Pretty much how John Sevier TWRA range in Knoxville is run. And you can get flogged for loud talking, too. Really. - OS Makes the range at the North Cumberland wma not seem so bad. A few idiots occasionally and no one seems to know how to take their trash with them, but it's generally not crowded and no range officers to police the place. Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk 2

I would agree with this but I tend to doubt that most gays are abusive. If we as gun owners start getting on the bandwagon of blaming a whole group for the actions of a few we may as well just give up now. Oh wait, this is different. This is for the children. I tend to agree with you. While by no means necessarily an accurate representation of the entire gay population, the few I've known and had as coworkers have been honest and genuinely decent people. I wouldn't be concerned in the least if one of them happened to be a scout leader. Just wish some would stop advertising it. Gay? Straight? Fine by me. I don't care. I really have no need to know.

Yes. Personally I wouldn't ride without one. Cheap insurance for when you fall and not really any downsides to wearing one. .

I considered doing that too and using the road tires when cruising the neighborhood. In the end, I figured it wasn't worth the expense since I intend on doing most of my riding on the trails when the weather is cooperating. Here's the bike I picked up: http://www.trekbikes.com/us/en/bikes/mountain/sport/29er_sport/mamba/

Hopefully this doesn't have to degrade into a "I'm a cyclist" vs "I hate you bicycle people" thread.. First, Jesse - Congratulations on the weight loss! Working on that myself.. I just recently picked up a new mountain bike after not having ridden a bike in 15 years or so. The weather hasn't been cooperating, but I have managed to put a few miles on it around the neighborhood and even hit the trails a few times. I find that I enjoy cruising down the trail much more than riding around my own neighborhood. I get to enjoy the outdoors, get away from the hustle and bustle of the daily grind, and get some low-impact exercise in at the same time. What kind of bike ya got?

Fillers and chit are much cheaper than actual...food. Probably extends the expiration date a bit too (which adds even more $$ to the company's coffers)

I switched to "natural" almond butter. More expensive than PB but I tend not to eat as much of it. It satisfies the peanut butter craving enough for me.

Gotta love a nice Tundra. I still miss my 09 Tundra 5.7 sometimes, but I caught the Jeep bug again and am enjoying my '12 Jeep JKU. I'd love to have been able to own both though. I put 60k miles on the Tundra in 2 years commuting to work and, other than scheduled maintenance, never had any problems at all.

Take care and have fun this summer!

Uh oh. Mrs. Obama, the Nutrition Czar, won't be happy about this at all. Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk 2

I've had great luck with the lights from Greg McGee Engineering. They're made overseas but Greg is awesome to deal with and loves talking flashlights. He's the only US distributor/warranty provider for MTE lights. He's a gun guy as well. I currently own 3 lights from him and all have been great.

They are. All of the "Nashville" market (which includes all the way East to Knoxville) is in process now. They just turned on 4G on my local tower (yes...we just have one in this tiny town). Speeds and data connection consistency are phenomenal. It hovers around 15mbps where the previous 3g data was more like 0.5mbps most of the time. Loving the new LTE network. Wow...so sorry to hear this. I knew him from TNJeeps. One of the good guys for sure. My condolences to his family. I'll be praying for them. David, you have a pm inbound.

No doubt. You can use and abuse that Maxpedition bag all you want and it'll still be as good as new. I was amazed at how truly bomb-proof they're built.

Mako was very responsive to this issue and made a slight design change to fix this. E-Landers manufactured > Feb 2013 are modified to correct this issue. I kept up with it because I had an order outstanding with Mako for some mags. The mags I received, manufactured 3/13, function great in my Daniel Defense and Spikes Tactical rifles.

I've got the same pack. It's made several day hikes. Excellent pack. Sent from my SPH-D710 using Tapatalk 2

I agreed to sell my reloading press. That was probably pretty dumb considering the current price of ammo.

To bring this thread to a close, he was put to rest today. A *huge* amount of thanks and credit to both the local Masonic Lodge and the Campbell County Honor Guard. The Lodge conducted the Masonic last-rites for him last night and the Campbell County Honor Guard saw to full military honors at his burial this morning.

Very true statement right there, David. Thanks for the kind words. The good news is his suffering is over now. He passed away about an hour ago. Ron was a good man. As a child, I learned many lessons on respect, courtesy, and a general sense of always "do the right thing" from him. He was an Air Force veteran and made a career of driving a bread truck until he was no longer able to work. Much of who I am today is thanks to time I spent with him. He will be missed but always remembered. My grandmother is in for a tough time. Dealing with this is going to be tough for us all, but especially for her. On to trying to figure out arrangements over the next few days. Again, I thank you all for your kind words and prayers. His suffering is over and that's a blessing considering the amount of pain he has endured over the past week.

Just thought I'd give everyone an update. My grandfather (Ron) was given 24 hours to live on Friday. Well, he's still with us..much longer than expected. However, at this point he's just receiving 'comfort care' and awaiting the inevitable. He's no longer conscious and hopefully not suffering. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers.

Thank you all for the thoughts and prayers. The support from the "TGO family" means a great deal. He's still hanging in there. No change in prognosis though.

This afternoon I received a frantic call from my grandmother saying that my grandfather was 'dead' in his bedroom floor. Well, he wasn't.. I arrived prior to the EMTs and he was unconscious but still alive. That was the high point of the day.. We've known for a while he had an 'inoperable' pulmonary aneurysm. Well, it burst.. He got out of surgery less than an hour ago. It didn't go well. We're being told he has 12-24 hours left to be with us. He's a good man and practically raised me for the majority of my childhood. If any of y'all are the praying type, send one up for us if you don't mind!

Very pleased upon initial inspection. Noticeably lighter than my Spikes Tactical "ST-15" middy. Even my son can handle it without a struggle. We'll see how it shoots!

Rifle is ready to be picked up..finally. 7 days not counting Monday when they received it since it was late in the day.. Going to head there tomorrow to get it (hopefully)!
