  I'm looking forward to hearing what you think of it.   They make several compact 45's that have caught my eye.

The problem with crappy choices at the poll is that it's a tough choice and we don't like tough choices. I suggest that it takes a bigger man to hold his nose and vote for the lesser of 2 evils than it does to stay home. Sometimes when you jump into a fight you have to choose between getting cut and getting shot.    The GOP isn't going to back more conservative candidates in the primaries because a bunch of people stayed home in the last general election. They are already 100% convinced they need to go after the middle instead of the extremes. If the middle finds Alexander palatable, but thinks Carr is too conservative, WE STILL LOSE THE ELECTION. Alexander isn't a RINO anymore, he's a mainstream Republican. The party has changed that much.   The only way to avoid casting a vote for a Republican you don't like is to make sure they don't win the primary. The country didn't prove me wrong in 2012, Romney won the primary. The more conservative candidates were too principled to step aside and leave ONE conservative to duke it out with Romney, so he ran away with it. Then we tried to show the GOP by staying home and now we have 4 more years of hell. I guess we showed them, huh?

  I'd imagine that FL has their database wide open to facilitate reciprocity with friendly states. Hostile states may have access also, because of this, but not sure.     I agree...sticks it to the taxpayers, who elect officials, who appoint idiots, who hire officers, who operate like this. Hopefully everyone in the chain gets the picture and rethinks things, but sadly, I doubt it.

I played with one at the same show this past weekend and almost bought it. I liked everything about that light.. IIRC, it was cheaper at the show than I'm seeing online. I usually don't like Glocks due to their width, because I can't get my fingers comfortably around the grip.   The last few Sigs I've held feel just as wide, but oddly the grip seems to have a smaller circumference.   I'm starting to come around to accepting a little more width, but I can't tolerate an unnecessarily fat grip on a handgun. YMMV

I've been wanting to get a Sig for a while, but have trouble deciding which. Every time I think I know which one I want they keep coming out with something new that I like as much or more.    They changed up the actors at some point, can't recall when, but they lost me. Also, I don't recall which one, but it had Duvall in it, but it was SO slow and boring that even having him on screen couldn't make up for the slow plot. I LOVE westerns, but for some reason, I'm not much of a John Wayne fan. I'm with you about Clint Eastwood, though. Even his spaghetti westerns were good.

All the belts recommended are exceptional belts. However, based on what you said in your OP, I think you'd find most of them too stiff, because they are gun belts. I was of the impression that you aren't looking for a stiff gun belt.   Assuming the Barsony that you like is the thickness and price range you were looking for, I'd recommend checking out Hank's. They have some great Amish belts for reasonable prices.   The problem with thinner, less stiff belts is that they do wear out faster, though.

These shows are getting more and more like flea markets every year. Sometimes I find a good deal, but not like it used to be. Nonetheless, I enjoy the hell out of going and will likely continue. So, thank God the ones in Murfreesboro are still happening. I'd hate to have to stoop to going to the BG show in Nashville or that indoor yard sale in Lebanon they call a gun show.

You're prolly right, most of the gals I've seen twerk looked like their idea of fine cuisine is springing for the Marie Calendar's instead of Banquet.

Pretty darn clever

I tried to ship a ball cap to my wife's grandpa in PA last Christmas in a box it barely fit in without crushing it. Those crooks tried to charge me over $11, almost as much as we paid for the hat. I walked out and went to the post office and the same box at USPS was less than $5. Maybe they skim a some off the shipping fees, but UPS is ridiculously high to begin with.

I still like MidwayUSA...quite a bit, in fact. I will be the first hold Mr. Potterfield up as a shining example of brilliant entrepreneurship in a niche market. His success was hard-earned and is well-deserved. I even look forward to his commercial on my usual Monday and Wednesday night TV shows on The Outdoor Channel and The Sportsmans Channnel. My only complaint is that I don't have a shipping option and that is a business decision of his that has and will continue to lose him some of my business. When I shop for gun stuff, I put it in my cart and check the price with shipping on multiple sites before I order. Despite not having a shipping choice, he still sometimes wins my business. Often times when it's within a dollar or so, he wins, even if he loses, b/c he has dozens of other things I want that I can throw into my cart one by one until shipping seem unreasonable.

I don't blame Potterfield or MidwayUSA for the shipping rates that UPS charge. I blame Potterfield and MidwayUSA for getting into bed so deep with UPS that I have no shipping options with them. I see lots of companies that let me choose between UPS, FedEx, and USPS and with more than one option from each. I get to choose the carrier and the speed.

  You must be new around here, LOL.   The way we do things around here is...we speculate, conjecture, and extrapolate based on the info we have at the time. If that info changes later, we either reload and get back into the fight or dig our heels in and invent fantastic theories to support our original position (see any of the 1/2 dozen Zimmerman-Martin threads).

Yes, really. Is he as bad as drug dealers or pimps, no, but there's definitely room under the banner for people like him. The kind of crap like he does in this video makes him feel like a big shot for a minute, but look what it cost the citizens in the state of CA. Like DaveS said, our rights are a vote and a signature away from being taken away. People doing what this guy did got so old that police chiefs across the state of CA got sick of it and asked for the OC law to be rescinded. The state legislature abided and the governor signed and *poof* every law-abiding gun owner in the state got screwed. Betcha they think guys like this are scum too.
