  2. I can't make the match this week (we are having our last 3-gun match of the season), but I should be able to make the December shoot. I was hoping someone would do a postal match!
  3. We have updated the divisions to reflect the latest IDPA divisions and shotgun capacity is 5+1. I know everyone will hate it. That's IDPA. Look at it as an opportunity to practice your reloads.

  5. Green River Gun Club of Bowling Green KY will be hosting an IDPA BUG MATCH Saturday June 25th. We've got 8 exciting stages planned for this match with a round count of 40. This is a good match for beginners, targets are closer, stages are limited to 5 rounds, no reloads required. It's fun for the experienced shooters too, and it gives you a chance to shoot the gun you "carry a lot and shoot a little". You don't even need a holster. Just bring a handgun (it doesn't have to be a back-up gun (BUG)), ammo, and hearing and eye protection, and you are ready to go. Set up is at 8am, shooters meeting at 9am, match begins at 9:30am. For more info go to Green River Gun Clubs website,
  6. There will be two rifle/pistol stages, one shotgun/pistol stage and two rifle/pistol/shotgun stages. Minimum 38 rifle rounds, 51 pistol rounds and 12 shotgun rounds ( all birdshot, no slugs).
  7. Brooks is correct. 20 rounds max for rifle, 8 shotgun except open shotgun allows 10. Handgun is basically whatever the mag will hold as long as it doesn't extend below the grip. We have four divisions, Limited, Tactical, Open and Heavy Metal. We haven't yet updated the divisions to comply with IDPA yet. Maybe next year. Go to this link for a full description of the divisions http://www.bggrgc.com/html/3GunDivisions.jpg. Most of the basic IDPA rules apply: Use cover, retain mags that have rounds in them, tactical priority and sequence, etc. Concealment garment will NOT be required.

You can drop an empty mag, but must stow any mags with rounds in it. Use cover as in any IDPA match. We won't limit movement, per IDPA. Leave the race guns and holsters at home.
