Excellent! I love reading this type of stuff. I read Adrian's Undead Diary and the Union Creek Journal. This looks like something I'll enjoy as well. Thanks for sharing.

Free trigger kits. And the winners are......

1. Thanks for the opportunity! Very generous! -
How have you reacted personally? Bought guns? Mags? Ammo?
jcj replied to hipower's topic in General Chat
Panic buying? Eh, not really "panic." I did buy a Ruger Mini-30 and a couple of 20rd mags for it yesterday. Not a panic-purchase really, but I guess it was a somewhat prudent decision to add another semi-auto and "high cap" mags to the collection. -
Who is out shopping tonight, what are you carrying?
jcj replied to tennessee01tacoma's topic in General Chat
Had to risk a trip to Walmart tonight for groceries. Carried my Springer LW Champion 1911 in a Lobo Gunleather OWB holster. Walmart was a crowded place full of last minute shoppers. Ammo case was bare. Successfully retrieved required grocery items. -
If you paid by CC you will be fine, max you can be out is $50 I think.
The $50 liability does not apply in situations where you still have physical possession of your card. Only if the card was physically lost or stolen while in your possession. $0 liability for online transactions with Visa/MC.

lol. Thanks strick. That brought back memories from my teenage years. I was going to look up that horrid Hanson song that was popular in the 90s, but I couldn't bring myself to type the name in the search bar. Therefore I'm going to cheat and skip into the 2000's.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K38xNqZvBJI and some late 80s.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tbNlMtqrYS0
We had bought 2 vehicles form Reeder Chevrolet in Knoxville within the last 5 years or so..One was a Chevy Avalanche and Chevy Silverado..NEVER had a problem with their service department.. Never.. for one minute did we think we where taken advantage off. Always nice and very accomodating. bend over backwards to get our truck towed when we had a minor problem.. prices are very good for stuff we had to have fixed.. got a free rental out of it.. Prolly wont go anywhere else in the future
My grandparents have bought two vehicles there. Reeder has always taken great care of them.

Several years ago I ran a small retail computer store. I was in need of some marketing material (banners, signs, pens... whatever) for some of the products we sold. Called up Intel. I was basically told I wasn't worth their time to talk to since my anticipated sales volume was too low. Called AMD. They sent two huge boxes of everything AMD branded I could have wanted... completely free of charge. T-shirts for our employees, pens, banners, stickers, posters, mouse pads, etc. The person I talked to explained that they were happy to support small businesses and how glad they were to have us selling AMD based systems. Been using AMD in my personal systems ever since. Are they always the best offering available ? No. But they won me over as a customer in another way. Sent from my SPH-D710 using Tapatalk 2

I saw Hershel on an X-Files rerun. I don't remember which episode but he was playing a minister preaching to some inmates in a prison.

I just finished installing CM10 beta 2 on two Epic Touch phones. If you would like a write up on all the steps I'd be happy to send you something. Sent from my SPH-D710 using Tapatalk 2
@jcj The way I read/understand the TN permit law is after your first renewal (2nd license) you have to take the course again (after 8 years)...does that sound correct? I also thought I was going to have to take the course (again) in TN to obtain my new TN conceal license. In OH, I think once you have your CCW (after taking the NRA course, etc...) you only have to renew the license, no need for a "refresher".
No recurring training requirement at all. As long as you keep paying your $50 to renew the state of TN is happy.

I'm running out of patience for my Yugo Tokarev. I am posting this in hopes that someone on TGO has worked on one and has some words of wisdom. Since I purchased this thing in 2011 my Yugo Tok has been plagued by the trigger not resetting after each shot. In the Tokarev action, the trigger pushes straight back and "slides" down and back up on a trigger spring during recoil. Mine isn't resetting.. After each shot the trigger is tilted in the action and is locked up until I reach up the mag-well and push up on the trigger to re-seat it. I have replaced...everything. I put a new hammer assembly, new trigger spring, and a new recoil spring in the gun. Same problem. I tried removing the thumb safety since that is known to cause problems. Same issue. Two different mags, shooting without the grips installed... All the same problem. I've been tempted to just buy another one (that hopefully works) and seeing if I can find any differences. What am I missing? These guns are so simple in design I feel dumb for not being able to get this one running.
I am not especially up for taking the course again, since I did it just a couple years ago...kinda BS for TN to require one to have to do it so often if you ask me. I don't see much changing in "rules" of gun safety and so forth I guess. Any ideas whats coming?
It should be just that easy. I expect you'll receive your permit. Maybe I'm misunderstanding the statement I quoted above (about taking a class "so often." ) It's a one time thing here. Take the course then just renew your HCP every 4 years for $50. Oh, and welcome to TN!
Did you check for same at the other two ranges ?
Never made it up to the other ranges today. I meant to go up there and look as I was leaving, but I forgot.

Just got back from Royal Blue. They took away the trash cans on the 50yd range. Oddly enough the range was cleaner than it has been in all my recent trips up there.
The Remington UMC bulk pack ammo is notoriously weak and will not cycle these pistols reliably. The standard load for these is the NATO-spec 124gr cartridge. Try some Aguila or S&B 124gr and see if it still fails to cycle reliably. The sights are also calibrated for this load. A weak 115gr cartridge would shoot low.
I'll bring my own thread back from the dead. I can confirm the above as truth. This P1 has shot reliably with everything...except 115gn Remington UMC. Tried some in it today...jam, jam, jam. Definitely sticking with the 124gn ammo. Sent from my SPH-D710 using Tapatalk 2

Yup. Been installing custom ROMs on my droid devices since the first generation of Android phones. I usually have a new phone less than 24 hours before I start tinkering. Sent from my SPH-D710 using Tapatalk 2
