  1. Excellent match Robert. Weather was perfect, and we had a good squad. Everybody helped out.
  2. Another great match John. Everyone helped out pasting, resetting, scoring, and SO'ing in our squad, so the stages went by quickly. Some new faces and new shooters. Mostly good stages except I screwed up stage one too, therefore it was a badly designed stage. And what about stage 5? Was it "quasi-limited", "kinda limited", "almost limited", "coulda been limited" or what? I messed that one up too, therefore ...
  3. You know I re-upped last month, right?
  4. The Tactical Rifle match scores are now posted on the Green River Gun Club website:   http://www.bggrgc.com/index.html   Great shooting Rick and Brooks. If I didn't know better, I'd think you guys have been practicing!   Doesn't IDPA stand for I Don't Practice Anymore?
  5. Noted. Heck, I was an engineering major, and it hurt my head!
  6. I agree, that stage was very confusing and the discription was poorly written. After finally watching several people attempt to shoot it, I finally figured it out. Of course by the time I shot it, my brain was well done. I'll pass your comments along to the party responsible for that stage.  The other stage that concerned me was stage 2 with the tunnel, even though it was fun. The SO lost control of the shooter while he was in the tunnel. Not a good idea.
  7. Excellent match, even though it was hot as blazes! Dan, will post scores soon. Thanks to the all the shooters. Everyone seemed to jump in and help with set-up, tear-down, pasting, resetting, etc. A bunch of new faces from Knob Creek and Kentukiana, and Clarksville. Thanks for making that long drive. Thanks Chris S for scoring, Denny and I were pretty wasted by the 3'rd stage. Really appreciate the help. I welcome any feedback you guys have, good and bad. If you have any suggestions that you think would help us improve things for the near term or next year, I'd love to hear them. Green River is a sanctioned IDPA club, so all of our matches use IDPA scoring, and "IDPA like" targets and rules. I know this clashes with those USPSA shooters, but untill we can find a "volunteer" to run USPSA matches here, that's the way it is. We have 3 more matches before the end of the year.  We will resume matches in March 2014. Sept. 28'th will be a "BUG" ( Back up Gun) match, October 26'th will be our annual Night match, and November 23'rd will be a regular IDPA match.
  8. It's not always about competition, sometimes it's about fun! My Garand made short work of the steel at the shoot house using the scout scope, but my red dot let me down, and reloads from 8 round enbloc clips added lots of time. Had to go to my M1 carbine back-up gun when I discovered I couldn't hit paper with the red dot on the Garand.
  9. Outstanding! About time your bro got some trigger time. See you there.
  10. Not this time. I think Dan has hid it away, and relagated it to handguns only.
  11. Bigger is better. I'm going to bring an old school missle launcher too. Watch out for the bulldog!
  12. I'm sure a 1911 would have eaten it up and spit it out!
  13. Good job on the stages, John.  Much better than I expected after I saw them online. Lots of fun! Keep up the good work and don't listen to the Hognut! On stage one, I learned that pocket lint will stop a Glock!!

  16. I think you have a brand new little poop maker. The poop will never be off the plate!   20 rounds max in the rifle," IDPA like" rules (scoring, use of cover, etc.)   Hope to see you there. See if your bro can get his plate clear for a day.

  19. I guess I'll leave my 48 round AR mag at home then. I like K.I.S.S. See you Saturday. Bring bullets.
  20. OK Hognut, what kind of divisions/mag capacities/rules will we be dealing with?
  21. I was so happy that you had designed the stages and we didn't have to be subjected to the stuff that HOGNUT comes up with, and then I shot stage 2!!! You are a mean, mean man! Four out of five ain't bad. It was still fun.
  22. Wow, nice shooting John!!! Keep it up. BTW, my XDM slide is at King's getting a coating of "burnt bronze". Don't have a return date yet.
  23. If you did not recieve the scores via email, they are up on the GRGC website.
  24. MArk, The boys seemed to enjoy themselves, sorry you couldn't make it. Good looking pooch, but not as pretty as my girl Remington (65 lb Boxer).   Don't forget RICE (Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevate).   See you at Gallatin in a couple of weeks.
  25. Glad you guys enjoyed the match, I did too. It was shorter than last year's match but still a lot of fun. Dan is still working on the scores, stay tuned. Wanda and Robert, great to see you guys on the range again. I was looking for DMark, but I heard his bulldog took him out. Man's best friend! Oh, and GW... SHOOT THE WHITE !!!! Hope to see you all soon.
