  1. Cool toys. Like the fab work. Wish I was good at that.
  2. If he's been kicked out by his parents, I would presume he and the local police are already fairly well acquainted. Depending on his disposition, actively engaging the police could do more immediate harm than good, but I do think it's a good idea to get his name, a photo, and have a conversation with the PD.
  3. Word of mouth will be your best method. Get your work out there, car guys like to talk.
  4. Find and put him in touch with resources that can get him the help he needs. Without being there and interacting with the guy, I can't say if he's just a hoodlum trying to prey on the church or he's truly seeking help. And I agree that those most likely to interface with him directly absolutely need to be "in the know".
  5. Sounds really nice. Noise will be your biggest issue.
  6. 6 gallons of corn in a jar. Yep, I'd say that'll do.
  7. Get a heavy plastic mallet or use a wood block to protect the case, then whack it, it'll come loose. Could also try leaving the bolts only loose a couple turns and tapping on the bolt heads.
  8. Our garden is kinda meh so far. The yellow squash just rolled over and died before making any fruit. The zucchini made some fruit before the stink bugs got it. The rabbits ate the okra to the ground. Cucumbers are hanging on, but definitely not thriving. Tomatoes are ok, got a few with black spot and the birds keep pecking holes in them. That giant volunteer vine turned out to be a white pumpkin. Got 2 gourds and the vine appears to be dying. Maybe I'll get a summer pumpkin pie.
  9. This. If they don't directly threaten you (not car jacking), call 911 and get a good description, pics, video, etc. Shooting at someone who's stealing stuff is a bad idea for several reasons.... jail, civil suit, etc.
  10. While reading this and not fully understanding parts of it, I found this... http://founding.com/the-declaration/historical-context-2/ ... which has clickable sections with additional context and explanation. I found it helpful.
  11. Hmmmm.... hadn't thought of that. The Shockwave might not be completely useless after all.
  12. Existing permits will become the enhanced permit.
  13. This is the best online resource I know of. http://handgunlaw.us/ There are also a few phone apps available that provide similar info.
  14. Stamped "US" no less. Interesting.

    House Wash?

Then she can clean the durn thing.
  16. I've got one on an AR. No complaints.

    House Wash?

Indeed. My current house is brick. I don't miss cleaning siding. It completely baffles me why people paint a brick house.
  18. Liquor in the front, poker in the rear (?) Couple things about the color... My blade wasn't as dark to begin with as some of the others. I sat it at an angle to make the light reflect off the surface so the pattern in the Damascus and the primary bevel would pop more in the photo. And I've used it a fair bit so the black oxide is wearing off a little, which is normal. The darkness of black oxide can vary significantly.
  19. Here's mine.... sawmill in the front, damascus in the back.
  20. I wondered what those (P-14) were. Didn't recognize the rear sight.
  21. Looks like one of his smaller sawblade knives. I have one and it's really handy.

    House Wash?

We used something similar years ago. You don't want to get it on you. If it's not caked on, just wetting it down and spraying with simple green works fairly well. A brush on a pole works for stubborn spots.

    V B S

Our church had a VBS first a couple weeks ago.... we expelled a child. Yeah. Seems an adult tried to intervene when one child was trying to choke another child, and the adult got a bloody nose for her efforts. I'm told the kids were about 8 yrs old. Fun times.
