I actually respect the outright honesty here more than the usual "No one is coming to take your guns away" lies. 

Only good for the serial numbers and information run on that exact transaction as I understand it. 

I just got back. If they're going out of business it sure seemed like nobody told them. I know they're still hurting from their lengthy legal battles but the place was packed today.

Not worth it in my opinion. Way too many documented problems. They wind up being paperweights.

We've still got Benton's in driving distance.

These people will truly stop at nothing to continue to push their agenda for disarming the public. Can you imagine the balls it must take to look a rape survivor in the eyes and tell them statistics aren't on their side and that they shouldn't have a gun because tae kwon do didn't work against a bigger and stronger man. If nothing else these people are impressive in their ability to stick to the agenda, even in the face of real world experience.

    Magpul's official response from the owner has been posted over on TTAG. Seems reasonable enough really. They believe in looking at each Police Dept on a case by case basis because they don't believe in making the blanket statement of cutting off all LE purchases is fair to cops just trying to do their jobs. Of course they are still getting flamed heavily for this decision. I would like to see them say that cops will be forced to abide by the same laws we will be as we all may be forced to face the same criminals. I do however understand that they have already put themselves at significant financial risk by promising to move, and cutting off a rather large portion of their business right before or after the business moves would likely be suicide.    I still very much support Magpul, as they have done more so far in this fight than any other large name manufacturer. Why aren't people screaming form the hilltops to boycott blue label Glocks or Colts right now? Because they haven't stood up and made themselves a target like Magpul has abd I respect Magpul for doing so. 

Just talked to my Dad. Seems they have gone into foreclosure. Sad news as Craig and Dawn are great people and the lawsuit they went through to keep that place open likely was too much for them.

He'd get my vote.

My Dad shoots up there 2-4 times a month. He hasn't said anything, but I'll ask him.

  I sent the paperwork in yesterday. Went with the H&R after the SA Specials sold out. I decided it was time to get off the fence and get one in before those were gone too. Now I've got two months to start stockpiling ammo until the rifle shows up!

How'd his last request for participation turn out for us? I'm not trying to be smart, I honestly never saw the article.

Maybe he was putting the premium on the ammunition he was throwing in the deal! Did you ever stop to think of that?   People are crazy these days. I have noticed a tendency to value your stuff at pre-crazy prices and their stuff at whatever the most ridiculous price on gunbroker is at the time. 

The cost to move will be expensive. But then you factor in the amount of publicity this is generating and you can't make a marketing budget with enough zeroes to buy that kind of good PR. Don't kid yourself, this was a very well thought out move by a very smart company. If they move they will be more than fine. This move could wind up being the smartest thing they've ever done.

I have already been sending emails to Corker about this. I have also posted on his facebook page. He does a lot I don't like, but when it comes to bringing business to Chattanooga this guy has a stellar track record. If you want to find the thread on fb let me know. It would be nice to drive as much public attention as possible to this so they have to notice or respond. Even if we don't get Magpul it would be nice to expose our elected leaders to the possibility of bringing any of these businesses here, as well as showing them how motivated we can be as a group.
