A few minutes with sandpaper and a rattle van would fix the muffs.

Qustion about Loudon County , Tennessee.

This. And there is no "common property" like out west. -
Buy stock in all the PPV services. They're making a killing.

Sounds like my kids underwear. My wife was doing laundry yesterday hollered "this is GROSS!!!" on several occasions. I threatened to make them go wipe their butts in the grass like a dog.

I thought that's what shower curtains were for?

I can see rationing utilities and seizing property, but closing the liquor stores?!?! That's going too far!!

Not price gouging, capitalism. Where there's panic, there's profit. Which makes me wonder about this stock market silliness. How is the DOW "plummeting" with all this unprecedented spending going on?

One of the first things I do when I get a new pistol is clean it and use only a tiny bit of lube. Then I sit on the couch and cycle the slide a couple hundred times. Then I look for witness marks where it's rubbing or burrs and perhaps polish those areas a little. -
The birthing wards better start planning for January 2021.

So how are they? As for work, I have no "work from home" options. I do have a significant amount of time off saved up, so I can burn a couple weeks if I have to. As for travel, I think the first week of April may be interesting. Spring break is next few weeks here. I know lots of people are headed to the beach for the week. Most all of the southeast coastal states have diagnosed cases. I expect the number of cases to shoot up by mid April.

It seems the speed at which it's spreading is the biggest problem. Its hitting so many people so fast that it's overwhelming the ability to care for everyone. I think the virus spreading across the globe is inevitable, the problem is slowing it down to a manageable rate. Hopefully the warmer weather in our hemisphere will help, but it may get worse as winter comes to the bottom half.

Training your wife. That's the funniest thing I've heard in weeks!!! wait, is this the joke thread? Seriously though... in my experience, the best person to train your wife is someone else.

Me too. Which makes it very similar to the various strains of the flu virus that go around every year, which we largely ignore. The only noticeable difference I see is a stark and intriguing lack of effect on little kids, which will certainly have to be investigated. I really, really never thought I'd say this, but I think Elon Musk is right on this one.

Does anyone think the number of people diagnosed is remotely accurate? A large number of those who have been confirmed to have the virus have reported relatively minor symptoms. What percentage of people who get a cold that's treatable with OTC meds see a doctor at all? I don't go to my doctor unless I've been miserable for at least a week. I'd presume I'm in the majority there. That leads me to believe that it's way more widespread than is being reported. Which also means the death rate isn't nearly as high as currently stated.

Good to know that my personal experience, and the experience of several people I know is pure unadulterated bs. People and birds have very different physiology, hence different tolerance and reaction to lead poisoning. Given that your average hawk weighs 3 lbs or less, it's reasonable to assume the bird might be fractionally more sensitive to lead than a human based simply on body weight. Yes, we nearly hunted bison to extinction. Numbers of the vast majority of animals plummeted during that time as well. But let's not learn from any of that if it's inconvenient. Most raptors don't swallow rocks, they're able to digest the soft parts and then cast (throw up) a pellet of the indigestible parts (fur, bones, etc.). Swallowing rocks is much more common in birds that eat grass and bugs and hence spend much more time on the ground.

Sounds like a Steel Panther song title.

Google has educated me. I first thought it strange that the Finnish army would use a Galil. But it seems that's an likely RK62 (which I'd never heard of) on which the Galil is based. Interesting.

Partial trade? Can't hurt to ask. I took a rifle in partial trade for a motorcycle several years ago.

I doubt you'll be able to do much by modifying the disconnector or notch without compromising its function. Changing springs might be a better solution. You might look carefully and see if polishing any of the mating surfaces might make it run a little smoother. -

That's not much room to work. How far does the disconnector have to move before it disconnects? -
I've worn one of his daily for about 10 years. It's still in good shape.

Does the slide move any distance rearward before contacting the disconnector, or does it lock into place just as the slide closes? -

Could you re-shape the disconnector and/or the notch to make it move over a greater length of travel? Could you install a lighter spring so it's easier to move?
