I appreciate the backing of some of ya'll. If this is the way this forum is, then they might as well ban me too. But, since I just paid for the premium membership today to be able to post an ad, and didnt even get to post one complete ad (that in no way violated any rule I read ), then I do want my $20 refunded accordingly. If it can be resolved and we can move on (and with my ad), i'd like to stay.

I apologize, did not see that rule about speaking with the mod in private. Had I seen that, I would have waited for him. But, can I get the name of the one above strickj as a conversation with him will be very one sided as he is boss and obviously disagreed in the first place. Maybe another mod will see it different. He didnt PM me. I pm'ed him to ask why? He posted this in the thread: "This thread is closed due to the recent thread here. It is illegal to buy and sell for profit w\o an FFL. I would advise not to post about this type of activity publicly in the future. " (I am assuming this refers to me stating the deal I got on it the day before, then trying to trade it at a higher value) How is that wrong? I just want some clarification and if there is no issue, my thread reopened.....

I appreciate the response. I did not want to get banned for questioning this, just wanted to see what I did wrong. I didnt want to bust strickj out, just figured it would be best for me to go to someone else as strickj obviously thought I did something wrong. To strickj: I meant no harm, no hard feelings, I just do not agree that I was in the wrong and I PM'ed you to see what I did wrong.

I was not trying to "retail" tho. If you read the thread that strickj attached as the reason for my post being closed it states that I was looking at a gun at a good deal, I bought it, and hated it. I then decided to get rid of it for something I liked. I might understand if strickj had PM'ed me and said "hey, don't retail stuff, I see that you just bought and are trying to sell quick, just letting you know". But, why would I post a thread that I was buying at a good price and then turn around and try and get rid of it If I were "retailing". And my ad states "WTT/"maybe sell"......

Im not trying to "call out a mod". Im just confused.... Im not trying to sell for a quick buck, im trying to trade for something I like based on what I percieve as the value... I know I paid less than that for it, but I did not think I had to sell/trade for that. I realize the fast turnaround from when I got it, but I hate it.

I had a thread in the classifieds for a Kimber. It was closed by strickj. He said it is illegal to buy and sell handguns for a profit. How is what price I paid relevant? If I got a good deal on a gun from a friend, and later decide to get rid of it, I have to sell or trade it for what I paid for it? So, lets say I pay $100 for a glock, I later want to trade it, I have to trade or sell it for $100, not market value! i would like this reviewed by someone other than strickj. thanks

Not a 1911. What I meant is id rather have a Double action Sig with a decocker to where I can carry it loaded and decocked with a heavy first trigger pull.

See, I am more of a loaded and decocked carry type.....

I just dont like the idea that if it is decocked, a stressfull situation, I cant pull the trigger and it fire. I have to rack or cock it. And I think its a little heavy for carry. Im looking for a dual purpose gun. Nightstand (besides my tactical 12g), and carry. Yeah, all I could find was some 230gr.

Well, I pulled the trigger and now here she sits: (but, I might add that it will be traded or sold before long. I just do not like the recoil or feel like I thought I would.) I like the Night Sights though. I like all the papers and box/extras. And I bought an 8 rd mag to go with it. Wish I liked it......... Oh, and I cant stand the single action only crap!!! It is about 6 months old bought new and traded in at my local dealer. It has the internal extractor. Thanks for pointing that out, I just called and asked.

I have always wanted a 1911, but always been afraid of the .45 recoil. I have shot one .45 and it was a taurus 24/7 .45. The recoil was dreadful. I have a chance to buy a Kimber TLE/RL II with night sights and 4" barrel. From research, its a good price (under $800 with less than 25 rounds thru it). Any opinions on the make, model, etc? P.S. - If I just cant get used to the .45, will it be hard to trade/sell?

If I dont get rid of it, I will probably order a slug barrel and an 18" barrel for it. One for deer (as I only get 50 yard shots at home), one for turkey, and one for home defense.

It is a 24" ported barrel with the accu choke system.

I cant wait to try it out. But I will end up trying to trade it off before I even use it. LOL

I got the Knoxx (recoil reducing) Stock in today and the pistol grip. Good mail day! Cant wait to run some shells thru it! Here are some befores and afters:

I am tac'in out a mossy 835. It is drilled and tapped and I am looking for a good red dot scope. Either that or an eotech type sight. I want to stay under $100 if possible. Also, if it is a red dot, do they make any with magnification?

Cant wait to get my Knoxx in. Maybe I wont mind poppin off a few boxes at a time with the reduced recoil. It was never an enjoyable time shooting #4 shot, Buckshot, or the likes.

In my opinion, it will handle it, but cause increased wear issues. Unlike others, I am not a fan of all the + hype. Standard rounds have been making BG's dead for years, same with a .45 fmj in a 1911. No need for a JHP in my opinion. Now, of course this is my own Let me add I am by no means an Ammo or Gun expert.
