  1. Perfectly legal in Tennessee. Carry as many as you want.
  2. Yes and no. It is perfectly legal. However, I think it is against the company policy of both Fedex and UPS. So, if they know it's a firearm, they will only ship to an FFL.
  3. You'll love it. They're worth twice what Greg charges for em when you consider the quality of his work.
  4. I'll throw in a +1 for Spike's. I bought a ST-15 "LE" middy from them a couple of months ago. No complaints whatsoever. Use the coupon code ARFCOM if you order online or mention ar15.com on the phone and they'll give you 5% off. Not much, but its worth mentioning. I also got a commemorative 9/11 dust cover from them. Adds a bit of personal touch to an "off the shelf" rifle. They have several to choose from.

    Good Deal on XD?

Not a bad deal at all. The XD I had (45C) was a great weapon. I regret selling it, but I caught the 1911 bug and used the cash to deal with the 1911 addiction. I sort of miss the XD though. Why can't we all just get one of everything, eh?
  6. Welcome! The cost for benefactor membership (required for selling in the trading post area) is quite reasonable. TGO is definitely a site worth supporting. Just click on the "premium membership" link at the top of the page for pricing and info.
  7. Have a look at collectinsure.com for firearm specific coverage. Good people to work with and the rates are very very reasonable.

    Android!!

Yep. Samsung Epic (Android) here. I've been very happy with it. Don't forget to download "Words with Friends" on your Android phone. You can play against iPhone or Android users. If you like Scrabble that is...
  9. Welcome to TGO! Some of the shots are "instructor discretion" up to a maximum of 25 yards. The rest are from 3, 7, and 15 yards. Don't worry too much about the shooting qualification. Very easy, even for someone with limited experience.
  10. 18 for possession. 21 or older to purchase from a dealer or obtain a HCP.
  11. Might want to hit up TGO member gregintenn. Just had him make me a custom leather holster for my 1911. Waiting on it to show up, but based on pictures of his work I'm going to like it. Very reasonably priced too.
  12. When I started looking into getting my C&R I definitely had a "Could it really be that simple?" moment. Hopefully I was right. Waiting on my license to show up in the mail now.
  13. For your C&R? No signature necessary. The CLEO (Sheriff) just has to receive a copy of your forms. Drop by and leave it at the office with a note explaining what they are ..or you could just mail a copy.
  14. 7 more pounds gone since my last post in this thread on 2/18. Slow, but it's happening.. 20 more to go.
  15. Wow. Nice. I'd hate to see the price tag on that though.
  16. It's rather dumb..and actually isn't a legal posting I suppose. It's on the wall just after you walk in (past the turnstyle). Kind of mid way up the wall. Not really at eye level even. You have to look up to see it unless you're 8ft tall or so... My last visit was just over a year ago.
  17. Aquarium is posted. I distinctly remember the gun buster sign from my last visit. Interesting thought about that place.. Think about the tanks... Wonder if they could take a shot without rupturing? Imagining the underwater walkway thing suddenly being in the water..Creepy. Anyway, even though it is posted, your kids will absolutely love it if you take them. Definitely a must see attraction.
  18. Prayers for your dad and family, my friend.
  19. Sadly, I only got to inspect it for a minute since I had to get to the office. First impressions are: heavy, well constructed, and quite sharp. Size wise it doesn't differ greatly from my Tenacious. The ZT is a bit wider but not too big for EDC. I was impressed by the lock up. Extremely solid. The cat jumped up and ran out of the room the first time I opened it. Apparently he does not approve of the noise it makes.
  20. I can hope. I look at it as more time to save up for my first C&R purchase.
  21. As the subject of the thread indicates, I decided to get my C&R license. Forms mailed on Friday, 3/4/2011. Noticed this on my bank account on Wednesday, 3/9: 3/8/2011 - POS PURCHASE MERCHANT PURCHASE TERMINAL 444500 ATF LICENSING CENT ER WASHINGTO DC 03-08-11 30.00 Looks like they received my paperwork at least.
