All the way until February?!!!!!!!! I hate these split seasons!
-
They are pulling out all the stops tonight!
-
Is Tyrese Cutty from The Wire? If so this dude is about to be playing two of my favorite characters in shows.

After watching the clinic that Yeldon and Lacy put on last night I'm excited to see that matchup with our front 7. I'm also excited to see how well ND's backs and QB can run on Bama. There were a few times last night that I thought GA could have moved the chains with a mobile QB. No kidding though, Cooper is a beast! He worries me against our cornerbacks. All that talk about Lee from usc being the best receiver ND would see is a lie, Cooper is the real deal!

Ha! This is awesome! I suppose it is now 100% accurate to call these knives "bombproof".
Thanks Brad, this season has been a long time coming. I know a lot of people who root for ND and it is great to share the season's success with them. I have been in a group of 20 or so guys for about 15 years or so. We are basically an email based message board. We all met on an old AOL ND fan board back then. At some point it became about sending emails so as to not have to deal with trolls. A few of the guys went to ND, a couple played ball there, one guy went on to the NFL. One guy is a sportswriter. I think our ages are from 20 somethings to a couple of guys in their 70's. We lost a gentleman last spring named Layden. I wish he was still alive to enjoy this year. I also wish my Dad's mental state was better as well. I am not sure he really knows what ND has accomplished so far this year. For me this season is a tribute to Layden and my Dad even if they aren't here or knowing whats going on. ND made a great hire in Bryan Kelly. Like UT is finding out, hiring the right coach is not an easy task. Kelly is laying a foundation like Saban has done that helps ensure success for years to come. ND went from Lou Holtz to a lot of guys qualified to be a head coach but none of them could get it done. Kelly has the ability and drive to field teams that can contend. I fully expect to be in the hunt again next year.and the foreseeable future. Though there is no telling how the ball will bounce and how the calls will go. The foundation for success has been laid. I hope it can come to fruition this year. Regardless of who wins or loses I hope it is all left on the field in the hands of coaches and players. No crap or blown calls. Just a hard fought game with one team coming out ahead through their efforts. It ought to be a helluva game.
This! So much this! I used to love watching the games when I was a kid with my Dad and uncles! It has been a rough road since Boston College hit that last minute field goal in '93. I'm just glad to see them playing sound football again, it feels like Kelly is building a program that will be competitive for the next several years. To be honest, I think they are a year ahead of schedule here. Looking at their schedule, even now on the back end, I still think if they were a 10 win team this year they got a helluva coach in Kelly. To be playing for the title this year is icing on the cake. Especially in Teo's senior year. I believe that is a fine young man that deserves every good thing he gets after the year he's been through. Go Irish! Beat Bama!

That's true. Going from unranked to the season they've had was a helluva ride! Having said that, I do like the way they match up with Bama.
Your avatar suggests you may not be seeing the situation rationally. - OS
You caught me! I'm wildly, unashamedly, biased!
-
I think it's gonna be a much better game than people will give Notre Dame credit for.
-
Yeah. That was rough. We are about to watch Bama start to pour it on in the seond half.

Doesn't he also have another smoking hot daughter?
For the record, it's not typically the class just after the championship that you see the recruiting bump, but the following year's class. Too little time to make up grounds in relationships immediately after the championship - NSD is ~ one month later. Regardless, ND should have great recruiting classes in the near future.
Generally yes, this is the case. There are still a few recruits that are on the fence between ND and usc, and some other schools. ND has a top 5 class as it is, 2 or 3 top recruits in the right places this year could push that closer to the top spot and be a monster haul. Especially if they were top talent in secondary and a top running back.
-
The Irish were recruiting at a high level before this run, and the win over usc. I'm excited to see what happens after the Championship game running up until national signing day. If they steal a few recruits, especially from usc, in the right places they could have a monster recruiting class as well.

I was in Columbus,GA this morning and had to stop and get gas on my way in to my appointment. In my work I am often in the Industrial side of town and there was a line out the door of the gas station of locals buying tickets for this thing. If I drop 10 bucks on a ticket here or there I don't really miss it. These people were literally in line praying to hit this thing and I know 10 bucks means a lot more to them. You just don't see that on the nicer sides of town.

This season has gotten incredible. I really like that they use the books as only a loose guideline so you really get a whole different story.
-
I love it. Is it that hard just to let somebody in?
-
I went with the Smith 442 solely because I'm a little fella and it fit great in my pocket in a remora holster. The LCR was just a bit bigger. I have been very pleased so far with the little Smith. And my wife can shoot it just fine.

What. An. A@@hat.

That is great!
Alabama will destroy Notre Dame.
Oh I know...just like Michigan St was going to, and then Michigan, and then Miami, and then Stanford, and then Oklahoma was going to, and then it was USC. See a pattern this year? All Bama has to do now is get past Georgia and we'll all find out together. I think you and everyone else will be surprised to find that the Irish defense can keep them in a game with anybody. It will be a better game then what you think, and the Irish have been finding ways to win dogfights all year long.
Another prime example of how hard it is every week in the SEC. I'm not being a smarta**, but I really want to know. Did Notre Dame play anyone ranked in the top ten the day they played?
MI St was top 10 when they played. MI was somewhere around the top 10 when they played. Then you had Stanford and Oklahoma was ranked no. 8 when they played. I also think BYU was a top 25 team when they played. All in all now they beat 9 teams that ended the season bowl eligible. Not really a slouch of a schedule. Hey Crimson...how does crow taste this time of year!
-
Hilarious that when this thread started it was all about the Irish no longer being relevant. Well.......Go Irish!!!!!!!!!!!
-
You're already at such a disadvantage carrying a 1911 why would you want to further your disadvantage by not having one in the pipe! I kid, I kid!
-
I normally hate the way these turn out, but that looks good.
-
Irish! That is all.
