  1. I do love the Irish. Can't stand the Vols. It's fairly typical for a fan of another program that is not so steeped in tradition and success to be jealous of Notre Dame and accuse its fans of living in the past. Let's be honest, as a Notee Dame fan why wouldn't you be proud of the tradition. Notre Dame brought college football to America. 11 consensus National Championships (21 if you count 'em the way "Bama does) 7 Heisman winners, and revolutionizing the way the game is played with the forward pass. I do love the fact that Notre Dame has forgotten about more Championships than TN will ever win. Lou and Knute are gone and the great thing about Notre Dame is that their lore persists. Major college programs go through down cycles, they will be back. USC was down before Caroll, Bama before Saban, and so on. Notre Dame will be back. Even if they don't the fact that they bring in good kids that graduate at or above 95% and don't make headlines by robbing gas stations will always be enough to keep me as a fan.
  2. Here's a question for ya Almond since you seem to be so down on Notre Dame and so high on the Vols. If they have been so irrelevant in your lifetime what happened the last 2 times the Vols played the Irish? Maybe you will remeber that. Also you claim to have known some blue chip athletes, from where? One from Ootewah that was always gonna go to UT? This is a big country buddy, there are alot of kids across the country that Notre Dame brings in. Case in point this was the first year in the past 5 that they had a recruting class outside the top 10. And I'm glad you like Dooley, I can't wait to see what happens in the next 2 years if Richt gets fired and the GA job opens up. I hope Kelly leads the Irish back to glory. I don't think they are that far away. Crist will be back this summer and that kid will do great in Kell's system. They have 3 great receivers still, and some great backs returning. Defense is the big question mark. They will be decent this year, will most likely not make a BCS game, and hopefully will win a National Championship in 4 years. TN will continue to be a SEC bottom feeder for 5 years.
  3. Yep. Except for that National Championship in '88, the one they got screwed out of in '93 and the back to back BCS bowl appearnces in '05 and '06. True they have fallen on hard times lately but they are they only team in the country that can go through that kind of mediocrity and still be in the headlines. They will be back. I like where the program is headed now.
  4. My parents live in Ringgold. I laugh every time I go by that little Viper lot. Love me some Aunt Effies though.
  5. Don't I know it StPatrick. If they had made half the tackles they missed last year they are a 10-2 at least. Defense was painful to watch.
  6. Glad to hear someone had good luck with their CDP II mine is a lemon. Has been nothin' but a heartbreaker.
  7. Why? The title is general off topic? If you wanna talk College ball I'm in. Go Irish, I can't wait to see what Brian Kelly is gonna do with my boys this year!
  8. Absolutely, positively what Volzfan said. You have to send it to an FFL in his home state that will then do the paperwork for him. You can meet in KY to do the paperwork if it is a longgun. If it is a pistol it must be done in Ohio.
  9. Only thing out of the ordinary I put in mine is a stapler to put up targets at the range.
  10. You just gotta practice. 642 is a great gun snubbies just take some gettin' used to.
  11. Invest in a good holster up front. Save yourself the drawer full of crappy ones like I have.
  12. I personally don't care what their stance on guns may be. They saved my cousins life when she was 7 and was diagnosed with a rare form of lukemia. They have a pass with me because I have seen first hand how much good comes out of that orginazation. I applaud you for your efforts to support them and I will look to you first for any of my future training needs.
  13. I mixed some 9s in with some 40s once. Fired fine but as stated earlier had a failure to feed afterwards. Nothing dramatic. Glad it wasn't the other way around though.
  14. That's great!
  15. Even more shocking is that you went to Wal Mart and expected some level of customer service.
  16. Held one of the SR9c the other day. Have to say it is a good feeling little gun and I think Ruger did a great job putting together the little package that comes with it.
  17. I had a 1989 Pontiac Sunbird. Bought it off a guy for $1500. It was all I could afford at the time.
  18. You wanna use one distasteful action to justify another? The point is that it is all in poor taste. I personally hate Bill Mahr. If memory serves me correctly he said some things about the Pope that were worse than this. His only real tactic is to get in the headlines by pushing the envelope.
  19. I had a 1988 Cherokee with an in line 6 that was a manual transmission. It had 232,000 miles on it when I traded it in on my Tacoma. Great vehicle.

    Glock 27

I have a 26 that I carry in a Comp-Tac Minotaur. It is one great holster.
  21. That's pretty awesome!
  22. Thank God he didn't get his hands on a 10mm! That weapon really will bend the time-space continuum. It is so powerful it has been known to rip open wormholes with the right loads.
  23. Red Bull, Pepto, and Condoms... Hell boys I call that a slow Tuesday with my wife!!!!

    HBO "Pacific"

Starts March 14th. I'm pretty excited to see it. About the only thing HBO does well is these mini series.
  25. I will certainly be giving this fella a visit when I get some more free cash.
