  1. I paid the lifetime membership fee when I first joined. Have posted items for sale many times. Not sure when it happened but now I get that message saying I have to be a benefactor to post here. I was what happened?
  2. I am a few months into reloading. I reloaded some 45acp using new remington brass, 4.0 grns Bullseye, CCI 300, 225 grn cast FN, 1.22 OAL, Accuracy was excellent. Next round of reloads everything the exact same except the brass was some range pickup (mixed head stamps) & tumbled clean. The brass was tumbled in walnut and cob media for about 8 hours. The accuracy of these are horrible. 3" low/high at 15 yds! Does the re-used brass loose accuracy over new brass?
  3. If you saw the revocation for life statement in the plea deal would it had made a difference in your discission. Would you have signed it or said forget it lets go to trial? This won't help you much but thanks for sharing (partially) your story. The rest of us should take lessons learned away from this and fly straight or be subjected to the consequences.
  4. now I have to buy some 38 dies to try this.
  5. Curious to hear where everyone has their reloading bench set up. I initially have it set up in a corner of the garage but with the warmer weather around the corner was think about the convinence (Air Conditioning) of setting it up inside. Worried about the safety aspects of it though. Need to add that I am fairly new to reloading and already addicted. I have never had a primer go off or other mishaps I have read about. I keep a fire extinguisher next to me and safety glasses.
  6. At what range are you shooting at them?
  7. Look for the you tube video where a guy shoots himself in the hand with the 18.
  8. They are open. Nice place. I see a lot of guys sitting around talking and not much shooting some days. Everyone is pretty freindly. For $40 bucks a year you can't beat it.
  9. Its already bad. DON'T EAT IT. Give me your address and I will come take it for further testing.
  10. The Bersa is a great gun for the money. I have a 45 Thunder UC (not the pro model). Shoots great. I have put about 200 rounds through mine and had only 1 FTE last weekend but I think the casing was to blame. Cleared it out and went back to it. Yes the slide should stay open on the last round out. The finish shows wear fast but its not a show gun. From what I read about it the only difference in the new "Pro" model from the Thunder UC is the round in chamber indicator and a indicator to see how many rounds remain in the mag.
  11. I have one, for sale too. They are great. There is a bunch of online reading for them. From what I can gather Century Arms started putting out some real crap in the later production models. The bolt gap is the issue. Some of the later models had the barrel pressed on not to spec an it makes the bolt gap out of spec. To fix the issue CA grinded down the bolt to increase the bolt gap making the gun dangrous to fire. To fix these the barrel needs to be repressed and a new bolt. Since these are roller lock designs the bolt gap is important since the rollers need to seat in the correct position. Look for the earlier models that came with wood furniture but still check that bolt gap and make sure the bolt was not grinded on.!!! You are looking for a bolt gap between .009"-.024". The middle of the range the better. I have seen these as high as $800. BTW mine is only $650, one of the good ones with the earlier woodstock furniture and has a bolt gap at .016" with a solid bolt. Only selling it cause the gun safe is getting crowded and 308 ammo is not the cheapest to shot. Recoil is pretty tame but its a big boomer!

    Warning America

mmmm Perky apples.... now thats hot!
  13. Man have I been through this! Does not matter how many signatures you get or who draws it up. If the party wants to screw you the only recourse is in the courts. You file against the opposing party, opposing party counters on frivolous claims but just to muddy the waters, courts are so tied up in bankrupcies & budget cuts (more important issues) it gets dragged out. Opposing attorney files countless motions to dismiss based on nonsense (courts allow this!!!!). Runs up your attorney fees in answering motions. You get screwed in the "judicial shuffle" (change of judges) You spend a ton on your legal fees only to be sent to Remediation. (what ever it was called) options are to settle for what amounts to your legal fees or continue with more of the above. Basically should have bent over in the begining to save the time and aggravation. At least the Attorneys got paid.
  14. I think its 30 questions. As we went through the course material our instructor would tell us "this is on the test". Is a breeze.
  15. I bought this on a whim last week. Paid $350 used in mint condition. Just got back from the range and wow is this a great gun. Feels good, fits good, love the safety, the recoil is less than my Glock 19 and just as accurate. Only down side is a 7 rnd mag. This may be my new carry. First clip at 25yrds, 3 in the white are the first 3 then I got lucky. 15yrds single hand - right hand then left. I am right handed most hit in the black, left hand well....at least they hit the paper.
  16. I have a CT on my Glock 19. Its great! I can easily see the dot on a target at 75yds on a cloudy day could have gone 100+yds.
  17. Its hard to beat Academy Sports in Cool Springs

    stolen gun

Wasn't there a report of some punks walking neighborhoods looking for people out doing yard work and they would walk right in while the homeowner was outside? It happened some where in the Nashville area. Happened to me back in Florida in the mid 90's from then on I always shut the garage door. It sucks for sure. Hope you get it back.
  19. If it becomes known. I would think that if you explain your reason (protection while on the road) and be cool about it they should be OK. I wouldn't carry it to dinner in the resort area. Its probaly in the fine print at check in. They would probably ask you to leave if they have an issue. I wouldn't worry about it.
  20. Which resort are you staying at? I am from Central Fl. Don't drive through Orlando without it at the ready. Its a freakin zoo nowadays. Wife is a teacher and we would chaparone Senior trips/Grad night, etc. Most kids were good but there were always a few who we had to pic up at Disney jail. Best was when a kid was throwing McD's BBQ sauce on space mountain, yep caught on camera even on that dark ride! Lock it in your room safe, keep it way concealed. Disney has cameras all over their resort property.
  21. I heard On Target in Murfreesboro has a guy that does a great job.
  22. I have a CETME Sporter that I am thinking of having a Duracoat pattern applied to. Not sure I want to do it myself. Anyone know of someone who can do it right. Looking for a Professional job.
  23. Academy has the Cannon 'Scout' safe marked from $499 to $399. 14 gun, 30 minute @1200 degree fire rating. I went to Cool Springs and pick up their last one, floor model, and got another 10% off. $360+tax! Most solid $400 ($360 ) safe I have seen. Paper work says it has the same Cannon warrenty as the rest of their safes. Pretty nice safe for the money, no exposed hinges, 360lbs, Got it secured in corner of 2 CMU walls, that thing isnt going anywhere.
