Eliminating nuisance wildlife that's a danger to kids and critters isn't hunting so those rules don't apply. https://www.tn.gov/twra/law-enforcement/wildlife-damage-control.html https://www.tn.gov/content/tn/twra/wildlife/mammals/large/coyotes.html From what I read above, trapping them and shooting them seems to be the recommended method.

I'd document the lack of interest from animal control. Call the Sheriff's office or 911 when you see it and document those calls. Squeaky wheel gets the grease. Live animal traps aren't very difficult to use.

Carry a decent paper map of the general area and a compass. Most phones have a compass built in, though some require you to be moving for it to work properly. GPS won't tell you when it's just guessing. Just like with a phone, signal is poor deep in the valleys. I don't know anything about Beaman park, but given how small it is, I'd think you could climb a hill and look around to figure out the best direction to go. Otherwise, some basic knowledge of the general area and a look at the sun can point you in the right direction. That guy may be an avid hiker, but he's a clueless avid hiker. He should visit a local scout pack and learn a few things.

I think it's a good secondary measure. I say "secondary" because it's detection, not prevention. The BG is already somewhere he shouldn't be. The idea of integrating the cameras for better situational awareness is a good one. Very complex to implement, but a good direction to work toward. I suspect it will have similar difficulties as many of the autonomous vehicle systems with differentiating objects in a dynamic environment. It been well proven that these systems get confused and react incorrectly.

Mmmmm .... Pals milkshakes.

Rule #2... Double tap.

I don't think Joe will quit. He could become the Ross Perot of the democrats, so they want him gone.
-
They realize Joe is a liability and this is an indirect way of eliminating him.

Having the crap beat out of you every game because the o-line can't hold the defense back for more than 3 seconds takes a toll both mentally and physically. A successful quarterback begins with good protection.

Question about castle doctrine
peejman replied to mscar111's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
Very important point... the one who calls it in first is always assumed to be the victim. -
Hmmmm. Would be unfortunate if that umpire had a hunting accident.

Could this be it? Colt hasn't been relevant in the AR market for at least a decade and is generally a financial disaster. Banks have been putting a pinch on gun companies. Did some bank executives tell Colt they'd give them a better loan rate if they outwardly bow out of the "EBR" market as a political statement? Yeah....

I suspect that, but I wouldn't be surprised if 3 or 4 of them had guns. If they started shooting back, it could get ugly fast with an 8 rd mag and no cover. I'm married with 2 young kids whom I really want to see grow up. As someone else said, perhaps just running and shouting aggressively would cause the roaches to scatter. I guess it would depend if these were just street hoodlums or hardened gang bangers. If the latter....

I've been thinking about this all morning. What would I do if I happened across this scene 30 seconds into the video? I would feel obligation to intercede on the victim's behalf, i couldnt just watch the guy get killed.... But.... I'm outnumbered at least 10:1. There is no apparent cover or position of advantage I could take. My EDC doesn't have nearly enough rounds for all those people. If I intervene, are they gonna run, or pull their guns and shoot back? I'm not in bad shape for a guy in his mid 40's, but I doubt I could outrun all of them should they turn their attention to me. I can't see any good options other than just calling it in. Which is terrible, but what else is there?

Missing a lot of preliminary details, but situational awareness is key. Some basic self defense skills are highly valuable.

Cool. Is the drivetrain compatible with all the late model mustang 4.6 stuff?

Cool. Seen this guy?

I also lost interest in the aftermath of Dale Sr.'s death. What they did to Bill Simpson was all I needed to know. Today's NASCAR has as much in common with racing as WWE has with wrestling.

I've never really been a Ford guy, but those are seriously cool cars. Very space-age rocket ship looking. Modern take on a lead sled.

Some people have cool jobs.

TR6? Austin Mini? Those little sports cars are a blast ... when they run.

The latter, of course. https://www.guitarworld.com/artists/forgotten-guitar-joe-satriani-plays-surfing-alien-strat-copy

If they were fighting over a fish, it's likely that was a Osprey rather than a hawk. My parents live on the lake and have a resident pair that we see/hear pretty routinely. Mom loves watching the eagle cams.
