  4. Gallatin Gun Club will host a 3-gun match on Oct. 13th. This is inplace of the regular IDPA match usually held on that day. 60 pistol, 40 rifle and 40 shotgun. 5 stages. No slugs or buckshot needed. Normal match fees of $15 for non-members and $10 for members. Start time is 9:00AM. As usuall, gate will be closed, we will do gate checks to make sure everybody is in. Youth will be permitted to use .22 for pistol and rifle and 20 or .410 gauge shotguns. We will use IMG rules for this match. Their is an option for one shot kills or any two hits on target in IMG. We will have divisions for iron sight, scoped and open rifle. Regular and heavy metal. Bring your combo out and will put it in some division. If you don't have enought equipment, come anyway, I'll have extra.
  5. Hognut is having a pro come in to teach a class 2nd weekend of November, It would be a good start to learning this sport.
  6. Well I don't know if that is what John wanted, I checked it 3 times, SSP score in the 119 second range, that puts him in Expert, Now he has to play with me and Greg.
  7. Every effort will be made to hold the match on Saturday morning, weather people are calling for clearing skys tomorrow morning after the front passes.
  8. Gallatin Gun will host the IDPA classifer this Saturday Sept. 8th. Start time is 9:00AM, try to be at the range by 8:30. Match fees are $10 for club members and $15 for non-members. Youth is $10. Each gun you want to shoot will incure a seperate fee. Match is open to all. Gate will be closed, just wait for someone to come and open it or follow a member in. Round count is 90
  9. I do as Greg does. My dominate eye is set up for the frt. sight, the other for down range. Brain goes nuts for about 5 mins, then its ok. I have drove home and not noticed I was wearing the range glasses.

  13. Gallatin Gun Club will host an IDPA match on August 11th. 5 stages, 100 rounds, 12 strings of fire. This will be a great match for new shooters and seasoned pros alike. Revolver freindly. It will consist of various limited strings of fire from different position, including prone. Stage 1 is 3 strings of fire from around the "SUV" 18 rounds total, 9 targets. shooting from low cover, thru the window and from prone. vickers scoring. Stage 2 is 2 strings, 24 rounds, limited vickers. 1st string is 4 targets, two to the body and one to the head. String two is three strong hand targets and three weak hand targets, two shots each. Stage 3 is 24 rounds, three strings, 6 targets, limited vickers. 1st string from 15 yrds., two shots each freestyle. String 2, from 10 yrds, one shot each, strong hand only. String 3, from 5 yrds., one shot each, weak hand only. Stage 4,one string, 16 rounds, vickers scoring. 8 targets, two at each port, 2 shots each using cover from inside the shoot house. Stage 5, 3 strings, 18 rounds, limited vickers. String one, six shots on target while retreating. String 2, six shots on target, while retreating from retension. String 3, 4 shots to the body and 2 to the head while retreating. All strings start one yard off target. No cover garment required.

  15. Good choice. They are giving Glock a run for the money. 9mm is number one in IDPA.
  16. well,Waay to much rain with lightning. This classifer match will be shot on September 8th. Thanks to the 40 who came out and watched it pour.
  17. Rain or shine, the pop ups will be set up. Bring water and a snack.

Scores for IDPA members will be sent to HQ and entered into the data base. If you have joined IDPA and do not have your number yet, I can hold the scores and enter when I have your IDPA number. Non-members are welcome to shoot the match. Normal match fees of $10 for Gallatin members and $15 for non-members. 2nd guns are $10.

  20. If I were not using it for rifle I would use steel. Evil would be setting a no shoot with it.......................... I have an idea........... I need to adjust the COF. Thanks Mark.
  21. Stages one and four will be reshot with rifle as a side match, 30 rounds min. Also did mention that stage four has 2 pistol targets set out to 35 yards.
  22. Gallatin Gun Club will host an IDPA match on June 9th. Set up is 7:00 AM, start time is 9:00 AM. 64 round mim. 4 stages. Match fees are $15 for non-members, $10 for members, $10 for second gun, $10 for child under 18.
  23. Race rigs ok, CDP guns will run in with the SSP guys. CDP will be open guns. Limited guns run in ESP. If no open guns enter, I may split SSP and CDP back to their own divisions. Another hint; Stage 3 will look amazingly like the USPSA classifier stage, Can you count.
  24. Gallatin Gun will host a Freestyle IDPA match this Saturday May 12th. 104 rounds min. 4 stages. No cover or concelment required. Any number of magazines can be carried, 140mm Mags can be run in ESP as well as factory high caps. SSP will have 10 round limit on mags with unlimited number of mags carried. CDP can use 10 round mags. Normal March fees of $10 for club members and $15 for non-members. Set up at 7:00, match at 9:00.
