  1. Just a few weeks ago the guide rod in my Walther PPS 9mm split on one end. I began to clean it after I got home from the range and as I went to take it out - zing - it all went to pieces. Like I said, the end had split. Functioned fine at the range. I replaced it with one from BT guide rods. I have only fired about 25 rounds since. Will fire more later before I return it to carry duty.
  2. Nice. I got to handle one today at Sportsman's Warehouse. I liked the weight and feel. Would like to see Ruger offer it in other colors but if not I would still take one. However, the one at Sportsmans did not want to eject the mag. They had to pull it out. It seemed to be hanging up on something. Anyway, as I was leaving I noticed the counter guys fiddling with it. I wonder if they will try to fix it, send it back to Ruger or just sell it? Any problem with your mag ejecting?
  3. Looks great. I have the P99 AS and love it. Fully agree on the ergonomics. Walther is way under rated. Too bad you can't shoot it. Maybe she will let you hold it everyday at least.
  4. My brother went by about a month ago and was told they are online sales only now.
  5. Since you say concealment is not a problem, maybe this will work. I have not experience with it but I have read good things about the company. Chesty Puller Conversion System
  6. How can we have a thread like this without one single picture. Let's remedy that. Ruger Single-Six with buffalo horn grips. Please ignore the Woodsman in the background.
  7. You will wind up carrying it, a lot. I did.
  8. S&W 18 & 17-3 S&W 17-6 & 617 Colt Woodsman and Ruger SS
  9. I have the P99AS in 9mm. The grip frame is perfect for me. I love the mag release. I shot about 500 rounds through it over a 2 day defensive pistol course. Not one problem. I purposely did not clean it over the 2 days. When I stripped it down later I was surprised how clean it looked inside. I used MagTech ammo. That stuff must be very clean.
  10. 43 years ago, $15 would come out to about $100 today according to the inflation calculator I used.
  11. Good information. Thanks Leroy

    Guns of USFA

Anyone on here own any guns from USFireArms? If so, I would like to see some pictures (especially of the single actions) and get your opinion. They look like first rate heirloom quality. I really like the 12/22 and the Double Eagle. Price is another issue.
  13. I placed the order in April. So you must be next.
  14. I am not sure who all on this board has a holster from TT gunleather, but i do remember some saying they would like to get one. Well here is mine. I waited about 12 weeks. Not the best photo.
