  1. Got a Leatherman Juice S2 multitool, a couple of t-shirts, and some ammo for range plinking. The Leatherman has served well for box/package opening duty today.
  2. tngunstoregmwanted@gmail.com - This address comes back as undeliverable.
  3. .....a thread on TGO where everyone agrees on something. That's 1 and quite possibly the only one we'll ever see. Sent from my SPH-D700 using Tapatalk
  4. With the recent drama surrounding the Oracle acquisition of Sun and their decision to ditch the lead developers of OpenOffice, I switched to LibreOffice. It is essentially a fork of OpenOffice being developed by the previous Sun OpenOffice developers and sponsored by Novell and the makers of Ubuntu Linux. Essentially identical to Oracle OpenOffice at this point, but I expect it will differ as development continues. http://www.documentfoundation.org/download/ Nothing wrong with using either, but I thought I'd add an option to the thread. 5. This is a timely thread. I was/am considering a Del-Ton kit for a budge AR build.
  6. I had one. It performed flawlessly but I ended up selling it. I have a Taurus 709 right now to serve the same purpose. The keltec was definitely not a range gun, but it was 100% reliable. So far the Taurus has been reliable as well. I also think it is somewhat more comfortable to shoot. The KelTec PF9 is certainly not a bad choice for a light weight and easily concealable 9mm.
  7. I've had a chance to shoot one quite a bit, just not in a competition scenario. I'd say the Mini would hold its own quite well. Bulletproof design and quite accurate as they come from the factory. I don't know if you're a "TNPer", but the YouTube user nutnfancy did a video called "Mini 14 against the world." Probably worth watching if you haven't already. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Fk84KLiaa4
  8. Pics from my trip to Cades Cove. http://picasaweb.google.com/jeffcj/CadesCoveGSMNP
  9. Not to hijack the thread, but are you referring to the "Wouxun" brand? I've seen those advertised on EBay before, but I wasn't sure if they were worth the (minimal) cost. If they're of decent quality that is certainly a deal.

    It's Here

This. Never ceases to amaze me how people completely lose the ability to drive when the smallest bit of frozen precipitation begins to fall.
  11. I've been researching the same thing. As far as I can tell, most who have used Del-Ton seem to like their stuff as an affordable option. Hopefully some others will chime in with first hand experience.
  12. KF4VYB here. I don't have a rig at the moment since my HT broke, but still part of the "club" since the late 90s. Go for it. Fun hobby! You'll talk to some interesting and intelligent folks on the radio.
  13. I admit that I have a TGO problem. That's the first step, right? Sent from my SPH-D700 using Tapatalk because I must have TGO with me at all times.
  14. Nice choice! Of course now you'll become an addict. I just wanted one 1911. Seemed harmless enough. Just one Springfield GI 1911... Now I have it and a RIA compact and wouldn't mind having another.
  15. +1 on One Second After. I got it as an audio book from Audible based on some TGO reviews. Great book.
  16. You'll want to download the LiveCD versionOphcrack You should be able to burn the downloaded ISO image to CD (from another PC), put it in the PC you're locked out of and reboot. The system should boot from the CD and load the ophcrack software. In case you have difficulties with ophcrack, "PC Login Now" is another option. PCLoginNow, Reset or Recover Windows NT/2000/XP/2003/Vista Administrator Password. is the software's site and here's a complete step by step tutorial on how to use it.
  17. Yeah, I kept thinking how happy I'd be if Santa brought me one too. Then again, I'll still have unlimited shooting rights to this one for several more years.
  18. Very nice! I have a RIA Compact 1911 and I like it. Just dropped mine off to be Cerakoted. I was curious about the ACT-MAG mag that came with it. Good to know they're okay. I haven't had any trigger time on mine yet, unfortunately.
  19. Several months ago my son (finally!) got interested in learning how to shoot. He's been learning with a Mossberg Plinkster. I told him if he remained interested *and* demonstrated he could be safe, I'd get him something "tactical looking" for Christmas. Here's what I ended up with: Ruger 10/22 Tapco Intrafuse Stock E-Bay muzzle brake To-be-added: a couple of 25rd magazines Some sort of optic. Affordable combo and I think it meets the cool-factor he's looking for. Thanks to Phantom6 for getting me a great deal on the 10/22 and stock.
  20. Wow. Just..wow. I'm generally pretty pessimistic when it comes to my expectations of other people, but that is just wrong beyond belief.
  21. +1 While this just a theory, I think Tapatalk is probably more battery efficient on mobile devices when compared to using the browser.
  22. I was excited when I saw this post. Then I realized I'm on the wrong end of the state. Good luck with the search. I've just started toying with developing for Android, but its a cool platform to work with.
  23. Power off, Remove battery, wait a few seconds, reinsert battery. Power on. Make sure firmware is up to date like Vontar said. I don't have this particular phone, but have my fair share of experience with Android devices in general.
  24. if TGODavid ever decided to bring it back I'd be happy to volunteer to help run the thing. I know what running a forum is like. Managing an online store (even a small one) is even more work on top of that.
