  1. I have the Nighthawk conversion unit with the threaded barrel and it pretty much rocks! You get the feel of the Nighthawk, the great trigger, and the suppression all in one! Love mine Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  2. Shooting any ammo other than subsonic 147 or 158 grain through a suppressed 9mm is not hearing safe, regardless of the gun or suppressor. When shooting 9 or 45 suppressed, most of the noise is from the impact. A 22 into a body of water sounds like a small rock, hardly noticeable. A 9mm sounds pretty loud, like a firecracker when it hits water. A 45 sounds like firework mortar when it hits water. The same can be said for hitting a tree, steel, etc. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  3. Lol....you never know what or when that might be. I am slowly working through things. More nice 22 rifles will be up soon. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    Pac-Lite?

I love my Browning Buckmark Whisper. It seems much more solid than the later Rugers. I have a stainless MK II that I had cut and threaded at 4 1/4". That is a different animal :) Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  5. Buy kahrman's Belgium Browning in the classifieds. You can shoot it all you want and still get all or more than your money back one day. The norinco won't do that. I sold a Belgium grade 1 and a Japan grade 2 a few weeks ago. Regretted selling the grade 2, so I found a Belgium grade 2 to replace it. That will only go up in value. 6. I also use Mother's Mag on stainless. I use a rag wheel on a dental polishing lathe, followed by a chamois wheel and jewelers rouge. On nickel, I use Flitz and some special silver polishing cloths. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  7. Instead of posting guns to sell, I spent the afternoon polishing some stainless girls that are known around here as "keepers" [emoji106] Figured I'd share the results, might want some [emoji41] "Welcome to Tennessee...the patron State of shooting stuff"
  8. 9mm must be the subsonic variety or you will be reaching for the earplugs. 115 and 125 grain bullets are not subsonic that I've found. "Welcome to Tennessee...the patron State of shooting stuff"
  9. This could be a long thread:) 22lr is the best round to suppress. You want a dedicated 22 can. The Sparrow and the Spectre II are probably the leaders. The AAC Elements are very light and quite. Pistols that I suppress the most: SW Model 41 Beretta 87T Ruger Mark II Stainless M&P 22 Compact Browning Buckmark Whisper All these are super high quality guns that are all the more so suppressed. I have had the Walther p22, M&P 22, ruger lite, ruger 22/45, but like the quality of the previously mentioned guns much better. 22 Rifles Browning T-bolt whisper M&P 15/22 Sig 522 Kimber 82G Ruger 10/22 Kimber 82 Cooper 57M Browning ATD 22 9mm Sig 226 M&P HK a USP HK VP9 45 ACP HK USP Tactical 1911 223 AR rifles are quieter suppressed, but still loud. 9mm must be the 158 grain subsonic rounds 45 is by nature subsonic 22 should be either subsonic or standard velocity to avoid supersonic crack 22 high velocity will be suppressed out of really short pistols like the M&P compact Personally, I ended up having several of my high end guns threaded. The Kimbers and Cooper rifles, the model 41, Beretta 87, and the Browning ATD are examples. The Browning A-Bolt that I just sold would have been a great choice. Anyway, sure I am forgetting some. 10. Brentwood has 8-10 hotels at the Old Hickory Blvd exit and in/around Maryland Farms. I think that this far out rates would be ok. The area is very safe, and you are about 10" into downtown straight up I65. You may even get to meet me and buy one of my guns:) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Here are my three girls. Tank, the white Pomeranian, is about 9 and sleeps with me every night. Spoiled rotten. The other two are sisters. And it should come as no surprise that their names are Smith and Wesson. Smith is the sable and Wesson is the black. Otherwise known as my three bitches:)
  12. Don't know the size, but a dentist could take a drill and maybe slot it so a flathead would work. I'd be willing to try.
  13. At the rate I'm selling guns, I feel like Santa [emoji318], but I have a few coming too...which is why I love my C&R FFL 1948 fully engraved K22 and a 1961 Browning Grade II .22 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. This is what I use. It is absolutely the bomb. Only use on stainless steel or titanium. I have multiple suppressors and throw them all in together and let it spin overnight. They come out like new. http://smith-wessonforum.com/reloading/257907-stainless-steel-media-tumbling-info-guide.html Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. "Die Hard" Next to Christmas Vacation the best Christmas movie [emoji106][emoji109][emoji379][emoji318][emoji319] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  17. I already have element 1, element 2, ss sparrow, liberty essence, mite, and spectre 2.... Plus Thompson machine integral for the ruger takedown and an AAC dragonfly for a Buckmark pistol...I'm a pretty big fan of 22lr:) I'm just pumped that I can start SBRing guns now with virtually no wait. Might make a bolt action one too:)
  18. Just spent the afternoon filling out and e-form 1 for an SBR. It looks like it all went through. Should I get the lower engraved now? I am taking the upper off my SW 15-22P and putting it on my 15-22 rifle. What do I have engraved? My trust name and city and state? If so, who in the Brentwood area will do this? Next up, going to have a Buckmark rifle cut down to 10" and threaded assuming this goes smoothly.
  19. Chip, I have the M&P sight pusher and the punches. I put one in my M&P Pro last night and have a couple to put in my M&P compact and my M&P "C.O.R.E." when it gets here Monday. You are welcome to come by the house and we can do them together. You met me at my office a couple years ago and did my trust for me. Rick
  20. Life member here...pm me if I can help out
  21. This would be what you are looking for
  22. A little suppressed bling
  23. CLEO signoffs are eliminated on trusts. Just another reason for having one:)
  24. From your .22 cans. What's your favorite and why? That depends....haha. Seriously, if I had to have only one .22, it would be the SS Sparrow. It is super-wicked quiet, easy to break down with no tools, and works equally well on rifles and pistols. It also does not seem to have much effect on point-of-impact. I shoot a lot of target .22 and use 24-36 power scopes. I have found this suppressor to be very consistent. What is the most user serviceable? That would be the SS Sparrow. But, I have found that the Element cleans up very easily because I just throw the baffles in the dip overnight. As for 9mm can's -- I looked in to Liberty, but I'm currently leaning towards the Osprey due to the flat top. FIgured it would be easier to see over with my PPQ since taller sights aren't available yet (and I don't know if they will ever be available) I have the Osprey in .45. I also have multiple pistons for it. That way, I can use it on my 9mm, .45 and on my metric threaded guns and standard threaded guns. The Osprey is not user-servicable so you would not want to shoot .22 through it. The AAC Tirant45 is one you can clean. I have found no noticable difference in shooting the .45 cans on a 9mm vs a dedicated 9mm can. You can use standard ammo in .45, but you will have to use sub-sonic 9mm to have the 9mm guns perform quietly. Can find much info on the AAC Dragonfly? You won't. Mine is one of about 20. It was a demo model that AAC did in the early years.
