  1. Thanks for the great turnout. I was expecting 8 people, wound up with 30. Had to keep setting up stages to get everybody shot thru. You new IDPA members, remember to get your IDPA number to me so I can post your score with IDPA.
  2. I upgraded and tweeked my loadmasters and have no problems with them. Once you learn their special issues, they run like clockwork. I load several thousand rounds a year on mine. I would agree that they are not for someone who lacks a good undersanding of mechanics, tinkertoy mechanics that is.
  3. Gallatin Gun Club will host the IDPA Classifier February 11th. Start time is 9:00AM. Non-member fee is $15, Members is $10. $10 for each additional gun you shoot. 90 rounds min. bring extra.
  4. Also you can shoot without a holster if you do not have one. Put all your stuff in a gun bag, I will provide a table and you can shoot from low ready with a 2 second pentaly. No low ready pentaly for rifle.
  5. The January match will be 1/14/12. All steel, 3 stages of muilti-round steel and one with 12 steel plates at the shoot house. 92 round min. bring 150-200. Match start time is 9:00. $15 for non-members, $10 for members. We will have classes for any pistol, Stock, open, limited or .22. You may shoot this match with a .22 rifle our a pistol cal. rifle, (9mm, 40s&w, .45, .45LC, .38 special ).
  6. If you are comming down Ricky, I'll keep your cup with me.
  7. Maybe the blond will be back to set the mood.
  8. Sigbear, Bring that sig out and make it happy. Anybody may shoot the Postal Match, only IDPA members will be sumitted for scoring at HQ.
  9. Gallatin Gun will host the 2011 IDPA Postal Match on Dec. 10, 60 rounds min. We will also have a shotgun side match with around 20-25 rounds.
  10. The first thing I always do is stow my mag. That night I stowed my light first, not the mag. Then I operated the slide and reloaded the chamber and popped one into the back berm. Then their is that moment of, oh crap. The rest of the night I made sure I looked down into everybodys gun to make sure the mag was out at the show clear order. Just one of those things one has to do at a night match. The lesson is that I did not give Greg a chance to look into the gun, Too fast on my part, got me DQ'ed.
  11. I tried to take Greg out, but he moved out of the way.
  12. And Charlie won that one, I believe he is ready for sharp shooter.
  13. I believe it was the blond that was following Mike around that did it.
  14. A postal match is a 4 stage match with the COF's set up the same from a set of printed discriptions and shot by the different clubs. The scores are compiled from all over the world. A fun way to see how you shoot complaired to the rest of the shooters. The COF's are posted at the IDPA website. I'll bring it up this Saturday and get a feel from the shooters present on with way to go. I will know way before the December match and post it here.
  15. Be their by 7:30. FYI Stage 3 will be shot from very low cover, on the ground!!!!!!!!!
  16. This Saturday, 11/12/11, Gallatin gun will host a 4 stage IDPA match, 64 round min, bring extra. All IDPA rules apply. Start Time is 9:00AM. As always gate will be closed. Wait for a member and we will be doing gate checks. Fees are $10 for club members and $15 for non-members. Also I am thinking of doing the IDPA postal match with a shotgun side for December, Comments.
  17. Mark, we have a cup for you
  18. If anybody happens to see 2 cases of IDPA targets laying on the side of the road between Dickson and Nashville, drop me a line.
  19. I should be able to work this Saturday on set up
  20. Working of scores today, hope to be finished by afternoon. Robert
  21. I don't have any high round counts for any one weapond except Rifle at around 20. Most pistol is 16 and under. I do have the pistol or shotgun on steel rule this match. I plan on being at the range by 1:30 on Friday and working until around 6:00. Feel free to come out and help setup.
  22. We will do gate checks until 9:00. Also I will be at the range Friday afternoon setting up for the match.
