  1. Sure it is, just depends on the intensity of the effect. That guy seems to be just standing there like it wasnt really bothering him. In that case, no I'm not gonna ground and pound grandma. If I hit her or push her down, it could seriously injure her and i dont want to deal with the consequences of that over a whif of pepper spray. I'll leave that for her future cell mates.
  2. If she got physical I'd defend myself for sure, but I wouldn't "beat her up". I'm not a big guy, but unless that 60-ish grandma has some secret mad ninja skills, I feel pretty comfortable that I could defend myself and hold her until the cops arrive if necessary. All those years wrestling can be useful occasionally. If she pulled a gun, she'd better be faster than me. If it was bear spray, I presume I'd be more concerned with taking care of that. Especially if someone had video.
  3. The behavior of the man shows how effective pepper spray can be. Clearly it's not particularly debilitating. Funny how she leaves right after. I suspect she will be charged with assault. As for beating her up... not a chance. That'll get you your own mug shot to go along with hers.
  4. Splintered the bone, bullet bounced around and did huge tissue damage, heavy blood loss that killed the tissue.... plenty of possibilities.

    MEECES!

I have a P3AT and LCP. Neither are especially fun to shoot, but the LCP is definitely nicer. Both are plenty accurate. I pocket carry them when I feel deep concealment is necessary or I just don't feel like wearing a belt holster, much more common in hot weather.
  6. Does said wearer get tested weekly and check his temp daily to confirm no infection? The idea is to protect everyone else from the typhoid Mary's (or covid Greg's ) of the world. A related anecdote.... my brother in laws kids (twins) constantly had strep when they were little. I started calling them the toxic twins because it seemed like one of them was always sick. Every time my kids would spend time with their cousins, they'd end up sick too. This went on for several years until the twins doctor suggest the parents get tested. The test revealed that their dad was an asymptomatic strep carrier. He had his tonsils removed and none of them have had it since.
  7. I have the same radio. "Not trunked" is going to be your problem. You can check out https://www.radioreference.com/ for all kinds of frequencies. If public safety scanner stuff is what you want, most all of that is trunked. Best alternative I found is an app called scanner radio.
  8. Yep. Weve used both food city and kroger drive up several times over the last few months. Sometimes ok, sometimes less ok. Depends on who's shopping for you. Nothing major, just some weird substitutions or lack thereof. They also do delivery.
  9. Heh, I was just gonna suggest you fish near the Calhoun's. Monsters in there for sure.
  10. Neat. Could save a lot of weight by 3D printing the exterior and I'm sure some of the internals could have a bunch of weight shaved off.
  11. Them's mighty purdy.
  12. Call the county sherrifs office. Your biggest issues will be a proper backstop and noise. If you want, theyll likely send an officer out to give you some advice.
  13. while I was playing it, my wife walking in the room asking if that was her phone or mine ringing.
  14. This band has been around a while but I've just discovered them. I dig it.
  15. Cool pic. Any details with it?
  16. Which contradicts what we think we know about how the human immune system works. If multiple positive tests produce similar symptoms each time, then either we dont know how the immune system works, or there's multiple strains of C19, or its mutating that fast (which basically nullifies a vaccine). If subsequent positive tests produce no symptoms, then the immune system works like we think it does. I'm not sure why people with no symptoms get tested, other than being forced to by their employer due to exposure. Its perfectly reasonable for a person with immunity to test positive, their immune system is doing its job. The anti-vax crowd has proven that these viruses are still around. Just because the vast majority of the public is immune doesn't mean the virus has been eradicated, it just means you don't have symptoms. I suspect the public would be shocked at the results if we started testing for measles, small pox, or polio. As for data manipulation... there's lies, damn lies, and statistics.
  17. Then they'll wonder why that $700 bucket rusts out over the winter.
  18. My 20yr old craftsman gas trimmer finally quit so I got ryobi 18V trimmer a couple months ago. I already had a couple drills so it made sense to have common batteries. It does my half acre lot (with 2 big flowerbeds) easily on a 4.2mAh battery. Takes me about 30 mins. It also uses the same string as the old one which is 0.080" and a round/square hybrid. Its mostly round but has 2 raised edges. It works well enough, I've got about half of a fairly large spool to use up before I got shopping for something different.
  19. That's why I got one. Not too big, not too small. I wanted a hammer rather than a spike, much more useful for me. Mine had handle issues when I got it, the head had peeled a bunch of the wood off during installation. There's no way whoever did it didn't notice. I emailed them a pic and they sent me another handle. Luckily I was able to fix the original handle so now I have a spare.
  20. Some if their stuff is fine for typical homeowner use. Some of it is junk. At least they're owning up and issuing a recall.
  21. I carry a Kershaw kryo which gets most of the abuse. I also carry a small Boker folder for more precision work. My Leatherman has a blade but I rarely use it. I've also got a CRKT Woods Chogan thats proven to be a quite handy little camp axe.
  22. The spyderco, lansky, and smith's sharpener systems all work fine. Pick the one you find on sale.
  23. So its against the law to wear a mask while mandating that people wear a mask. That explains why those making these proclamations generally aren't wearing masks.
  24. This fits just fine with a mask.... And there's a specific exemption for not wearing a mask while eating or drinking. Hmmmm...
  25. Who are you recording with?
