar). Those crazy Germans come up with some cool stuff, huh? However, everyone except Hollywood actors/directors/advisers knows a Glock slide MUST be racked to preset the trigger. -
If I can remember that far back, I think I paid around $180 shipped for my first one. That was back when these $8 boxes of Brown Bear were everywhere. The Silver Bear was a nice deal at $10-11/box too for hollow points. Nowadays, I had to start reloading my own to keep from paying $16-18 plus shipping for a box...that is, IF I can find them.

In the immortal words of Maude Findlay: "God'll getcha for that one." funny as hell, though

That's good stuff, man. I had forgotten about that added benefit. I remember now, seeing a video where the guy mentioned using the side saddle for staging specialty rounds. That may be a good enough reason to get one all by itself.

I really only wanted one because they're bada$$ and tacticool, anyway.

All I can figure is that there must be a back story here that I don't know about. Churches form committees that search hard for just the right preacher for their congregation, especially a church that appears to be as well-funded as this one is. Regardless of whether I like his style, maybe the congregation had gotten lost in the "process" and he was trying to stir them up. I quit going to church because of all the pomp and circumstance. The pageantry of it all got to be too much. Then, there's the business side of things. Anyone who's overheard the elders talk about ways to increase tithes and boost collection plates could easily get fed up with the business side of religion too. Churches don't build themselves and programs cost money. Maybe he's seeing this and is fed up? Seems a bit over the top and bullying to me, but it may actually be warranted, who knows?

Personally, I like the idea of having some extra shells on board, if something goes bump in the night. Since I don't have pockets on my boxers, this seems as good an option as any. I do NOT like the sleeves I see on the stock. That really seems like it'd get in the way. The side saddles that attach to the receiver seem like a smart idea (except the ones that attach with velcro). No doubt they'd be handy for a 3-gun match, but I haven't put one on the Mossberg by my bed, yet. I'm curious to hear about drawbacks, if they exist too.

I wish I could recall what movie/TV show I saw this in, but the bad guy corners our hero and levels his Glock for a point blank shot only to find he's fired all 50 rounds of ammo in his 17 round magazine. The slide never locked back, the gun goes click to emphasize he's out of ammo, but he doesn't give up...no...he proceeds to pull the trigger several more times and we hear click, click, click each time.
