  1. Just saw that too Chuck. I really dig their style. Time to pressure the gun manufacturers for the same consideration.
  2. Agreed all the way around guys.
  3.   I haven't seen Glock make any such statement yet. I have been on their page urging them to do so though. I saw the ad Magpul put out today. It seems they are fully committed to leaving the state if this goes through. If they do that I can guarantee I will never buy anything that isn't a pmag again. They will earn my loyalty as a consumer to no end.
  4. Some of the things I saw online and on some social media sites after this happened were truly disgusting. Along the same lines and some even a little more disgusting. People that think like this are twisted and have shown they are willing to exploit any tragedy, and use any coffin as a soap box, in order to push their agenda. They are truly shameless and disgusting wastes of oxygen.
  5. The logistics of moving a manufacturing operation like Magpuls would be a nightmare for sure. I don't think anyone expects them to be able to accomplish this overnight. One thing they would have going for them is the highly competitive environment of attracting business to communities right now. Depending on what they negotiated they may be able to offset some of the costs of relocating. They have backed themselves into a pretty tight corner though, and I respect the stand they have taken. I am interested to see where they go from here.
  6. http://issuu.com/nssfpublications/docs/saratogapoliceassociation_letter?mode=window&viewMode=singlePage   Good read, great response.
  7. We're screwed.
  8. Good for them. They'll still never get a penny of my business.
  9. Correct. I should have been more specific. But do you really think there's a chance in hell it doesn't get past the Democratic controlled house and senate and wind up signed into law by the democrat govenor?
  10. I'm partial to this http://otherpeoplestshirts.com/item/gun-coexist-light-t-shirt/LetsCoexist/476334042.html
  11. They passed the bill late last night. Once the bill is signed into law this week I guess we will see if Magpul really meant it.
  12. Indeed.com. Check it out. Also, if you don't have a profile on LinkedIn you should. Recruiters and job postings all over that place.
  13. I dig your style Greg! And don't think that hasn't crossed my mind.    I would call the condition of the Winchester good to very good. The stock looked great, there was no pitting, but I don't know what the throat or muzzle erosion was.
  14. I am thinking about picking one up. Mostly because it is one of the last guns I don't have that I really just want and they seem like they are getting harder to come by. Tell me everything I should know. I have been poking around on the CMP and their forum, but I thought I would tap into the wealth of knowledge here too.    It's between ordering a service grade HRA from the CMP for 625 or buying a Winchester with a bayonet from a buddy of mine for 1300. What do you guys think?
  15. I really think they'd be happiest in Chattanooga. We have the fastest internet in the nation. We are close to the Ocoee, and the mountains. We are right in between Nashville, Knoxville, and Atlanta. And we are about as far away as you can get from Memphis in this state!
  16. I wrote them off in '08. They have done nothing to redeem themselves this go round. $100 pmags and this. I hope they go under.
  17. This has been how I start my days for the past few months. Let's keep it up.
  18. They did the same thing with ammo prices in '08. Hate to see a nice local shop do this because it really pisses me off.
  19. There are millions of 18-21 year olds in this country that are just now paying attention to, or being exposed to this debate. There are a fraction of those that will look for information to help them form an opinion for themselves. The first place they will go is google and begin scouring the internet. This is the future of our gun rights. If you want them to come here and see us talking about spies and enemies and wars and you think that is the best way to get your opinion across to these kids then by all means carry on. I just don't think it helps us in the court of public opinion.
  20. Agreed. Which is why I never said compromise with them. I'm as tired as anyone of their infringements on our rights. But unless you are comfortable with the 50+% tuning into 55% and then into 65% I'm just asking that we tone down the rhetoric right now. I firmly believe that popular opinion turning against a fundamental right is exactly what we have the Bill of Rights for in the first place but I see no reason to turn away people that could be on the fence about this issue simply because we want to sound like internet tough guys here. If someone is looking for information I would prefer they come here and see well reasoned, sensible conversation, that's all.   I'm with you, I want no further infringements on my right to keep and bear arms. Draw the line in the sand. Done. But, unless you just want to have your opinion marginalized from the get go we need to be able to effectively articulate why we feel the way we do  to our fellow Americans who may still be on the fence and could potentially be come future owners/NRA Members/Members here. All this "war" "enemy"  talk does is reaffirm what they might have been told by the Piers, Bill Mahrs, and Rosies of the world.    It's just a thought though.
  21. The article is crap. Completely agree guys. But, can we please be a little more cognizant of how we phrase the titles of these threads and how we talk right now. If someone is on the fence and comes here to look for information we are giving them the exact picture the MSM is telling them to look for when we use words like "enemy" "spies" and "war".   I know this isn't going to be a popular point of view, but we really need to be aware of how we present ourselves right now. We need to take great pains to come across as the reasonable, reserved, rational side of this debate and not give fodder to the idea that gun owners are right wing extremists. Just something we need to be thinking about right now if we want any hope of having reasonable debate about this issue in the MSM.
  22. As a former wrestler who still very much loves and follows the sport, I find this decision disgusting. I don't even have the heart to list all the other stupid sports that are staying in favor of one of the original sports in the Olympics and one of the oldest sports known to man.    This is the most clear sign to date that he world is going to hell in a hand basket. Surely this gets fixed before 2020.
  23. Great message for sure. But I think he has said his kid does not go to Sandy Hook and that has been misrepresented in the media and social outlets. In no way does that take away from this man's message, just wanted to put that out there.
