G10 mades good knife scales, or a handle for most any sort of tool. Does the aluminum plate have any markings?

I can't recall a statute for that. Most of the "proximity" rules are related to hunting and don't specifically address target shooting. I'd wager if you get buy-in from the local Sheriff, you'll be ok.

I had all 4 of mine removed in high school. I went completely under as all 4 were impacted well below the surface. The surgery went fine and they all came out in pieces. The next few days were utterly miserable. It felt like my jaw got pounded with a hammer. They packed all 4 sockets with gauze to help with the bleeding. The blood would clot on the gauze, so changing it pulled the scabs out and made it bleed even more. They eventually healed but it was awful. That said, I'd definitely get it checked out. A friend's mom nearly died from a gum infection. The infection got into her blood and ruined a heart valve. She had open heart surgery to replace the valve because she didn't want to go to the dentist.

Me being me, I built one. It's easy and more fun. Beyond that, no real need to spend big bucks for a name. They're all mostly the same.

I've got chirp but haven't ever taken the time to learn how to use it.

Most of the areas use trunked or encrypted radio, neither of which I can get on my radio. There's an app for that.... I listen on my phone.

A HCP is a defense for breaking the law, not an exemption from the law.

There's a eutopian 1500 acre farm for sale on my wife's side of the family. It's for sale because the 4 siblings that currently own it don't expect their 9 combined (adult) children to be able to share it, and none can afford to buy the others out. It's truly sad. If we hit the powerball, it'll be mine.

People always complain about the noise. It's doesn't matter who was there first. I had people near me who shot in their yard. I only started complaining when the bullets started bouncing off my house. Took the sheriffs deputies a few tries to sort it out, but they did.

That's more than I thought, but assuming you're referring to Nashville metro, the cost of living it pretty high too.

It's oil and water. There's more than a few cops who've got a chip on their shoulder about being (dis)respected. They tend to be forced to interact with people predisposed to disrespect authority. It's a recipe for disaster.

I'll add that if cops earned a decent wage, there wouldn't be much motivation to work 15 hr days.
