  1. My boss and his wife go to Camden a couple times a year. He speaks quite highly of it.
  2. I'd guess that generally you'll be facing your customers, so moving it around to 4:30-ish should make it nearly invisible from the front.
  3. I hit one of those spinning gopher targets 4 out of 6 shots with my P3AT at about 25 yds. I took my sweet time about it, but I did it and proved to a friend that mouse guns aren't as laughably inaccurate as some tend to think. For the OP I'd suggest one of the 4" pistols. Enough sight radius for good accuracy, but small enough for relatively easy concealment. There's plenty to choose from so pick one that you shoot well and fits your budget.
  4. 3:00 is the hardest spot to conceal with a tucked shirt. A bit further around in either direction might help.
  5. Thats not a very big gun, it oughta mostly disappear. Are you wearing the fairly trim cut clothes that seem to be the style these days? You might also just ask your coworker what he saw.
  6. For people who know what to look for, the belt clips are a dead giveaway. Other than switching to something like J hooks, there's not much you can do about it. Some pics might help.
  7. Agreed, motion sensors can be a hassle, especially with pets. I can't imagine outdoor motion sensors being at all worthwhile. My wife gets annoyed when the wind sets off the outdoor motion lights. If that included a blaring alarm, it'd get disconnected pretty quickly. My parents have indoor motion sensors now and we had them in our old house. At that time, the "solution" was to blind the lower half of the sensor so it would only see things roughly 4ft or taller. Works fine until the cat jumps on the back of the couch at 3am.
  8. Welcome. It's purdy up there.
  9. Glad it was mostly benign. I'd have my wife call it in immediately. They might not get to your house in time, but they might catch the guy at one down the road.
  10. You can send a firearm to an out-of-state gunsmith for repair and they can send it directly back to you. https://www.atf.gov/qa-category/gunsmiths

Same here. I carry her guns way more than she does.
  12. I would guess the one with red is a red bellied or hairy woodpecker. We have a red bellied that hangs under the sunflower seed feeders when we run out of suet. https://www.thespruce.com/photos-of-common-woodpecker-species-4121955
  13. That's what she said.
  14. That's a Downy woodpecker. Never seen that before.
  15. The Vrod is the coolest modern bike HD made. That it was discontinued was telling of the state of HD. Fun memory.... been riding the dragon all day and it's getting dark so one last pass on my way home. I'm tired so not pushing the pace, just rolling comfortably. This tremendous noise comes up behind me, it's loud over my bike and earplugs. Then blinding headlights begin to appear in my mirrors. I thought was the Cobra club that I'd seen earlier. I turn up the wick a little but it's still right behind me. I decide to put my ego in my pocket and let whoever/whatever that is go past. A guy wearing full leathers goes thundering past on a Vrod and lays a shower of sparks into the next corner. No way. I'm on it and it's all I can do to keep up with this guy. Again, self-preservation kicks in and I back off. As i approach the overlook, I see the guy getting off the bike and decide to stop and chat. Turns out he's been a club racer for years, as evidenced by the well worn, '80's gear he's wearing. The rear tire is a shredded race slick with balls of gooey rubber hanging off both sides. The pegs are heat discolored and beveled back so they're maybe 1-1/2" long. The exhaust has a slot about 1/3rd of the circumference ground into it. His comment... "ya know, these things go pretty good once you make a little clearance. "
  16. Everybody needs about 6 bikes... a trials bike, a woods bike, a MX bike, a street bike, a touring bike, and a track bike. And if you're ever over that way, go see... https://wheelsthroughtime.com/
  17. Kinda looks like a 12ga pistol.
  18. I rode this for 10-12 years... ... until I succumbed to the dirty side and got this...
  19. I've never understood trikes. They're terribly unstable when turning or braking. The newer ones with the single wheel in the back and electronic nannys make a little more sense, but wouldn't a convertible be much better?
  20. The lack of ground clearance is one of those things that never made any sense to me. But it'll clearance itself, if you know what you're doing.
  21. My wife thinks its a hickory. A better picture of a single leaf and a branch with several leaves to show if the stems are opposed or offset would help. Any blooms, flowers, or nuts?
  22. The Abbott brothers are reunited. RIP Vin.
  23. I almost got side-swiped by a nice looking one of those a few hours ago. The gent driving it felt the need to take his half out of the middle at an inopportune moment. It was a nice looking truck though.
  24. Lots of options.... The new, slightly downsized Goldwing is really nice. A bit sportier than the behemoth it had become. The Triumph Tiger 800 is even more toward the sporty end. The Africa Twin is nice. The Versys or V-strom in either size are also very capable. Can't really go wrong with one of the KTM's either. Find a demo day or 3 and try a few on for size.
