  1. I sent mine in today via Express Mail so I could track it. I took it personally to the CLEO in my city and watched him sign. (He is a friend) I mailed the whole application. Did I do that right? Was I supposed to leave a copy with the police dept?
  2. My name is Rick...here is an action shot, followed by a campfire shot:)
  3. 'Mark' so I can remember...and I'll bring some Smith revolvers, something in a Colt, and definitely a Kimber:)
  4. Ready to buy my 1st NFA items. I am looking for suppressors. I have completed and executed my trust (thanks Mr. Cain) and am ready to shop:) Currently, I have the following in threaded barrels: Sig Mosquito Pistol Sig 522 Rifle Sig 556 Rifle Sig 239 Pistol I have looked at the Browning Whisper as well. Anyone have any advice on where to shop? Brands? Recommendations? Feel free to help:) PMs are welcome if anyone wants to keep recommendations private. I am in Brentwood if that helps in distances. Thanks Rick

    My first AR

Congrats...thanks for taking care of the boys last week at the store:)
  7. Just wanted to drop a note and give some props and a few shouts to the illustrious caveman. College son (22 yo) and friends (also of legal) age were headed to lake from Knoxville for a weekend of guns and boats, not necessarily combined:) I told them to stop by Cavemans store: West Town Wine & Spirits 7319 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, TN 37919 (865) 212-9463 They went in and were greeted by the 'armed infidel' himself. Thanks for taking good care of them and I am sure they will help spread the word about your store. They enjoyde visiting and meeting you and appreciated the good prices....by the way...love the little Ruger Thanks Rick
  8. My 1st show in years...walked away with a nickel Smith snubbie...model 36, no dash...showed the guy he had the wrong box for it and saved 100:) Going back tomorrow after doing some homework tonight...got my eyes on a couple items...
  9. I have one of the Sig522 that came as a set 1 of 2000 with the Sig556 Swat Patrol. I have an eotech on the 556 and it is awesome, just wish I had a magnifier past 50-75 yards. I would like a high quality scope or similar device for the 522. Any ideas? Will a centerfire scope work on this? It has been years since I have bought a scope and I have a Bushnell 3-10 that I played with yesterday and the groups were not as good as when I was playing with an under 50.00 red dot. I was once a competitive rifle shooter and want something that can help me improve my game:) Thanks
  10. I have a SW 'Old Army' Model 2 that has been hanging in the safe with lots of new friends. Can anyone tell me more about it's condition and value? I have no attachment and would sell/trade it if I felt that I was being treated fairly and had a pretty good idea of it's worth. It seems to function well and all the parts move and work. It's serial number is 10449, so it was during the Civil War era. Any info or reputable dealer help would be appreciated. Ihave posted a similar question on the Smith and Wesson forum. Thanks Rick
  11. I shoot with my two 'kids' all the time. Here is my daughter yesterday after I made the trip down to Winchester and HeroGear.... came back with a Sig556 and a matching 522... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sDszkFIGepI
  12. Other side of Franklin Rd from 'Target'....unless that is not the target you speak of
  13. FYI....since the only Drs there are dentists, you may need a new dentist:) If you do, I own my own building in Brentwood and it will never be posted:)
  14. I have had a Nikon Silver 2x on my SW 686 since 1990. I can drive nails with that thing! Definitely not a carry weapon, but an absolute blast to shoot! Also have a RedDot on my Beretta 87 Target 22....makes that baby a breeze to shoot as well
  15. I have had my safe in the garage for 12 years+ now. I have one of the safes from Mark at the 'Safe House' and it has the plug-in rod. Rust has never been an issue. When I moved and built a new house 2 years ago, he stored it for me and then delivered and set it up in my new house. The outside walls are insulated very well, but I do not have hvac in there. Things seem to be fine and I do have the rod plugged in.
  16. Had my West German Sig226 stolen over 15 years ago. Got a call from Metro Nashville Police last summer and they had recovered my gun in a drug bust. The Brentwood officer who worked my burglary back in the mid 90s went and got it and returned it to me. It is a little rough, but seems to work fine. I am actually going to call Sig and see if they will refurbish/check it out for me. I did have the serial number. Because of this thread, I went out to the safe tonight and made a spreadsheet of all my makes/models/ and serial numbers.
  17. Took my class on January 9th in Smithville. Applied on the 11th, printed on the 12th....permit in mailbox in Brentwood on the 16th of February...woohoo! Took my Wally Walk tonight in Smithville at about 11:30. Bought 9mm, CCI 22lr Stingers, and some 357 magnums. They were stocked better than I had seen them in a while. Went by a Mapco in Smithville that stocks ammo. They had 10 boxes of 380 auto...I bought them all:) Now I need to go find a 380 pistol...lol!
