The fringe was common among trappers/mountain men/frontiersmen in the 1800's. It was considered a badge of honor and visually distinguished them.

I only ever used a pellet rifle for pest control. Tried for head shots whenever possible. As mentioned, shooting a .22 up in the air isn't the best idea unless you're very attentive to the backstop. I'd think a 12ga would blow them to smithereens.

We always have a few veggies appear in the flower beds, usually tomatoes but have had the odd squash and bean plant appear. We've also got herbs that have spread to various places, most of them are considered weeds anyway. I leave them be unless they get in the way ... dill can grow 5 ft high.

Looks great! Pressure treated 4x6's will last a lot longer than landscape ties. Stone lasts a lot longer than wood.

It's a process. Took us about a year and a half. If you want another dog, the right one will come along.
-
Agreed. We have one in the front yard.

No idea about west TN. They've been running fiber cables here for the last 6 months and I've seen zip about when it'll be available.

Remember Mission Impossible 2? In order to create the ultimate vaccine, you must create the ultimate virus.
-
Once the virus is out, its out functionally forever. People thought that diseases like polio and small pox had been eradicated through vaccines, but the no-vax movement has illustrated that they're still around. The vast majority of people have immunity to it, but that doesnt mean the virus is gone. C19 will be no different.

My wife and boys got our garden planted over the last few days. Just the usual beans, cukes, squash, maters, etc. I spent last night installing chicken wire to (hopefully) keep the rabbits from eating everything. She had a few extra seedlings that we'll try in pots this year. And get this.... my boys think running the little 2-stroke tiller is fun. I'll milk that as long as I can.

No, they just don't care whether it's easy or not.

It can be a pain to get at stuff on the backside of any transverse V6. One thing that's universal among auto makers is a total disregard for ease of service. They only care how fast they can put it together the first time.

I wonder why the POTUS has to say that at all. Why don't the theater commanders have the authority?
-
What they said. Replacing them is easy, it's getting to them that can be hard.

I think you mean the hydrostatic shock. That's fairly unlikely as the chances of a bullet hitting a flat surface on a critter squarely while spinning at 250k rpm aren't great.

I think I overheard a buyer who sits near me order 8000 gallons of Jet-A for $0.89/gal the other day. It was $1.11/gal a couple weeks ago.

I can't recall a single instance of "He seems like a great guy, I'll vote for him." It's always been "well, this one's better than nothing."
-
We watched it last night too.

I'll bring this thread back to life... In the midst of this madness, we brought this guy home Easter weekend. A friend of my wife's dogs unexpectedly had 13 puppies and it was time for our boys to have another dog. He's a black lab, Black Russian terrier mix, we named him Shadow. He leads a hard life around here.... Potty training is still very much a work in process at this point, some apparent tummy issues aren't helping. Otherwise he's very good natured and is learning the basics reasonably well. Our cat (the turd) is unconvinced, which suits me fine.

Marketing. They need a way to distinguish their product in a saturated market.

Looks like we should be there in a couple hours.

There's bunches of great blues players now, they're just not on the radio.
