  1. Probably. You could try running a few through a resizing die and see what happens. Look very carefully for cracks. Aluminum work hardens a lot and isn't easy to anneal like brass. Depends on how hot it gets and how much it expands when fired.
  2. Depends on which version of aluminum the cases are made from. Some alloys might be reloadsble, but others likely wouldn't. Since the whole point of aluminum cases is reduced cost, I feel sure the manufacturer isn't going to spend the extra money on higher grade material that would be more amiable to reloading.
  3. Interesting and somewhat disappointing... they demonstrate poor technique several times in that M&P video. If you have trouble, don't try it like they show, pinching the rear of the slide and pulling. That's probably the hardest way to do it. Check the link above...
  4. https://appleseedinfo.org/ Not competition per se, but good training and perhaps a way find out more about matches.
  5. Fast, pretty, cheap... pick any 2. Cars, boats, guns, women.... In God we trust, all others must have data.
  6. What's wrong with it? Parts for stuff like that are usually available, and sometime they can be inexpensive to fix.
  7. God grant me coffee to change the things I can, whisky to accept the things I can't, and wisdom to know the difference. Experience is what you get right after you need it.
  8. Don't go cluttering up things with facts. No one ever won a vote by presenting facts.
  9. Try this... I have a 6904, it's very good.
  10. I saw a distinct lack of passion on the Alabama team and staff. They appear to treat it like a job. When things go right... ho hum, that's what was supposed to happen. Saban only gets excited when things go wrong. It doesn't seem to be a very positive environment. The culture is what Clemson's receiver Ross mentioned as to why he chose them over Alabama (being from Alabama). Heck, even Kiffen complained about Saban being something of a tyrant.
  11. I suppose they could pressure him to resign.
  12. The police chief typically reports to the city/county mayor, so the state governor wouldn't directly fire a city police chief. However, the governor can lean hard on the mayor to do so.

    Cetme or PTR

More accurate, more reliable guns are always more fun. Save a few extra bucks and get an AR10 or FAL. Or find a 308 AK. Those are FUN.
  14. Good game, I expected it to be closer. Obviously not the favorite here in TN, but anyone who beats Alabama can't be all bad...
  15. I believe it was a Rural King email, but I saw an ad for an M&P-15 Sport for $379. Wow.
  16. I installed the Apex aluminum trigger (not the sear, springs, etc.) because my finger tends to go to the middle of the radius, right on the hinge. When I pull, it doesn't reliably hinge the trigger and disengage the safety first, so I'd get a big pop when it would release. Never caused an unexpected discharge, but clearly not good for accuracy. The blade style aluminum trigger doesn't do that, and it's a little less mushy too. I haven't shot a 2.0 either. I feel sure it's better, but I'd expect the same issue with the hinge.
  17. This x1000. Some nitwit near me with an "I'm compensating for something" truck has LED headlights that are just plain hateful. Last time he got behind me, I pulled off into a side street just to get him ahead of me.
  18. Get LED replacements. Friend of mine did that to his outback and the LED's have been in there for years. It was pain to convert as I saw pictures of what looked like the whole front clip scattered around his garage, but it seems to have been worth it.
  19. I did stop and browse in the Columbia location a few years ago. Nice enough and a big place for sure, I was sorely tempted to spend a lot of money. Good thing I was broke after a week at the beach.
  20. I built a frankenFAL. It's a big, heavy gun, but it's fun.
  21. I have a Shield and have been happy with it. More so since I installed an Apex trigger. The hinged factory trigger just didn't work well for me. Its too big for me to pocket carry, but it conceals very well in a good belt holster. As for weight, I find it's more about balance than total weight. I find carrying 2 spare mags opposite the gun less fatiguing than the gun by itself. And a good gun belt makes all the difference.
  22. A Kentucky longrifle or 1874 Sharps that's affordable.
  23. Him and Mean Gene both passed today.
  24. Try your local public library or a used book store. You might be surprised at what you find.
