  1. Once you "own" a kindle ebook you can read it on any of your Kindle compatible devices (PC, smart phone, Kindle, etc..)
  2. Yes, you would have to go through an FFL if dealing with a buyer from out of state. For in-state private transactions a simple face-to-face exchange (no FFL) is the normal practice. I've bought and sold several with folks here on TGO. No problems.
  3. Typically there's an audio option on the cable box to configure which audio stream is played. Have you looked through your settings on the box to make sure everything is set to English?
  4. Lol. Nice. I posted a video recently of one of Steve Lee's songs. Apparently he also did a song about Hickok45. Filmed on location at the hickok45 "compound."
  5. I wouldn't insult OSX like that.
  6. For what it's worth, modern Linux distributions have made leaps and bounds of progress in this area. Installing programs is generally not nearly as frustrating as it once was. Are any of them ready to take on Windows or OSX in a fight for the overall desktop OS market share? Sadly, no.
  7. Been using it for a while. The metro interface looks like it was hacked on top of a standard Windows desktop. Very poorly implemented. While I didn't find it difficult to find things in the new UI, it didn't take me long to install ClassicShell and ditch as much of the new interface as possible. From a stability perspective it is OK. My notebook graphics GPU is a bit buggy in Win8 and occasionally causes issues. The fingerprint scanner is also not currently working. Pretty standard issues for a new Windows release.

    Ruger SR9c

I've held an SR9C at the local gun shop. Very nice in the hand. I'd buy one... I just can't get past the excessively large loaded chamber indicator. Seems petty (and it probably is), but that thing just kills it for me.
  9. Sell it yourself instead of to a shop. You'll get much more for it that way.
  10. Very good new song by Steve Lee. If any of you are not familiar with Steve, he's a Pro-2A singer/songwriter from Australia. He's got some good stuff on Youtube. "Who gave you the right?" **Note: There's no language in this that you wouldn't hear on the radio, but there are a couple of words that some very young listeners may find offensive. I'd consider it safe for work, but some may not.
  11. Exactly.. High gas prices somehow = a strong economy...
  12. Heck of a start to the season! Hopefully the fast pace continues for the rest of the season.
  13. I might have been one of those halfway concealing a large frame gun. Lol. Been in there a few times while carrying. I almost always carry a 1911 OWB with a t-shirt over it. Usually it conceals well as long as the shirt isn't too small.

    Boat help

    Another expensive hobby!
  15. Crazy. The view was amazing. Everything seemed to go well considering the feat that was being attempted.
  16. I also find that the jeans from Duluth Trading work well. They're also quite indestructible.
  17. My local ffl has one in the case for $549. So tempted....
  18. I've had em all.. Linksys's newer stuff is garbage...at least that's been my experience. Netgear's consumer class equipment seems decent. Most recently I've been using a Buffalo N450. It features the open source DDWRT firmware that has been rock sold on every device I've had it on. This one: http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B005CSOE1G/ref=aw_cr_item_title?qid=1349475181&sr=8-1
  19. So sorry, David. You and your family will be in my prayers.
  20. The Lafollette Walmart has had those in stock fairly consistently for the past few months.
  21. Very very true words right there. I admit to having arguments with my dumb cat, but he starts them. I'm alone at home a lot since my son spends half his time with his mother. During those times the cat is my only pal. He's alright...for a cat. At 18lb he's more like a small brown bear lumbering around the house. I'm a dog person, but living in a high traffic area and not having a fence makes dog ownership impractical since I refuse to tie one up outside for any length of time. Pets are companions like no other.

    Vols-Gators

I hear this all the time at work (Texas-based company). The real UT was founded in Knoxville before Texas was even a state.
  23. I carry a C3-907 170 lumen single AA light from Greg McGee Engineering. $25 and I have a 10% coupon code around here somewhere that never expires. I also bought a 1,000 lumen MCG33 from Greg. That's an awesome light. Super bright and still relatively small.
