  1. The scores have been mailed out to the webmaster and those on the e-mail list.  Thanks for the new ear muffs John  Oh yes, the final total was 66. Great!!!!!!
  2. I have them in the truck, they will be posted at the bays in the morning.
  3.  April 13th will be Gallatin Gun Club IDPA monthly match. 60 rounds min needed. Their will be a 2 stage rifle side match after the Pistol match , 34 Rds min. Their is no requirment to shoot the rifle match, it is optional. Any shoulder fired rifle may be used. Pistols for the IDPA match must be IDPA legal. Normal match fees of $15 for non-members and $10 for club members. Set up starts a 7:00AM. Last gate call is 9:00. Their is construction in the area, both on the main road 109 and at the TVA Plant, be careful.
  4. If the specs are correct, it is legal.
  5. 2nd gun will be $10, $25 total. I only charge $15 for 2nd guns on classifier weekends.   Also, their will be no side match this month.
  6. Gallatin Gun will host their monthly IDPA match on March 9th. 62 rounds min. 2nd guns allowed. 4 stages. Set up is at 7:00AM Saturday, Match starts around 9:00-9:15. Match fees are $15 for non-Gallatin members. Match is open to all shooters. Gates will be closed. We will do gate checks until 8:45.
  7. I sent John an E-Mail about my scores. The guys writing down the scores put stage one in the stage six column. I would have liked to run stage 5 in 27.03 however that is the time for stage one, stage five times is the 47.28 shown in stage four on the webpage. It does not change the total, just the stage details. Maybe John will adjust the offical scores to show the corrected scores. I won stage one instead of stage five, those 50 yard runs are hard on this old fat man.    Maybe Mark can make us a graph.
  8. One thing that would help, Have folks start signing in at 5:30. At 6:30 I still had several people waiting in line to sign in. That delayed the start. We need a host/hostest to guide people around. If they need to watch the Armory safety film, get that done and signed off in the gathering area. While the set up crew is prepping the bay, someone can be getting the shooters ready in the classroom.  If we get the other bay, have the set up crew shoot first on stage one. they can move over and prep the other side. This will take a few more people to get done in the time we have. We may have to up the number of match officals that work the match. A group meeting may be in order of the core people to work out details. My safety meeting ran long because of the high number of new shooters last night. It also takes longer to run new shooters thru the COF.
  9. Hey guys, I have 2 jackets that were left at the range Saturday.
  10. Mags are limited to 10 rounds for ssp and esp, 8 for cdp.  Starting with one in the pipe, your have 9 extra rounds.
  11. I bought a full roll of dry cleaner bags, so that should just about stop the rain.
  12. Yes, Gallatin will have the classifer match this Saturday. I have a fresh roll of clear plastic bags on hand in case of rain. Multiple guns allowed, seperate match fee for each gun. Standard fees for this match are $10 for Gallatin Members, $15 for non-members. The IDPA Classifer is 90 round min., Limited Vickers. Set up at 7:00, Match start at 9:00.  Each shooter is allowed to reshoot one stage because of a major screw up, gun malfunction, ect. Reshot score will stand. And Rickey,it is on the 9th.
  13. Calling for rain, bring a raincoat. All the targets are steel. I'll set up pop ups on the non moving stages.
  14. we can test the .30 carbines before hand and see how it effects the head plates. I would guess it would be ok.
  15. oarsman;  I plan on arriving early, ready to help.
  16. Instead of the regular IDPA match, we will have an all steel match. Some stand and shoot with 3 strings each, single strings from cover and the shoot house, all steel.  5 stages, 66 rounds min. Regular match fees of $15 for non-members or $10 for Gallatin members. Course may be shot with pistol, shotgun or pistol cal. rifle. The entire COF will be shot with the same weapond. each additional weapond will require an additonal match fee. Guns, (pistol, shotgun or rifle) will be scored seperate. No steel more than 15 yards out. No prone stages(Mark).
  17.   As for me, Advil is my friend.
  18. I guess I'll have to ban him for hurting the range officers feelings.
  19. I plan on using #2 myself. They will be closer and more head on this time.
  20. December 8th match will be a 4 stage IDPA match requiring 68 rounds min. All IDPA rules apply. A 2 stage shotgun side match will be held after the IDPA match. 25 rounds min, only birdshot needed, targets are steel and clays. Normal Match fees of $10 for members and $15 for non-members, side match is included in fees. Set up is at 7:00, Match should start by 9:30.
  21. Gallatin Gun will host an IDPA style Benefit match for Robert Filidei November 10th. 4 stages, 67 rounds min. pistol. We will also have a 2 stage rifle side match after the pistol match, 44 rounds min. Match fees for this match only is $20 per entry. Side match is included in fee. Set up starts at 7:00, match at 9:00AM. The TVA gates are always closed, follow a member in or we will have people opening the gate from time to time. Robert
  22. I agree with Mark, the angle of the small plates from prone was making it hard to knock them off the stands, First time with those little plates. Next time we will shoot at a more direct angle and closer. Had I known from the first group, we could have changed the stage some. Next time come get me. Also someone had a AP round, I have a nice hole in one of my auto poppers now. Scores have been sent out. Thanks to the guys that helped out. One thought, we should have turned them 180, angled to the shooter. Too late now.
  23. You can roll over on your side, helps.......... Just 6 targets on shotgun on that stage.
  24. I will be at the range Friday afternoon doing most of the set up, Saturday I will staple targets and make final checks. I will need help with clean-up. Also, anybody with a RO card, I will need you. Safety officers will shoot free, see me at the check in or pm me.
