I have a similar design vertical in an old New Braunfels smoker. That charcoal basket works great in just about anything. With the weather turning cooler and football it's definitely time to start smoking.

If I start burning crayons the kids may turn on me. A cotton ball dipped in wax or Vaseline will burn about 30 mins. We always hit the Goodwill stores after church. Good source of cheap candles as long as style doesn't matter. Every once in a while I luck up on some silver too.

Just got back from my Field Day today. I did the online thing followed up with the field day. Nifty little trailer the TWRA has for the live fire. BTW TWRA said they already have their first reported tree stand incident not even season yet. Someone checking one fell off/out and broke a foot/ankle.

I have a Knox on my 870. It does work pretty well. I always describe it as it steps down the recoil. With a 2 3/4 shell slugs feel like buck shot, buck like bird.....

Did you get any idea how many stations it will be at build out? With a 500 member limit hopefully it will be enough. Nothing worse than standing elbows to elbows at the gun range.
-
Anybody know anything about this guy running it? That's about 15 miles from me. $150 plus $50 application fee. Limited to 500 members. 1000yd range by appointment only. I may have to go check it out.

Theres a track in Spring Hill of Joe Peay Road. Think its called wildflower park or something like that. It's next to the yard where I keep my 5th wheel and seems to be pretty popular on the weekends.

5.25"x9.25". I've been using the HF cleaner for about a year. Does a great job with water and a dash of liquid dish soap. Run it a few cycles with the heat at it cleans great.

I have a '95 Volvo 850 that is my road beater to and from work. It did this too. Turns out the compressor needed to be shimed. The flywheel was out of spec, meaning to far away from the magnets to stay engaged. A few 3/8" washers and some JB weld and it was enough to position it back to where the magnets would hold it. Been working like that for 3 years. You may also want to check you pressure switch to be sure its not faulty.

I have 2 Kirby's. Picked up both off Craigslist for $100 each with all the attachments. Take them apart (real easy) clean up, new belts, rollers, some spit and polish and they work like new. I think both are Gen 6's but its the same motor in all of them. They only changed the look for the most part. They are strong vacuums. Its the only vacuum I have found that will pick up my labs hair and still be worth a crap after 6 months. No way would I ever pay 2k for this vacuum. $500 is pushing it.

That was great! If we could only do that more often. I had one of their lowers. For a polymer it was pretty good.

Heck they also have Aguila 38 & 40 grn and 40 grn Rem Thunder bolt (21/500rnd). Order 1 box or 3 its $15 for shipping. The ammo is there just have to search through the selections to find it.
-
Those magnesium fire starters at Harbor Freight for $2.99 work great. Strike it on a cotton ball dipped it Vaseline or candle wax. Never failed yet.
-
Aguila 30grn 500 rnds still there. Says mixed availability until you select 500 rnds

Pork-Infused Ammunition, Not Seen Since Black Jack Pershing

Just put some bacon bits in your hollow points and add some wax to hold it in. -
That surprising I have been in there many times and he always deals me straight.

Made some carpenter bee loads for my 38. Primer/wad/crushed walnut/wad. Was good for a kill at 3' to 4'.
-
Same thing happened to my wifes Honda, Mechanic said they eat the wire coating because its made from rice hulls. A 209 primer alone sounds like a firecracker so quite may not be possible.

He may be infringing on the Slidefire stock patten. lol. What for it.....ATF will soon be banning 2x4's and wooden rods.
-
Last time I was at my range it was packed to the point I was not comfortable. When its elbow to elbow across the bench no thanks. Only brass I want back is my 5.56 and other rifle brass. I have enough 9, 40 and 45 that I need not worry about it.

Schakowsky: Assault Weapons Ban 'Just the Beginning'
Dad03 replied to QuietDan's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Ha! I can see the new HOA regs. No guns allowed in the community. What a crock. -
As stated the wax slugs work great. I have a 12 ga loader so I mix cheap old candle wax with birdshot in a pot, spoon it in the wad then crimp the shell. Same performance as a 1oz slug at 50yds.

As of 5:00 today Dunhams Sports in Columbia has Wolf 7.62x39 for 7.99 abox and .223 for 9.99 a box. Also had something in a mystery wrapper for $7.99 Im guessing steel cased.223 but it only had a price no label. Had 2 boxes of .223 Remington 200 count for $149 and 2 Ultramax 62 grn 250 count for $129. I picked up 1 Ultramax 250 count. Mostly LC brass but look good. No 22LR either I guess the shelves stay stocked now since they have a 4 box limit or 1 bulk pack limit.
