  1. I always do it outside & have a fan behind me blowing it away from me. Also wear a respirator when I am around the pot (freaks out the neighbors too).  I leave the clothes I wore in the garage too just incase and always wear the same ones when casting.   I read to wash any exposure with high phosporus soap like the detergent you put in dishwashers.
  2. I could be wrong but you need some lead anchors. They go in the drilled holes in the concrete and the bolts make them expand securing them in the hole.
  3. Reminds me of when I was 13 and did that to the front yard with a M80. Except yours doesn't end with your Dad whippin your azz like mine did. LOL
  4. I wonder where these idiots who are paying these prices are from. I suspect (hope) it's the Obama supporters who realize they really don't want what they voted for. They suddenly realize they may not be able to have one but really want one.
  5. Anyone see the email from Cheaper than Dirt? They got a shipment of mags... $60 for a Pmag.  & $129 for a AR metal mag stamped Colt. I contacted one of there CSR's via the online chat. Told them they are crazy and they have seen their last dollar from me.
  6. We can draw a hard line in the sand and say F' you its our right and we don't care if my actions make you feel scared, threatened, etc. but it only fuels the fires to take the rights away. With the right to carry comes responsibility. Responsibility to pratice gun safety, be trained to use and handle it safely.  Responsibility to be courtious to the fellow man. Basically we raise the bar on our behavoir.   You want to carry your AR out in public have at it and enjoy the right in an appropriate place. But don't go walking down small town USA like some commando wannabe.  People will always see it as a threat.  I see a cop walking down the street I am OK because I trust he has been well trained. I see a cop carrying an AR I think some serious stuff must be going down somewhere. I see a civilian carrying an AR I raise an eyebrow. I don't know if this guy failed the 5th grade 10 times and just bought this with absolutely no training.   Basically if we dont exercise discresion in our judgemnt when and where to open carry the government will exercise it for us and we won't like the outcome.
  7. Your walking down the street with your kids and you see these guys approach. Do you think to yourself oh look they are demonstrating their 2nd admendment rights  or are you thinking WTF are these guys up to. These guys may be f'ed in the head walking toward their first victim. What would you do?   IMO its not a smart thing to do?
  8. Obama just signed a new order given his wife life time protection and his kids protection until they are 16. I guess this means they will have armed guards at their school. Why not allow the same protection to all schools.
  9. If its a private owner selling at those prices well their just being an azz hat. No one ever said all gun owners are decent people. If they are dealers they are panicing. Once this ban goes through most will probably shutdown or see sales reduce so much they need to learn the phrase " you want fries with that". Just think of all the manufacturers of these guns and gear that unless they have the military or LEO contract will be affected. You would think it would be a bit of the opposite happening. If a dealer is holding on to a stash of these guns and mags because of the stupid prices once the ban hits they end up holding un sellable goods (for at least 4 more years).
  10.   Have you looked at the Lee Precision website. They usually have prices cheaper than most.
  11. I saw on the news where we (at least those who pay taxes) flew the family to Hawaii for their Christmas.
  12. Goofing around online and came across the online advertisments for Dunham Sports. They have a Stack On 14 gun cabinet (not a safe) onsale for today only for $119.  I needed new place for ammo storage so picked one up.   They also have the GSG 22 for $279. Saw a few heading out the door when I was there but had 3 left in the display. Also a CMMG AR 22 conversion kit for $169. Only saw one of these on the shelf.
  13. I'd be interested.   Could round up a couple of the neighbors cats for starters
  14. Wonder if this school had a SRO. I know my kids elementary school (Maury County) has an older but still active Sheriffs Officer that carries. Most days he just helps open milks in the cafeteria. LOL     Earlier they reported the 24 yo brother was hiding in the woods. They took him into custody at the scene.
  15. With 3 kids in elementary school myself this hit me in the gut (hard). What huge POS that can do this to young kids.   With Obama holding back tears in his news speech I think we are in for some serious gun bans quickly.   Interested to hear WTF the 24 yo brother was doing in the woods? Was he supoose to be on the bushmaster as they came out?
  16. Go check out SAMs club. They have a year return policy on their TVs. Had a LCD/DVD combo in the kids room. About 10 months in the DVD player gave out. Took it back for a full refund. Aren't those Black Friday deals refurbed units anyway?
  17. I grabbed 2 from him over the summer when he was charging $75 a piece. They eat up some space but its piece of mind to know they are filled just in case.
  18. I recently started into reloading shotgun 12 ga. I picked up a MEC 600 jr along with a ton of hulls and wads, shot, powders through a kind older gentleman getting out of the game. My main loads are slugs to squirrel away for we'll.... I have loaded some #7 shot too. Mainly sticking with AA hulls and Green dot. Research all the combinations can get confusing fast. I am in Columbia. Feel free to drop me a line.
  19. Nice. As soon as the weather cools off I am going to get the welder and plasma cutter out to make some gong targets. I am going to add this to the list. Thanks for sharing.
  20. Dang! Someone just spent all their lunch money.
  21. Heres my NHM-91
  22. I use BLC-2 in my .223 reloads.
  23. I have a Lee slug mold and already load slugs. I was looking for something to do with this #7 shot I have. If I did not already have it I wouldn't go out of my way to try it. From what I read this was the old school way of creating a slug. May play around with a few then try to swap the 7 shot for some buck shot.
  24. I did a search but did not see anyone who has actually loaded any with a crimp. I got a deal on a MEC 600jr, MEC 650, 50lbs #7 shot, boxes of wads and probably 700 AA and various other hulls. I bought it mainly to load slugs. I have already loaded about 100 AA with #7 for clay loads and don't need anymore clay loads since thats not my style shooting. I saw this dude on you tube making the wax slugs by cutting the tops off of bird shot loads then repouring the wax/shot mix but the shell was open with just a waxed end. Claims he gets 6" groupings at 100 yrds. I want to give these a try but would either make a mold and make them outside the shell and load like a regular slug OR prime, powder and wad the shell then pour in the wax.shot then crimp after it sets. I have a lead slug mold but need something to use this #7 shot on too. Anyone try these out.
