No, not at all. It's much more serious.

Not sure if you realized that you you don't need your carry permit to shoot, or even buy, a handgun here. But good on ya for getting it.

I love the name. "Maxim 9". -
I recently spent three weeks working in Northern Cal (Redding). I must say, the people there reminded me of the "gun culture" in this state. They are some of the most freedom-loving and gun-loving people I have met. I won't go into details because they're still behind the curtain. The odd thing is that I was working with government employees. CalFire, US Forest Service, and retired Forest Service. There is, unsurprisingly to me now, a very active movement to separate from central and southern Cal and create the State of "Jefferson". I saw quite a few signs while driving around, especially in the more rural areas. Very nice country. Even if it is prone to burning fiercely. I didn't get much time to see the sights, but the one day I got off, we (I traveled with a buddy from the Smokies) climbed Mt. Lassen. It's a volcano that last erupted in 1915. (Oops. Last MAJOR eruption was 1915. There were smaller ones in the years after.) I'm in pretty decent shape, but the thin air at 10,000 feet had me sucking wind. I must have stopped a couple dozen times before the top. And the grade wasn't even that steep. Of course my buddy, who hikes in the Smokies for a living, beat me by half an hour. There are fields full of large rocks, probably hundreds of square miles, from the really big eruption of Tehama (the original mountain), which was tens of thousands of years ago. From a long distance (Redding), you can see the edges of Tehama, miles away from the present peak. And millennia later (can't remember the estimated timeline), Lassen Peak poked up through the rubble of the original mountain. Seriously, driving by these fields full of these enormous rocks, one can imagine that it would have been terrifying to have been within one hundred miles of the explosion, with these rocks falling all around (and maybe ON) you. But I don't think humans were yet on this continent at the time. I would have liked to visit the Redwoods, Mt. Shasta, the coast, and a bunch of other places, but we didn't get a chance. I missed Little Man, and I probably won't travel that far, or for that amount of time, away from him again. Aside from that, and the flights, it was a pretty good trip. Made decent money (thanks taxpayers) and got to see a part of the country I've never visited before.

Do you have a .22? If not, I know somebody who does.

Stopped by there today. Pretty good prices on powder. Also a couple Anderson lowers for $50.

This is it. Someday I will build a house. And we will have separate bathrooms.

I was here first. Commie bastages can KMA. They may kill me, but they better bring a lunch. Estonian women are welcome to join the fight, however.

Bravo Sierra. If it's too hard to notice what position the seat is in before sitting, then you asked for it. Especially on a public toilet. WhoTF sits on those bare-arsed anyway? Ya basty nastard. Yup. Written by a vengeful broad.

Time for a game of Good idea/Bad idea.

So messing with the gas block won't void the warranty as well? If I were just going to use the sling for carrying, I'd probably just loop some leather around the barrel. Surely that wouldn't void the warranty. -
Build a time machine. Travel back to 1991. Buy a truckload of Norinco Mak-90s for 200 apiece. Come back and retire. And take me with you please. No really. Don't worry about milled vs stamped. You can't afford to wear out either of them. (Wait, you're not Donald Trump, are you?). All the above advice is sound. Have a friend who had a couple WASR-10s. Ran like a scalded dog. They could have used a little tuning by Dolomite, however. Way over gassed.

Stoeger Cougar. As mentioned. Have one and like it. Canik TP9. Never fired one but they get good reviews. Taurus PT111. I want one of these.

I'm ugly. I'm fat. I have no personality. I'm boring. Edit: Oh yeah. Should have read the OP. Unfortunately, that's one reason I don't like to go out in public. Word of advice, never trust a fart.

Looks like you have an Escape Route. Just clear out around your outside door. Or is that a tall window?

True. But glyphosate (Roundup) won't even kill for a summer when used by itself. Not grass at least. I'm about to make another application in a couple days. Maybe that will last until fall. I think sunny areas tend to recover faster, as you would expect.

What press should I buy for my brother in law?

Oh well then... I have one of those bumper stickers "2b1, ask1". And I'm a ninja. So, ummm, lemme know. -
Ha! Never heard that expression before. Sage words.

Dude, that sucks. But yeah, for real. At that age, the chances they'll last more than a couple years are slim. And they'll probably have a kid, who will have to live in a broken family. If he happens to be wise beyond his years (doubtful) he'll spend two weeks in jail, break up with her, remove himself from all that drama, go to college, start a career, meet a mature woman who is less crazy than most, marry her and hope she doesn't go crazy in her older years. In that order. Good luck Josten. You're gonna need it.

Just like Hitlery was with Bill, I kinda doubt Michelle cares about Barry's boyfriends. Oops, did I just say that?

Lenior City traffic stop

Just watched the video. It must have taken great restraint on the rider's part to not react reflexively when the cop snatched his gun. I know for me, it wouldn't be a conscious decision to react, even if for a fraction of a second. It was a dick move. I saw no reason he couldn't have simply told the rider that he was going to disarm him. I think that would have gone further toward avoiding an "uncomfortable" situation. May have even kept him off the internet, who knows. -
Illegal Hunting, Don't Boast or Use Facebook

Moron. Don't think I know any of the people involved. So that's good. Well, except the judge. Went to school with him. -
Or 15 days. Take the 15 days, man. http://wgntv.com/2015/08/07/texas-judge-orders-man-to-marry-girlfriend-or-go-to-jail/

Yeah. Those can be "testy".
